Only one thing. The turnoff into your driveway from Gen. Bruce is not really well-marked. Of course, Temple & TXDOT have their own rules about signage there as well.

The location was not the problem; it was the regional call center representative who made promises that were not fulfilled. Three weeks before I needed a truck and trailer, I called and spoke with a representative. I reserved a 26-foot truck and toy hauler so I could haul my Silverado. I asked for the truck and trailer to be at a Waco location. Two days before pick up, I was told via text that I would have to go to Temple, TX, to get the truck and trailer. Temple is an additional 45 miles from my home. I called back and was told that the Temple location was the closest to me that had a toy hauler, so I agreed to go there to get the truck and toy hauler. Once in Temple, the local representatives were very helpful; however, the toy hauler's lights did not work correctly, and it took the local reps more than an hour to get the toy hauler working correctly. Then I pulled my pickup on the trailer, and it clearly did not fit. The front bumper hung over the front of the trailer, and the back bumper hung over the back of the trailer. There is a line on the trailer that says the rear tires of what is being hauled must be in front of the line. My pickup tires were 1.5 feet behind the line. There was no safe way to strap/chain the pickup to the trailer; it simply did not fit. It was the same representative who said, "I'll have the truck and trailer in Waco for you," who said my pickup would fit on the toy hauler. I did not use the toy hauler and now have to make other arrangements to move my pickup. Additionally, if we had known from the beginning that the toy hauler wouldn't fit my pickup, I could have gotten the truck in Waco and saved myself several hours. I would like to restate that the men I dealt with at the Temple location were polite, professional, and helpful. The regional representative I spoke with to reserve the truck and trailer was wrong in many ways and it cost me a lot of time and money.

They sold my trailer to someone else while I was in the middle of checking it out. Was also told “first come first serve”. Even though I’d made the reservation and was completing my reservation check out with the other employee.

I stopped back with a concern about my hitch and employee named Darrell would not help me or look at hitch?! I decided to make a purchase for new hitch lock and asked him if it would fit my vehicle? He responded that he didn’t know and I would have to purchase item to take 20ft. Outside of front door to check? Unbelievable!! I then asked if item was returnable and he answered “NO…once it’s been opened”! The hitch lock is attached to a piece of cardboard with 2 twist ties!! lol Find another line of work Darrol (not sure on spelling but I heard another employee call him that) I just wanted to know if the item I wanted to purchase would fit my vehicle that was parked 20ft. Outside front door of business! Continually Disillusioned by this incident!

When we got to the location, it was a little hard to tell where exactly to pick up the keys, but a very nice employee helped us out. I will say, he was smoking while doing so, which I personally find a little off putting for conducting business, but to each their own. I do find as a person who does not typically struggle with technology, I feel the app could be a little more user friendly. Overall, good experience.

There's no need to change anything, your staff was so helpful kind and considerate. I had to come back and exchange trucks for a bigger one and it went so smoothly. About 6 months ago I rented a U-Haul from College Station U-Haul and my experience there was okay however my experience in Temple was exceptional. Every time I came in and dealt with the staff they were absolutely courteous kind helpful and understanding. I will definitely rent from you and your temple location again.

During my recent visit, I found the staff to be disengaged and unprofessional, including the individual who did not introduce himself as the manager. There was another employee that was female and the manager told her she was rude for not saying “excuse me” to me when she walked by, which she replied (oh, my bad). While I was waiting for another employee to find my reservation on his phone, the manager was discussing unrelated matters—specifically, that someone had been bitten by a dog—which was inappropriate for the setting. The employee also did not appear to work for U-Haul, I actually thought he was a customer because of his unprofessional attire and hygiene on this date. The staff member (Nick) is what I think his name was since he never introduced himself or welcomed me to the site, escorted me to the wrong truck and left without verifying the vehicle’s ID number. As a result, I had to walk back to the front area to correct the issue. He then drove me around again in a careless manner, despite being in a confined area. When we finally located the correct truck, he commented, “Same numbers and letters, just a different order,” which suggested a lack of attention to detail. I expected this process to be handled accurately and efficiently. After leaving the site, I realized I had forgotten the appliance dolly I rented. While I acknowledge that I should have double-checked, the staff member that assigned me the truck prior to leaving later admitted that he noticed I had forgotten it but chose not to call me. This lack of initiative and communication was disappointing. On the return day, additional issues arose because the incorrect truck had been assigned to me . The contract was not updated, preventing me from completing the return through the mobile app due to mismatched mileage. This was my first experience renting from U-Haul, and unfortunately, it left a negative impression. The lack of professionalism and attention to detail has made me reconsider using this location—or U-Haul in general—for future moves. The only positive interaction I had was with one employee who was courteous and professional when assisting me during the return process. She ultimately directed me to the manager to resolve the contract issue, she was present on my drop off date of 10/26/25 around 11 a.m. I usually would not say anything, but this was a horrible experience and I just can’t believe I spent my money here with these people that failed to represent a well known company (aside from the female I mentioned).

There was an error in billing, I was double charged. However, when I called the location, they explained that I was accidentally triple charged, they corrected one before it hit the bank but one of the errors made it through. Cedric, the assistant MGR explained that the error was made and was being corrected. they caught it on their end and working on corrections. He was transparent and upfront on the error and made the correction.
