Manager (Brandy) was very friendly. She worked with me regarding extra time to finish using the vehicle due to the delay caused by the auto transport tire issue earlier in the day. Lent us a hand dolly from the storage area because she was out of the rental ones. Would be willing to work with her again. In fact, my brother is renting a storage unit at that facility now. Thank you Brandy!

Terrible a lot of my things I had inside the storage was ruined by RATS the tire threw my things and had droppings on everything and tore up my furniture on the bottom and was eating my laundry soap had soap everywhere which ruined my Dresser and damaged some of my Decor pillows.. Trailers are parked everywhere, including in front of doors to access storage units. The back area where most of the trailers are stored is not well lit. The entrance is inconvenient because if there is a line at the gate it backs up onto the highway and blocks traffic. The second door to my storage unit was broken and wouldn't stay up without some effort. I informed the associate working at the time that I moved out that I was done, and he checked the unit and said I didn't need to do anything else. I've gotten multiple texts and emails since then saying I'm late on my payments, but I moved out a week ago! It's almost impossible to reach someone by phone at the location, but I spoke to someone who was going to take care of my issue, but it's still not fixed. I moved out on time and the locks aren't on the unit, so please leave me alone!

The good: the gentleman who checked us in was very helpful in updating our reservation from one way (pick up in Mooresville, drop off in Cornelius) to round trip to save us money. However when we ordered online I thought I did order round trip from Cornelius. The bad: we didn't get the blankets or dolly we ordered. Checking car back in was difficult. Another customer who was there when we checked on couldn't get to her truck because it was blocked in (however customer service was great for her because they allowed her to take our truck.. but she also didn't have the dolly she ordered).

The staff was very nice. However the floor if the truck and especially the ramp was very slippery with cooking oil. Apparently the previous renter spilled oil all over and the staff wasn't able to completely clean the truck. It was very dangerous as I was moving a 350lbs refrigerator.

We had a horrible experience with U-Haul and will be using a different moving service in the future. Our original truck was confirmed on the date and time we selected and when we arrived at 8am we could not access the key. We called for help and the lady that answered was extremely unhelpful and didn’t not have answers for us. We came back when the location opened at 9:30am and talked to a guy that worked there and was not related to our U-Haul pick up. He said the owner had communicated with U-Haul that he was not available for people to come rent U-Haul’s from his location. So he sent us to the U-Haul store in Mooresville. The people in the store were extremely helpful and resolved our issue, got us a truck, and took care of us. We were 3 hours behind on our move and extremely disappointed with how U-Haul rents out their trucks.

All was good and easy. We had to shift a bit near the last for bad weather and all was easily accommodated. Equipment was clean and the truck ran well - easy to 20' drive. A good move for someone who had not moved in 40+ years.

Hello I went in my storage unit to get Christmas decorations out and found mold on several items. I reported to John the worker on duty to come and see. He checked my unit and the one next to it and he said I was the only one with the issue. I did not have rental’s insurance, therefore not claim on the items effected by the mold. I feel some kind of way with this situation because we received a letter talking how clean the facility is and that is the reason price is going . Well loosing value of $1000 in damaged items in such a clean condition makes no sense.

I have asked 4 times for a refund for my July 2024 advanced payment as I checked out of A-24 in Mooresville on June 29th. I will dispute the full charge with the credit card merchant services if half of my $469.90 payment on May 3rd is not refund to my credit card. Call me at 201-262-0412 if necessary.

The facility and staff are great, however the location (right off the busiest road in Mooresville and extremely small parking lot) causes the gate to always get congested. Seems like they never have enough manning and patrons are always angry because of these issues. I've tried to check out twice in person and have called several times to close my account after moving out.

I had this storage unit for over 15 years. During this time I never experienced any issues with this facility nor the unit itself. The building is clean, easily accessible with a key card, and the units are climate controlled. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs storage space in a secure and well-maintained facility.

Booked online and wasn’t told unit I rented was an inside access location having to cart your items in thru hallway. Checked in and then went to unit and it had a lock on it already. Went back to office and waited 7 min for someone to come . Told them about lock, asked for outside access unit and was told they didn’t think they had any without looking it up first. My issue happened after I closed out my unit. The app stated my request to close was subject to managers approval for over a month. I received several threats of past due balances and late fees. I had to call over 6 times, only 2 of which were actually answered by the customer service line, to finally have my unit closed on the system. I know I wasn’t in threat of paying the balance or fees because I requested the close properly on the app the day we cleared out the unit, but the frustration of dealing with notices and fees all while no one at the site ever answered the phone is why I wouldn’t recommend Uhaul storage to anyone.

I was a tenant for 3 yrs.. at the start of the pandemic. I was greeted every morning and anytime I was seen on campus by staff. Manager Brandy was great. She made sure I had everything I needed and was there to help no matter what. I will miss the building I rented and I will miss the staff at uhaul.

Unfortunately a pipe in the climate control area leaked raw human waste on a leather sofa and two large wool rugs. They were ruined. I was told the pipe was full of airplane bottles. Ie mini bottles. So ei someone is living in a locker again or someone onsite drinks at work. Regardless my property was ruined. I had to arrange for time off from work and a truck and help to dispose of my property. This wasn't a act of God. This was a facility not properly maintained. It is my understanding that this happened to someone else as well. Lightning caused fire or tornado would be act of God. A backed up toilet full of liquor bottles is not. Have a sofa and rugs soaked in urine and feces is unbelievable. As for security the gate was broken for a long period and the facility was open 24 hrs a day. I was allowed to store the sofa and rugs in a damaged goods locker until I could move it out. Due to the mold a mildew, I have to question the humidity and temperatures maintained in the controlled storage area. This was an expensive loss.

They staff was very helpful but they are understaffed at the desk. Maybe not for all the time but the times I was there it was a long wait. Again they were kind and helpful but many times I was alone in the front of the store for 10 minutes or longer . Maybe even a camera and speaker to let the people waiting know someone will be coming soon. Otherwise nice place.

Always unsecured and dirty. A uhaul storage employee hit the front of my truck with a uhaul truck. Then denied it and they wouldn’t do anything because the camera wasn’t pointed in my truck’s direction. They always backed up other vehicles to my work truck to make it hard to access and park. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Staff is unprofessional.

Rent prices are always increasing for no reason and improvements are not made to reflect the increased rent. Payment options for people that are behind on payments or have unexpected expenses/circumstances are either pay in full or have the contents of the unit sold and the debt go to collections. Overall just a bad experience over the many years I have had a storage locker with uhaul. Would never recommend and actively discourage anyone from using uhaul storage. Thanks for wasting my time and my money. The employees at the Mooresville NC location that helped me with my storage locker when trying to gain access after missing payment are the only reason I would ever come back. And sadly that would not be enough for me to recommend anyone ever using any uhaul facilities. I don’t have a problem with the employees. I have a problem with how the organization is run. Waste of money. This organization should be ashamed.

Uhaul employees tended to speak in vernacular. “Have you moved in” - to me means have I moved my things into the unit. To them it meant fill out the paperwork online. And then the employee (I think it was the manager whose picture is all over) seemed irritated that I didn’t know what she meant. Overall, facility meets expectations. Friendliness of the manager was sub par.

The entry/exit is poorly setup and not efficient; especially when people with moving trucks or trailers are trying to enter/exit with others. If I would have known this in advance I would have selected a different and more accessible location. Also having no space for after hours drop off of the moving truck was inconvenient as well.

I recommend lookin at the storage unit before renting. The 5 by 8 unit is advertised as big enough for a small 1 bedroom apartment or efficiency, and this is not the case. It may be helpful to have pictures of the units.

Bathrooms filthy at all times, almost never cleaned except by me. Another tenant allowed to play ridiculously loud music even after multiple complaints, in violation of the contract term's, making it near impossible for me to do my work. I had to constantly reschedule work and do my work around his hours. A/C and ventilation to my office hasn't worked in over a month as of my move out date. Issues with frequently breaking toilets go unrepaired as well.

My experience was wonderful up until I asked to extend my unit for 1 week. I moved from out of state, and the closing on my house was held up a week. I was told no, that they would have to charge me over $500.00 for 1 extra night. I asked if I could speak with someone in corporate, and was told they would direct the call right back to her, and the answer is no. I was willing to prorate for a whole week even though I only needed 1 night. The situation was out of my control, and I feel that it is very poor business practice to not be flexible in anyway.

We were storing an enclosed trailer here and had a wonderful experience. We no longer have that trailer and that is the only reason we no longer need their service. We also needed to rent a large indoor storage area and when they did not have anything available that would meet our needs, directed us to a nearby U-Haul facility that could accommodate us. They have fantastic staff!

The layout of the parking lot is terrible, and navigating around other vehicles can be difficult (not that U-Haul is at fault). When I got to my storage unit there were belongings from a previous renter left inside that I had to deal with myself.

My grandmother had a storage building with you since 2018. I was on her account as someone who had access or a backup I was told. She had been making payments to you writing checks.. Covid had been rough on us we werent allowed to come help her much except through a window to the outside. This facility somehow was contacting her to remind her to make payments as her checks were going to this place.. I know because I had to drive to the facility to make sure they had one in hand and to get assurance they were cashing it... One check went for over a week without being deposited I had to ride up there to question payment and then someone found her check laying where it shouldnt have been... She passed away a few weeks ago and I was her backup on her account I went to clear out the locker yet Nobody every let me know that her account was in error. Calling this place is near impossible yet every time we show up someones on that phone on a personal call outside smoking on that phone so I know it works its not hard to know its personal because you can hear the conversation through that door or see someones cell phone to their ear not other company gets to make personal calls on the clock, But nobody called me and her phone at her rest home didnt have calls missed either. We didnt receive any notices. I questioned the address and someone had it addressed wrong.. that address being wrong didnt make sense as we have rented trucks and Ive shown my ID several times and thats clearly printed on my ID.. So basically on her what would be birthday a few days ago had she not passed away shortly before this place sold a 130 year old bed that she was born in for a mere 45.00 that was in her storage along with other items left to my siblings and my cousins. The girl who talked to us wasnt much help, she said this is only the second time this had happened and was freaking out we havnt heard from them. Its a shame that backups arent utilized and employees at this station toss in typos for contacts without confirming them off IDs they scan.

It was horrible. I rented a storage unit on Saturday went back to access it Sunday after hours. To find somebody else lock on the unit. So I had no access to it. Losing all the help I had. So I returned on Monday with a truck full of stuff my wife and my self. (Losing a days pay from work). To get absolutely no help from cashier. Passing along my problems to the manager. Who in turn tried to open the unit by drilling the lock. Must of tried for about two minutes. Than telling me there was nothing she could do. But refund my money back not telling me that there was a 50 dollar guaranteed for not fulfilling my reservation. Another customer told me. So than I had to argue with her about it. Didn’t bother offering me another unit. Nothing. She basically sent me on my way. I will never use this facility ever again and definitely would never recommend to anyone!!!!!!

I do understand the times we are living now, and this locations seems to be overwhelmed, I was planning to keep the storage unit, but I found several times that the door was not working properly at off hours. Having to call a number to get a passcode because the remote was not working. Always the in/out main door blocked with customers, truck and trailers. Not friendly staff, always blaming the customer, I can tell their life is miserable, because they do not enjoy being there, with such a cluster. Anyway, I found a better place where to store my stuff. Hopefully, I wont need U-haul anymore, but if I do, I know what location to avoid. Thanks,

After renting the unit I found that it was an indoor unit with no outside access. I am elderly and walk with a cane; I cannot handle an indoor unit; I must be able to drive my vehicle directly to the storage unit. I immediately - within minutes - contacted the U-Haul facility, told them my situation, asked to cancel the rental, and requested a refund. So far, the U-Haul facility has not cancelled nor refunded. Their only response has been to tell me that the indoor unit doesn't have any steps. Please help me.

I only gave this facility an average rating because when I arrived to move-in to the storage unit which I reserved back in March 2021 it had been rented out to someone else. The staff in the office were great and made every effort to find accommodations for me in the area (which were sold out). They did come up with a solution & I was able to store my belongings as planned.

When I arrived in NC, I was helped by Joseph who took the time to walk me the through the process step-by-step. He walked through the rain to show me where the unit was and showed me the do's and don't of working and locking the garage door. He was pleasant, professional and made the experience very easy. The owners of this Uhaul facility were very helpful with any and all questions I had. Working with them and Uhaul made our cross state move much easier. This included the rental of a large 26 foot truck and use of the storage facility in Mooresville until we were able to move into our new home. I’m not a new customer. I merely had a credit compromise which caused me to get a new card. In doing so, my account could not be automatically charged. I sent and email as the first letter instructed as an option. Heard nothing. I called and got a live person and changed my card on file. I received yet another letter now with multiple late fees. I called again and waited online for greater than 10 mins until a Corp contact took the call. She ran my card complete with all late fees. I’m paid up through Nov 5th. I will make every attempt to move out all my belongings by then if possible. There is no sense in how hard communication is between customers. Terrible customer experience.

Montana Overman and Joseph (last name?) were ALWAYS on site, VERY helpful and friendly. The storage unit area was always clean and all of the trucks received great care! We had 10x30 and 10x15 rentals relocating from MA to NC so needless to say we spent ALOT of time at this facility. I would recommend this U-Haul location to anyone looking to be treated as though you truly DO matter!! They both put their all into making the arduous task of moving a more pleasant experience! There was a giant pole in my storage unit which took up probably about a 4th of my storage space. I also asked the person upfront if he could cancel my storage and he told me that I did not need to be there for that but it took me until I got an email about my storage payment coming up for me to realize that he did not do that. Everything else was perfectly fine. He seemed to be a nice guy and was helpful just seemed overwhelmed and overworked and i would recommend y’all get more employees. Also I do not like the fact that if the employees do not pick up the phone after 3 rings your customer service people pick up the phone. If i am calling a specific location I would like to be able to talk to that location not customer service. I called multiple times the day that I got my unit and I was not able to contact anybody from this location and it was very frustrating.

My access code / clicker for the gate never worked and when I asked about it each time I was told they fixed it . Rude and confrontational when requested to open the gate cause clicker wasn’t working

Remarkable and friendly customer service, especially during Pandemic. I witnessed customers who were impatient and often rude, but UHaul employees kept smiling. Great job! My only complaint is the long wait time on your telephone system. Thanks you.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Only criticism was that the fob to open the access gate did not work on multiple occasions which resulted in delays waiting in the lobby to get resolved.

I wanted climate control storage and figured Uhaul has been around for a long time. When the staff took me to see size of unit inside, it was VERY CLEAN!! Even the hallways. I didn’t have to search for the dolly, it was right inside the door! I feel very confident about my decision to use this storage facility!! There are storage facilities on every corner but by choosing Uhaul and moving my stuff in I know I made the right choice!!!!

I was only a few days after my monthly payment when I terminated my storage and you Uhaul will not does not pro rate or give you any of your money back so I paid for additional month and didn't even use it !!!
