According to the dash oil indicator, I noticed the truck was very low on oil. Might need to check that more closely..

REGINALD WI had made a reservation(74880838) at the Auburn AL location. When I arrived on Friday to pick up my trailer, they did nto have it nor any others that fit my needs. They called and found one in Columbus GA, which was 40 mile the opposite direction I needed to go. So I had no choice but to drive the extra miles, which cost me way more in gas money and time. I had to return back to teh Columbus location which again cost me extra time and gas. Why even allow a reservation if you can't honor it? I am dissatisfied with the whole process, which was not the locations fault. The people there were very friendly and helpful. Next time I need a rental I will look at other options, as U-Haul failed big time.

I was offer a pathetic $50 off of my expenses. Didn't even cover the cost of gas. Supervisor for the area was supposed to call me. Never did. I hope to never iuse U-Haul again. What is a reservation for? A Hope and a prayer?

MATTHEW NThe location of the registers/service desks are placed where they cannot be seen when you walk into the store. With this comes zero welcome from associates because they can't see you either. Poor planning on that part. I moved my deceased mothers items from her unit on the May 9th and asked the associate (with a mouth full of food) if i would be due a partial refund. He said I wouldn't due to the fact that the last payment was charged on the April 27th. What's that? 10-12 days? Lat I checked a payment covered a months rent. Maybe I misunderstood what he said due to the two female associates hanging out chatting dropping "G D" bombs and talking about what they had for lunch. Thinking that my mother came here alone to store her items really bothers me.

Got it all planned, took time off work to pack my U-box, then nobody shows up. The very end of my timeframe passes, I give it extra time. Nothing. I call them, they had absolutely no idea my order even exists. Then, they tell me they don’t have what they need to drop it off. So they’re almost half a day late, then don’t have me on the schedule for pickup. So again, I have to micromanage since nobody can do their job. Then, they schedule and no-show TWICE for pickup and tell me because of that - my box will not be dropped off during the timeframe it was supposed to be at my new apt 4 hours away. This was the most disappointing experience I’ve had in a while, and it’s insane that I paid as much as I did when I had to be the one to do the job I’m paying for.

TIMOTHY PThe place and staff are nice. The motorcycle trailer is crap regarding the ride. Constantly vibrating at different speeds and very noisy. This is the 3rd one I have rented from them and all tow horribly. I have owned 2 trailers so I know. I voiced my concerns each time. I think it’s the old out of balance tires causing it.

MARCIA HThe guy that came out to get me hooked up noticed my hitch was a little too tall and the jack on the auto transport was about 1" short of being able to raise the hitch (I don't have a tall truck, just a pretty tall travel trailer I usually pull). I was just about to try calling my neighbor when he said, "That's no problem man, it happens all the time. We have a couple loaners, let me go grab one."; I can't remember that employee's name, but he is the reason we'll be coming back, he definitely made a return customer out of me!

TINA SStaff was excellent during rental process, but equipment needs to be serviced before renting A couple of items needed attention. (1) While tires did not fail during my rental, they were at minimal tread depth and should be replaced. (2) Trailer light connection harness (and included harness extension on the trailer) had corroded connectors. I had to clean these connections to keep my truck from reporting a faulty wiring connection especially during inclement weather. It appears that road salt (or salt water) had damaged the connectors during a prior rental.

Storage units are infested with big roaches, although they place bug traps in your unit, it's steal not safe from bug and roaches. The lighting are terrible, it comes on when it wants. Edward H | Overall ExperienceI relocated to Georgia with my job. I placed items in storage due to lack of housing at the time. In October a suite case containing a laptop computer and several other items were stolen from one of my units. I went into the location and learned that the things had most likely been taken by an employee of the company. I returned to the business with the police, and filed an insurance claim. None of which went anywhere because although they had me on camera bringing the items into the unit they claim not to see anyone remove them from the facility. Later a work related injury placed me out of work for several months with no income. As a result I struggled and fell behind on my storage payments. In August 2 of my 3 storage units were scheduled for auction. I contacted the site manager who agreed to accept 1,000$ and give me time to pay the remainder. When I called to make the payment for the 1,000$ he told me that he could not accept 1,000$ that I would have to pay the past due balance in full. At that time I had the option to pay for 1 of the 3 units online because it was not scheduled for auction, but I was attempting to save all three units. So I tried to work with the manager I inquired about the past due balance amount (because it was more than I believed it should be) he informed me that a payment I'd made against my account had been reversed. I asked why he couldn't tell me. I explained that I'd only ever used 2 cards to make payments and that both belonged to me, and that I'd never disputed the charge. He told me that I'd have to contact customer service because it was done through them. Moving forward I continued to try to come up with the money in the time he'd given me. I was 200$ short of the 2,033$ I needed when I received a notice that my entire account had been closed out. I contacted the 800 number because I didn't think the location was open at that hour of morning. I spoke with a representative who pulled up the account then reached out to the location. She spoke with the manager then informed me that he'd told her all 3 of my units had auctioned. I asked her how that was possible when only 2 of my units were scheduled for auction. She checked and verified that only 2 of the units were scheduled for auction then place another call to the location. She came back to the line and informed me that the manager had assured her that he'd auctioned all 3 units. She then instructed me to contact the district manager Rodger, and provided me with his number, because she said that only the units that were scheduled for auction were able to be auctioned. I placed a call to Rodger who was not available. I left message for him, and have not yet received a response. I placed a second call to Mr. Rodgers office informing them that one of the 3 storage units contained a safe with a hand gun, birth certificates, social security cards, will, life insurance, and passport documents, and that I also had a laptop in my unit that belonged to the company that I work for that is programed with trademark information. Additionally I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Georgia Attorney General, and the Fair Trade Commission. If Uhaul persist in this theft I will also be taking legal action against Uhaul and specific members of their staff.

The only issue - and it is a big detractor - was that we found German roaches (dead) in our storage unit and in our stored items. There were no bugs in our items prior to them being stored. I would not recommend the units to others for this reason.

My access card was NEVER fixed for me to get access to the size where my unit was all the way on the OTHER side of the building. The slidng doors were broken and ofTEN STUCK. Pest control was absolutely non existent. I would never ever recommend this place and I will continue to seek a refund for all the excessive issues that were nwvsd addressed until DAYS or a week later and it never got fixed period. And you charge me and plus a LATE FEE??? YOUR ACCESS CARD DIDNT EVEN work and YOUR ROL UP DOOR Had been broken. For TWO YEARS YOUR store manager AARON SAID HIMSELF!!! I will continue to do whatever necessary to get my money back when I was out of there when Aaron said it would be NO PROBLEM to my friends husband Clifton. I decided to not use the storage at this location because of the distance it would take to walk back and forth. It was not convenient so I decided to cancel. It took two months and numerous phone calls before it was able to be cancelled. I kept getting emails about payment due. No one ever answered the phone. One guy said he would close it but never did. Finally, the guy who helped me on 30 August closed it out.

Facility is clean.

I decided to change storage companies as I got more space, first month free rent, & the monthly fee is about what I was paying plus more space. It is very conveniently located, staff was very friendly & helpful when I moved in. Yes, I highly recommend this company to anyone!

Dale R | Overall ExperienceThe storage was fine. My not recommending u-haul to a friend is my concern over how you are handling the Covid 19 issue. Marks on the floor for social distancing while renting a truck but obviously no mask requirement for customers or staff. I saw one staff member with a mask mid July when I was dropping off a rental. You've got 3 service windows, two with partitions and one just open. No protection between customer and employees. I find it unacceptable in this climate not to require staff to mask up when interacting with customers. In good conscious I can not support businesses who put profit ahead of public health.
