TAMMIE F. | First ImpressionsThe staff at this place steals and ramble through your belongings. I recommend better security. Storage units are infested with big roaches, although they place bug traps in your unit, it's steal not safe from bug and roaches. The lighting are terrible, it comes on when it wants. The storage unit needs floor, wall repairs and paint work done to the units.

Edward H. | Overall ExperienceI relocated to Georgia with my job. I placed items in storage due to lack of housing at the time. In October a suite case containing a laptop computer and several other items were stolen from one of my units. I went into the location and learned that the things had most likely been taken by an employee of the company. I returned to the business with the police, and filed an insurance claim. None of which went anywhere because although they had me on camera bringing the items into the unit they claim not to see anyone remove them from the facility. Later a work related injury placed me out of work for several months with no income. As a result I struggled and fell behind on my storage payments. In August 2 of my 3 storage units were scheduled for auction. I contacted the site manager who agreed to accept 1,000$ and give me time to pay the remainder. When I called to make the payment for the 1,000$ he told me that he could not accept 1,000$ that I would have to pay the past due balance in full. At that time I had the option to pay for 1 of the 3 units online because it was not scheduled for auction, but I was attempting to save all three units. So I tried to work with the manager I inquired about the past due balance amount (because it was more than I believed it should be) he informed me that a payment I'd made against my account had been reversed. I asked why he couldn't tell me. I explained that I'd only ever used 2 cards to make payments and that both belonged to me, and that I'd never disputed the charge. He told me that I'd have to contact customer service because it was done through them. Moving forward I continued to try to come up with the money in the time he'd given me. I was 200$ short of the 2,033$ I needed when I received a notice that my entire account had been closed out. I contacted the 800 number because I didn't think the location was open at that hour of morning. I spoke with a representative who pulled up the account then reached out to the location. She spoke with the manager then informed me that he'd told her all 3 of my units had auctioned. I asked her how that was possible when only 2 of my units were scheduled for auction. She checked and verified that only 2 of the units were scheduled for auction then place another call to the location. She came back to the line and informed me that the manager had assured her that he'd auctioned all 3 units. She then instructed me to contact the district manager Rodger, and provided me with his number, because she said that only the units that were scheduled for auction were able to be auctioned. I placed a call to Rodger who was not available. I left message for him, and have not yet received a response. I placed a second call to Mr. Rodgers office informing them that one of the 3 storage units contained a safe with a hand gun, birth certificates, social security cards, will, life insurance, and passport documents, and that I also had a laptop in my unit that belonged to the company that I work for that is programed with trademark information. Additionally I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Georgia Attorney General, and the Fair Trade Commission. If Uhaul persist in this theft I will also be taking legal action against Uhaul and specific members of their staff.
Ekaterina E. | Overall ExperienceI’m pretty disappointed in this experience… the key card I was given did not work and I was locked out in the middle of my move. Thank god my friend was still in the storage unit and I was able to stop him from coming outside to load the vehicle… otherwise our belongings would’ve been stranded in the storage facility until the next day… and we would’ve bee n bk in atl by then… That same day, I had to pay for a lock when I booked online… and finally bc the key card didn’t work the alarm went off… overall stressful and unfulfilling…

James S. | Overall ExperienceOur overall experience was pretty good. The building security was great and the access hours were convenient. The only issue - and it is a big detractor - was that we found German roaches (dead) in our storage unit and in our stored items. There were no bugs in our items prior to them being stored. I would not recommend the units to others for this reason.
