Complete shit show , still haven’t settled my bill .can’t get a call back from supervisor ( Scott columbe) . Trying to charge for stuff I didn’t get . Trying to charge for fuel when I returned the truck with more gas than I started with . I’ve used u haul many many times but probably will not ever again ..

The guys that were in the office when we rented was great
DARLENE HWe moved recently and there isn't a convenient U-Haul Storage in the area so we had to rent with another company which doesn't compare . My husband and I really enjoyed everything about the North Sarasota location. We never had a problem or issue in the three years we rented there.

But "Dave W." was about the worst person I ever had to deal with. Openly hostile and apparently disgusted that I was there. I was polite and courteous through the whole ordeal, as I just needed a trailer and was unaware that there was another location further south. Between the ineptitude inside and wasting time finding the assigned trailer on the lot, 45 minutes to pick up the trailer. And there was only one other customer at the time. Absolutely the worst.

CHARLES LUHAUL SENT THE WRONG U-BOXES to my home on moving day. It was pouring rain. We wasted 2 hrs waiting to get the correct boxes. Not good.

Had to wait 2 hours for them to fix a flat tire and had to return the trailer back to Sarasota vs the drop off in St Pete, which is what my reservation was for an Extra two hours driving to return the trailer for that also. Then they would not offer the $50.00 guarantee as stated on your website if the reserved item is not available at pick up or any compensation for my inconvenience.
John HThey were helpful at check in and somewhat efficient once it was your turn. But not great at communicating to people as they come in to form a line etc. It looks like 2-3 checkin counters but only one person doing checkin and one prepping rented equipment. But did their jobs well enough. My equipment was available and ready this time and each time except for once in the past. I rent a trailer twice a year to move my daughter in and then out of school each year.

DAVID DMy original pick up location was at the 4861 S Tamiami location. When I arrived they informed me that they did not have the equipment and I had to go to the 7850 N Tamiami location. I was not notified of this change prior to my arrival at 4861. The person at 4861 did not apologize or explain why this happened or why I was not notified. U Haul asks for feedback. It appears the folks working at 4861 do not really care about good customer experience. I realize things happen, but this was not handled well.
SAM V2 staff offered different opinions on need to stop at Weigh Stations w 15' rental. customer shouldn't have to guess at this when on the road.

For 2 days I tried to rent a truck at that location. No success. Went into 7850 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota FL, spoke to the representative face to face, and the representative apologized for my trouble, got me a truck right away, and I was on my way. I WILL NEVER EVER call that number again.

The guy who checked me back in outside was extremely rude, looked at me like I was an idiot when I followed the ARROW TO THE RETURN LANE, and he waved me to another lane. As I waited for him to further acknowledge me, I realized I had forgotten to get gas, so when he came over I told him I was going to do so and come right back and he said, good, I have to do an assessment anway, and he walked away. I drove off, put gas in the vehicle, came back, and pulled into the lane he had previously and rudely waved me toward, because God forbid I get more attitude. Oh my GOD, that was the wrong move. He jumped in front of me, made the STOP motion, the "NO NO you stupid little child" gesture, the backup motion, and pointed to the first lane he had originally waved me away from. All using very hard gestures, I was waiting for the middle finger, but that was inherent in his attitude. This man's behavior really pissed me off.

I pointed out to him that the sign was not placed correctly and I was following the arrows. He adjusted the sign. Then in a disrespectful and loud tone told me to go back the the truck cabin and leave the keys as I was trying to hand him the keys. Poor customer service and a bad experience for your location.

VINCENT TExtremely helpful lady who I rented from. Great attitudes and nice people. Did encounter an issue. When. The trailer was hooked up, the wiring was not properly secured and was dragging. In turn, it shorted out my tail lights, brake lights etc. drove to the drop off location, they could figure it out. Call roadside assistance and they could not resolve. Had to get a hotel room cause I could not finish my route. Drive the next day to my drop off and unloaded. No brakes lights etc. Once I unhooked everything and removed the trailer my vehicle started working g again. Anyway it cost me a $100 hotel room and another day on the job

TIMOTHY EI rented a open 5x9 trailer. The pick up went fine and the trailer was as expected but the drop off was a different story. The person who was unhooking the trailer asked me to turn on the flashers, then the right blinker, then the left blinker, the headlights. When I questioned why I needed to to all this since I was droping of the trailer he got very disrespectfull to me. Calling me "Boss" and insluting me since I was not very coopertive in him testing out the trailer. I informed him that it was not my job or my trucks job to verify the trailers lights. I have rented 3 trailers in the last month from Uhaul and was never requested to verfiy all the lights at a drop off, only at the pick up. I will not ever rent from this location because of this persons attitude toward me.

I tried to complete the reservation using both the computer and android application, with no success. I kept getting a message of an error but no indication of what the error was. The message seemed to say the cc code was missing or wrong but that wasn't the case as I tried two different cc with the same result. My reservation was a free first month. The online payment system doesn't seem to be able to deal with this. As a customer, I don't know what the problem was. I also talked with customer service. The lady said she called the store. In addition to the payment problem, I asked about the insurance requirement. I was told I didn't need to bring in any documentation yet when I was at the store & finalizing the process, I needed the insurance information. Noah (in the store) completed the paperwork. I apologize for him to receive the brunt of my frustration with the whole process and this whole experience was not what I expect from UHaul. The rating for "Was the staff friendly and helpful?" was not based on Noah but based on the whole process. The "Would you recommend this U-Haul storage facility to a friend?" is a maybe answer but wasn't a choice.

Nobody told me even once after speaking to three schedulers who were clearly aware of my drop off time for the truck that I would be using the same location for my free month of storage. I work night shift so im up usually from about 7pm until roughly 11am. So I was pretty annoyed to have a rental by the mile uhaul and show up to unload everything during my move only to find out I can't access my storage unit because it's midnight and my truck needs to be returned in two hours. So I had to find a storage unit that was available for move in that lat e at night and pay for it. Xpress storage was great, affordable, secure, and entirely self service.
