when I arrived to pick up everything was quick and ready, they pulled the truck up in front and off I went. When I returned there was only one associate and he was helping someone else, that was going to take some time and I really couldn't wait for a receipt, and that one associate was not pleasant. Like I was annoying him.

I was a bit disappointed to drive literally a total of 10 miles to have the gas light turn on. Customer service was okay not great the customer service rep who checked me out barely spoke and could not keep a dimple causual conversation. The owner ( ?) was on the phone and clearly not pleased with the way the conversation was going and it showed. I don’t need to know the business issues. I have rented from the other location, and it was awesome. This was okay.

Not only was I originally sent to the wrong location originally (which was sent to me via email instruction), but then my reservation could not be obtained and pulled up (this being the case at both locations). Luckily, arrangements could be made to fix the problem and the staff was very friendly as the problem got resolved. However, it was a let down to see how disorganized the UHaul company was and is. Needless to say, my time-sensitive day was off to a late start as I had to drive 20 minutes out of my way due to an error on UHaul’s part.

Every body was busy. but I wanted the trailer for 3 days.I asked twice about three days .I should have checked myself but I did not.My fault.I realized late last night what had happened.I went to the drop off office and told them I would be late .Lady said don,t worry.It cost me another day .It won,t Happen again.

The moment I pulled in he approached me and began to berate me about internal U-Haul policies that I had not followed because they are internal U-Haul policies and I was not aware of them. He quickly backed down but said that the people at the pickup location should have informed me. I informed him of the situation at the pickup location as well as at the 1-800 number where I was made to swear that I had an 8000 pound rated hitch to haul a 600-pound trailer. The above sentence is not a typo. It may have even been written on the contract that I needed to have an 8000 pound hitch again to haul a 600-pound trailer. ( Just for the record the truck I actually was using head a 7000 lb rated hitch and was quite capable of pulling any trailer that U-Haul rented as well as having the proper hookups so there was no saftey issue) Finally the man at the drop off location mumbled something about problems with corporate and said you're all checked in you can go. And quickly walked off I didn't see him again. On a side note I had to move the air hose used for cleaning trucks out of the way so I didn't damage it as no one offered or made any attempt to move it for me. This was as I was leaving and had already made contact with the employee.

When we rented asked if we had to return to certain place and were told no closest place. When arrived I was texted we had to return to certain place which was one hour away. I rented for my use not to be your delivery boy

The men at front desk need training in people skills. They obviously don’t like to work on Saturday. Not pleasant at all. Lady on telephone that reserved truck was very nice. Also, my bill was $64.00 and $68 was charged at my bank. Not acceptable policy.

My challenge was not with the location itself, but about dealing with U-Haul over the phone to make reservations. It took three phone calls to get what I needed. Twice I was on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to someone, and once I did speak to them, the reservation I received in the mail did not match what I requested. Once the size of the truck was not what I asked for and once the time was not what I asked for. I can understand you might not always have the exact truck at the exact time I need, but that could be told to me on the phone, not send to me several hours later in an email after I had already made plans.

Receiving U-Haul location declined to accept truck due to no lot room. Had to drop off truck at another location resulting in using more gas than intended and we had to pay extra!

This is not where our contract said to pick up. I had requested the south Sarasota location only to get there and hear that our equipment was all the way across town. We were late for an appointment due to showing up at south location and being told we had to go to north location to get the trailer.

The day before my rental, I was contacted that my pickup location had been changed to a less desirable location. Immediately, I DROVE to my preferred location and had my local Uhaul employee arrange a different pickup location, because the Uhaul "central phone system" is a complete waste of time....it is inept, and inefficient (as I had discovered on a Uhaul trailer rental the previous weekend). I had not used Uhaul in about one year, and the decline in customer service is astounding. Uhaul needs to EMPLOYEE DRIVERS to re-locate trailers, and NOT EXPECT the customer to do the re-arranging of trailers for their company. The previous week, they changed my "drop-off" to a location 10 miles from my earlier confirmed drop-off location DURING my trailer rental! I did not discover that fact until I tried to logon to begin the "return process". It is NOT POSSIBLE to call any UHAUL location directly now; all your calls get routed to this "central scheduling location"; sometimes the person who answers is helpful, sometimes your call gets "dropped". The Uhaul app and uhaul.com seem like good ideas, but you cannot change a pickup or dropoff location that way. Please add that ability, or make your phone system more efficient. On a final note, the trailer we rented had COMPLETELY WORN/BALD tires, and the paint on the trailer was so old it was peeling off. Thankfully, we made it to our destination, 3 hours away, but we weren't sure the tires would hold up. It was the worst trailer condition I have ever encountered from a Uhaul.

Stop confirming for a specific location online if the customers selection is not available there. It is only in your interest to change pickup location leaving the customer to pay extra miles/gas just to pick up and return.
