Yusuf GI feel the rates on a 5x5 is way to high @ $92.95 per month. Most likely, I will shop around if I need a unit again. I am now in Oklahoma and the same unit rents for $56.96 at U-Haul.

douglas mThe truck had a strong marijuana smell. I'd suggest having a comment section as a part of picking up the truck using the Mobile app. The truck was clean but it had the odor. I wouldn't want staff to think I was the one that left the smell.

KATELIA REvery week the rules change the employees claim. It is very frustrating. My phone does not have a good camera and the cashier made me attempt to use it 3x instead of like the previous 6 weeks of rentals when a different cashier used their phone to take a photo of my driver's license. Then they called two of my contacts to make sure that I did not steal the truck, which was insulting. I have spent thousands of dollars renting with uhaul over the past few months.
KENNETH CIt is COMPLETE B.S. to require me to provide a second contact and for that contact to be called before the rental could be authorized. I have used U-Haul many times over the past 40 years and have NEVER been required to provide this information. Why not put a big sign over the counter "WE DON'T TRUST YOU SO YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE MOMMY CONTACT US BEFORE WE CAN RENT YOU A TRAILER." In addition, I made a reservation at the recommended pick-up location, and that location was closed for the day when I showed up to get my trailer. I was redirected to this location where I have rented before. Then I experienced the "call a second person" requirement...it was not a happy rental.

Elias TI rented two trucks with two furniture Dollie’s and two hand trucks. First time I got no furniture Dollie’s so was given an appliance hand truck which didn’t fit my needs for the same price. The service is horrible!! The following week I finished moving and once again ordered two furniture Dollie’s and two hand trucks and got neither!! Not one!! I’m not recommending this store for their lack of professionalism and selling Dollie’s that are already reserved with credit cards by other customers.

Just have my morning meeting before opening up how many trucks we have what can we take and what we can’t take one minute you can say we taking cash then the next minute we’re not taking cash I had a bad experience and I reach y’all but low level because y’all come to better as people spend their money and contribute to y’all business communication is the key

NELSON VThe staff in store was mostly friendly and helpful. We did un hitch the trailer and drop off without any help, in the rain. Also, I had a couple difficult phone calls with this location the week before. I tried to obtain a refund for a lock I never received and haven't seen that yet either.
Jordan SEvery single time I rent from that location the fuel levels are always wrong I even take a picture and put it on the mobile app like you request and even though I do all that I still get charged for extra fuel that's not right to begin with every single time if you look back at my account you guys have to credit me every single time I rent it is ridiculous and then I have to wait 5 or 6 days for somebody to call me back and then I have to wait five or six days to get my money back you know I should open up another truck rental place and I'd put you guys out of business because your customer service is terrible you guys hire you don't pay any money to your people employees so none of them care nobody that location every time you walk in there it looks like they don't want to be there it's awful.

They were there to help me through the rough times with my rent with the storage incredible group of people. I highly recommend anyone. That's looking for a storage unit to definitely go to the one here in Tampa off of North Florida Avenue and Boganvilla... wonderful staff....

The bathroom was dirty and never had toilet paper or paper towels, I’m sure it was because of the homeless. When I was moving out I met Donna who was extremely rude and terribly unfriendly. Other than all of that the unit was clean just not safe.

I went to the office to explain that we tried both cards and that the panel "sounded" like it worked but the gate wouldn't open and that I thought it was a problem with the gate. The woman I spoke with was only half listening as she was busy watching someone on her phone. Her solution was to issue me two new cards. As expected, those cards also did not work. I went back to the office. This time speaking to a different woman, who after having to explain my situation to twice, went it to the "entrance" gate and said "the gate works!". I had to tell her AGAIN that it was the exit gate that was the problem. She then went inside and used the computer to open the gate. This was very frustrating! I really hope the EXIT gate issue gets fixed. Thank you! This was not a good first impression.

It still didn’t work until finally the young lady gave me her own code so I could actually use it to get in I would call the office I Was always referred to customer service. The entry security card made you feel safe. I had an item that was not manageable to unload without the help of a handtruck device, and they loaned me one to unload that item. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

When I asked Will why the $5 upcharge, he asked the manager. I was told because the unit I have is 9 feet high, and others are 5 less due to their heights. That is a classic bait and switch tactic. The sign should show exact sizes for the exact amounts.

I had to go through Uhaul.com which was a nightmare. Dayna then calls me from her personal phone, after hours to assist in my password not working. After my long journey from Atlanta, it was a relief to know Uhaul has AMAZING workers like Dayna! Thank you again Dayna!

Rochelle M | Overall ExperienceEvery time I need to speak to somebody about my storage unit they could never pull up the m25 unit no matter what we did but every month I had to make that payment and got the late fees if I didn't have it in by the 17th. Even the very next day after moving out and I went to go turn in the truck that I rented they still cannot find my information that I moved out of the unit m25. Then on the day we did rent the truck which was the 16th the young man was in the office by himself trying to handle at least 12 customers at 4:53 pm.But I feel like because everything was a rush situation he didn't understand I was looking for a one-way versus having to drop it back off in Tampa. Then after realizing he gave me the one way he said he had absolutely no one way rentals at this location even in bigger trucks but I just feel like he was just trying to rush really quickly so that he can handle the other customers in the building.

The unit is listed as 9' high, but I don't have use of 9' due to pipes and a red line on the wall as a warning, that should be provided before renting the unit. 2. There are not enough carts in case multiple people are there loading/unloading. I went there to unload and a group had both carts, leaving nothing for anyone else. 3. People leave carts wherever they please, so they are not always in the front.

No one would come over to the unit and help me. One month after I moved in I got a email saying I had the inappropriate lock I was locked out of my storage unit. And I just recently got another email telling them it's urgent I need to contact them they didn't like the way I locked my unit. Will never rent from U-Haul truck or a storage unit again

When they finally came back up I was informed by the shift manager, there were no storage units available. I attempted to contact the store manager, but had no response. I next tried to contacted the GM from my cell a couple times to hopefully have the issue resolved, but no luck. I next attempted to call the GM from the store phone and she answered. I explained to her my situation, and she informed me she would make a call to the manager on shift, but never did. The GM was no help at all and never contacted me back to give me an update. Luckily one of the gentleman at the store noticed how frustrated I was because I was waiting for an hour for the computers to come back up and to then be informed there was no storage available. I also had a trailer to return and limited time and he luckily found me another storage unit. This was by far the worst UHAUL experience yet. Only good news was the gentleman on shift came through in the end!!!

However, when I arrived for my check-in I was told the storage unit I booked wasn’t available. The unit I was given in replacement was smaller then I booked. At the end of the day I was still able to fit my things miraculously. The store was able to rectify the situation at the end of the day as well. The associates at this location were super understanding and helpful but the process could of been smoother.

I made a reservation on line for the biggest storage unit and when I got there the storage unit I reserved was already occupied. This caused me to have to get a smaller unit which makes my life more hectic than it already is, due to having to pull everything out each time I want something out of the unit. Not only that every time I book something with Uhaul the name that shows up on my reservation which is not my name but it is all my information every time the staff has to go in and fix it so it can reflect my name. It would seem as though it could be permanently fixed by now but it is not.

When I tried to leave my gate code didn't work. When I finally got out of the gate and arrived at the next facility, my coffee didn't work to get into the facility. By this time the physical office had closed, so I was forced to keep the Uhaul over night because I did not have access to a storage unit.

But the representative I worked with to check in was a bit rude when I explained that I already had a disk lock and did not need to purchase one. Additionally I was a bit confused with the insurance. I added it on for my first month and asked if I could take it off for the second to save a bit of money since for the second "month" as I will only be in the unit for three additional days. At this point I was told the insurance was mandatory even though it is billed as optional when I selected the unit online. It's completely fine if I need to have the insurance I was just a bit confused as that was the first time I heard it referred to as required.

And then when I was I think 6 days late moving out they tried to charge me for an entire month. Then Katrina told me to talk to Marcus to settle it , he gave me a price of half a month , a week more than I used , and then they sent me a bill for another half month even after I moved out a week before the half month I paid for . My worst experience with U Haul in over 50 years of dealing with them .
