This was so absurd and ridiculous and to make it worse, as I was explaining to him, he became so rude and hang up the call on me. I find this to be a very strange and frustrating experience, I have been their customer for several years only to be treated with so much disrespect in the end.

Justin PReplace the bulbs in the unit…we were handed a box of bulbs for the units to do ourselves. We had a ladder but, did not have pliers to remove the remaining broken bulb out of the socket. And we were a little busy unloading the truck and did not want to block the road because there is trucks parked all along the storage units so no other cars can pass if someone is unloading.

I had a problem with the app. Had to call customer service who tried to help me but the app wouldn't work. I finished entering all the information and figured it would give me the combination to the lock. Didn't happen. NOT happy. Wasted an hour of my time with the stupid app. Fix the app or get employees to be at the locations. Customer service moved my information to the 7052 location. Took five minutes to get the truck with the person there. Your people are great but your app sucks.

The second U-Haul call center rep said they fixed it and I'd have a 20' truck waiting for me, but also didn't do the reservation correctly. There was no 20' truck, only a 26' truck and none of the truck reservations showed on the app or website.

Ronald T | First ImpressionsThe truck was old and had a lot of problems when i rented the truck the gas was supposed to be on 1/4 it was lessser then that I took a picture so I still put gas in it just to try to go pick up my furniture I couldn’t pick up it because the truck acted like it was about to cut off and the truck was making alot of noises and wouldn’t couldn’t go over a certain miles so I tryed calling uhaul many of times I couldn’t get anyone to answer so I brought the truck back and they wasn’t any help no concern nothing when I told her she even stated she didn’t know customer service number !!!!!!!! She didn’t try to accommodate us on nothing she didn’t CARE!!!!!!!!!!

emmanuel rThe biggest issue we had was the U-Haul app when trying to pick up the van after hours. It's really not very user friendly and doesn't actually work (couldn't pick up my location, the camera wouldn't take a picture, etc.). I was on the phone with your help desk (the lady there - I wish I had her name - was great!) and we had to go into your website on my phone browser to get it to work. That took quite a long time and we wasted probably at least 45 minutes and maybe an hour with that. We also had problems opening the lock where the keys were stored - obviously the locks are outside and the dials "sticky" with their exposure to weather so we had trouble getting it open - we could have also used maybe a small sign indicating that we really needed to press very hard on the latch to get the lock to open, but that's more a user error than a problem with the lock. Maybe a little WD-40 on the dials to loosen them up so they will rotate and line up more easily. The return during office hours was much easier and the person checking us in was very friendly.
Eugene SPlease train your staff on the use of online check in. I was delayed 50 minutes as I was told I can't use a debit card. My debit card is a Visa and when it isn't used as a debit in other businesses it is run as a credit card. I don't carry any other card on me. The clerk asked a customer to help me check in because she said she is not familiar with online services. Secondarily, the WiFi at the facility was not working in the evening so I could not properly turn in my truck.

The only two things that I noticed, but didn’t have a problem with(but others might) is a unit where someone was living in with the unit door about 2 feet from the ground and a black truck parked about a foot away from the door blocking or hiding there presence. Lastly I noticed cars waiting for the gate to open to come in and to get out after hours. This can only mean one thing. Again it didn’t bother me but I’d want to know if I owned the property. felix g | Overall ExperienceI secured a storage unit and it was actually a covered parking spot. The agent on site was so helpful by transferring the money over to a climate controlled storage unit. It took less than five minutes. She was pleasant and helped me to be at ease. During the move in; I had to use the restroom and it was so inconvenient to try to move the truck or even walk. One of your agents was riding by on a golf cart and I asked her if she would ride me up to the restroom. She was so humble and polite and offered to wait on me. I told her it wouldn’t be a problem walking back. There is a special something about the property that I have my storage unit at. All the staff there is such a blessing. My family and I had been evicted. You guys eased the stress and truly made me feel like I was amongst family. So thank you and thank you.

I saw the cameras that keeps constant eyes on the area and that was nice. But the vehicle parked around for storage should have some pressure washing on them. I have not moved in yet because of storms currently, but will soon.

I rented my unit on the Uhaul app and it initially sent me to the incorrect address on 103rd st. They were very helpful, their facility clean and uncluttered. Had they had the size unit I needed I would have stayed there. They directed me to the to the correct address, I arrived and they were closed. One is open until 7:00 pm, one until 5:30 pm.

The representative stated that it was for a cleaning fee but the email stated that it was for rent, in which I had already moved out. Also, Uhaul reps are very hard to get on the phone.

The woman working the desk informed me that her manager down the street was sending people to them and giving units that were already booked. She tried to find me another unit that matched the one I had reserved, however there weren’t any available. Since I had to return my U-Haul to another location, I wound up having no choice but to take a larger unit that isn’t climate controlled for more money (which they wouldn’t price match when I asked). I will be looking for another storage facility IMMEDIATELY to move my items too.

Coming into Jacksonville six years ago, I found this facility in a very convenient place and with great owner/manager couple and best customer service in the world. I got to know them by name and they knew me by name. They related to you as family, not just as a customer and needy traveler. At ownership change, these new owners and management team have maintained the same congenial atmosphere of service. The facility is clean, all around. You can put a matrass "down on their premises and sleep safe and neat!" That's how neat and well organized they are here with everything....
