If you change the pickup location without the customer’s request, then you shouldn’t add extra charges. The staff were accommodating and helpful, but the extra charge was stressful and annoying.
Dominique WI did have trouble when I went to release the straps on the car transport. I do know the the trouble was with the equipment or the operator!

RAYMOND AThe 15ft truck I had originally rented had broken down and I was sent to this location to trade it out. I was told by customer service reps there was a 15ft truck here and there was not (not a huge issue as things change). But I then had to drive to a location maybe 5-10 minutes away that had a 15ft truck and bring it back to this location to transload my belongings. The reps at this location were not the most helpful although I don't blame them as I was crying a lot because this was all so stressful to deal with. I would not recommend any U-Haul locations or services to anyone I know after how I was treated and neglected by their staff.

Deanna KHave more staff. Both times I was in if you get a phone call and several folks in the store, its overwhelming for the staff to provide excellent customer service. One call sat on hold for over 20mins while I was there. Staff is great, but need more at this location - very busy. Should have (2) reps up front min at all times managing in person and someone else handling phones. Multitasking is not efficient.
KENNETH HI will never go to this U-Haul storage location ever again I will never use U-Haul again. My account was charged the $190 monthly fee it came out of auto pay and I forgot to let the staff know I had moved all of my things out on the 31st admittedly there was trash left in my unit but the manager was nice enough to refund me because obviously I wasn't using the unit and none of my things were actually in it. However, Her name is Kaylei, she is the store manager she told me that she refunded the 190 and it would take a few days to clear in the bank as these things usually do I did not pay too much attention to that bank account because I never use it it is just somewhere where I have extra funds later in the day I realized my account was being declined U-Haul had charged another $190.02. I called the location with Miss Kaylee as her manager I also called the 1-800 number and everyone is telling me that there is nothing in their system saying that I was double charged I called my bank and I can clearly see in my account that I was this is almost $400. It is my honest belief that somehow the staff at this location are committing fraud I would like to be contacted by an upper member of management I can clearly show you the charges in my account and I can also show you how one of the charges had to be done in a store using my card not through an automatic auto pay. This is not the first time something like this has happened when I first moved in my first month was supposed to be free and yet I was charged $190 that was supposed to be free I was never refunded that money we just said okay we'll apply it to the next month that never happened either I let the matter drop because I had so much going on this is ridiculous and unacceptable that this much money can be taken out of someone's account and I've spoken to other people and have had similar things like this happen at this location.

Mark CThe process for renting a trailer was very good I had to wait very long for someone to come to back of building to unhook trailer I finally out of frustration unhooked it myself because i had to get going Then at later on i got a call wanting to know if i was planning on returning the trailer which i responded by saying i unhooked it myself So i guess nobody was going to come back in the first place I will still rent from them but that was not a good experience
RONALD BI will use the new location next time at 1439 blanding for U-Haul hopefully they are better it just seemed like in the morning no one knew what they were doing at this location (701 blanding) the employees in the evening were much better upon return

Never rented before and did a self-pickup not realizing that I’d need contact info, to upload pictures etc. Things I could’ve done the night before to make renting smoother but I had no idea.

This should not inconvenience customers we pay our storage every month and I had that problem yesterday cleaning out my storage was waxing and then they tried to block off second floor. How in the world were able to remove our things Also, when there is a truck, a U-Haul truck blocking the area where people can unload and pick up it should be moved right away. That’s the only problem that I have with that facility parking was horrible and also when I rented a dolly, I never did receive it, and it was put extra extra extra on the people who are moving my furniture y’all need to come up with a better system.

GARY SExplaining exit route for rentals. Rental lot seems set up for drivers that are not too use to driving big vehicles to make mistakes before even leaving the lot.
JULIAN CI had 2 storage units full on the 2nd floor and needed to move across town. They didn’t break anything and had it all moved in my house within 5 hours. Will def recommend and use again

Casmira HIt was clean, sometimes way too hot and would be sweating profusely, though it said climate controlled. The light in the back corner, which seems to be the only one that did it, would shut off after a few minutes and I'd have to send one of my kids down the hall to activate it again, that was very annoying to do every few minutes, and sit in the dark doing nothing at that time until the light went back on again. Also, the price is way overpriced, there are several others in the area that are half the price, and when I called to say this, I was basically told deal with it or move out. I ended up staying, but only because I knew I was moving in the next few months and didn't want to move my stuff twice, otherwise if I wasn't going to be moving, I would have switched that day to another storage facility. I'll give that it was clean, and didn't see pests.

I called the U-Haul store Saturday, Nov 30th as soon as I started receiving emails and explained they have an incorrect email address. Person on the phone originally stated the do not have a customer named Barbara. I pushed the issue giving exact details of the receiver, 4 wire flat, and 5x8 trailer order. Guy then said we do have that client and would remove my email yet today I receive another email to rate my experience.

While in there i saw plenty of smaller units that were not occupied. Wanted to move out on June 1st and called before my rent was due and explained that i was signing papers for my new home on the 29th of May and guy stated he would leave a note on my account so i did not have to pay and would be able to move out on the 1st. Went in on the 1st to move out and was told i had to pay for another month to gain access to my unit to move out even though it would have been emptied. Was told nothing was able to be done about it. I do not feel that that was right to have an empty unit for another month. I was told it would be ok but then was told it was not the day of move out. I do not know how it is being ran like that but it is not right at all. Seems like it was only about the money was all. I had roaches in my unit every time i went into it. Spiders. And other bugs. I was not pleased with my time there at all. Then got told when i wanted to rent a truck for one way trip to my new home that it would cost more than a round trip. How??? Even with it being in the same town and down the road. Not right. I can go on and on but that is just the begining.

At move in they had me wait 1.5 hrs and call the customer service to clear myself for move in because someone at the address I gave them owed a bill that wasn't me or anything to do with me. The man on the phone even said they could have skipped that and not inconvenienced me. While waiting I apparently parked the loaded uhaul in an employee's' way. That employee came in talking crap (not professional crap either)about the person that parked the truck there. I then asked where he wanted me to park it and he rudely said IDK ask her. Then the manager Kaylie told me that my truck rental didn't qualify me for a free month storage because it wasn't a one way move and I was dropping the truck at the place I picked it up from. That was a lie, I was offered a free month with my truck rental the other day at another location, which I used to move out of this storage with. Will not use this location ever again. employees only act as well as their managers act. the whole location is rotting under this manager. I do think with the $ i paid I should not have had to move out with the building being 85 degrees. We pay for climate control for a reason.

For all the problems we where having Christian made our day better.

I rented it on a Wednesday, found out Thursday evening I wouldn’t need it. I also left to go out of town that Thursday evening and didn’t get back until late Monday night. I never used the Unit AT ALL. All I did was place the lock on the unit as the staff member advised i do. I returned to the office that Tuesday morning (just 6 days later) to cancel the rental. But was NOT given any refund for the rental I wound up not needing or even using. I want expecting a full refund, but to have to pay for an entire month and only technically have the rental space for 6 days is unfair in my opinion.

This was not available when we arrived after moving 8 hour so we were left with having to take a non climate controlled unit. the person who checked us in at the time stated that it would be fine-our stuff wouldn't be bothered by the lack of climate control ect.. to be honest. The fact that this part of our reservation wasn't honored was a big part of the rating. Unfortunately, there was an issue with our items and with the price increase since we started renting, it made sense to find a unit elsewhere. I would not recommend this location though largely due to the fact that it is a giant pain to try and get in and out of that lot. Move out day there was a family blocking one of two exits the entire day and made getting in and out very challenging.

Not even sure this is legal. Was accused of cutting my lock off my unit in broad daylight because I misplaced the key after I was instructed by another staff member to do so since it was my responsibility. Very poor management at this location. All staff needs to attend a people skills class in order to know how to speak to and treat customers.

I responded and told her that I too had a long day and that I packed up and entire apartment with two kids by myself and that I needed to get my storage unit because I have to return the truck at 11pm. She stated that I came in right before they were about to close and they are staying past the time for closing to help me. I advised her that I came in before 7pm so she’s obligated to help me. Coming from a customer service background, I would never make a PAYING customer feel as if they are inconveniencing me, when it is my job to help.

I have reached out to the store Manager and also spoke with Customer Service, but I have not received any correspondence from the Manager.

And that is totally incorrect that I had to get rid of a lot of my furniture that I will now have to rebuy when I get my new place cause I could not fit it all in there and when I was doing it all on line and I rented a 15’ truck which was plenty big it would not let me choose a bigger unit that if I would have had a bigger unit I wouldn’t have had to get rid of my living room tables not would I have had to get rid of my daughters complete bedroom furniture and my bedroom furniture. So really in the long run it’s going to cost me $1000’s of dollars to replace that furniture cause your site wouldn’t allow me to pick a different storage size. And my daughter’s furniture wasn’t even 6 months old and I had to just give it away. SMH…… so I would recommend uhaul storage but would tell them to make sure that they choose the size they need so they don’t loose thousands of dollars worth of furniture. And also in a climate controlled facility the a/c should keep it cold not for it to be hot and stuffy in there to where it’s actually cooler outside and I live in Florida
