You might consider adding additional staff. Your current staff is giving 110% - they do a fantastic job. Even so, they can only do so much and with the volume of business at this location, additional staffing would improve the customer experience. I found your staff to be friendly, competent, polite and efficient when picking up and returning equipment.

Steven was very professional, helpful and friendly. When we walked in, he was with another customer and took a moment to tell us that he would be with us as soon as he was done with the other customer. He said he was the only one there and if another CSR came in, they would be glad to assist if he wasn't done yet. No problem. Then the other CSR came in. His name was Tray, I think. When he walked to the register in front of us, we assumed he was clocking in and about to help us. I looked at him, he looked at me and I said, "Hello, how are you?" He did not respond and never acknowledged my husband and me after making direct eye contact. My husband ask if he responded and I said no. He said, then we'll wait on the other guy. And that's what we did. My husband mentioned to Steven that Tray was very rude to me and did not need to be in customer service if he didn't like greeting guests. Steven apologized and immediately assisted as he had just finished with the other customer. Maybe Tray should be doing something that doesn't involved customer service. It is NOT his forte.

Showed up to return. A gentleman started doing the return on his phone then said he would be right back. I was left outside for approximately 15 minutes in the heat. The gentleman never came back outside, so I returned the trailer with the app and left the trailer in a parking spot. I went inside after doing the return before leaving the trailer only to find the lady behind the counter not doing anything at all, and the man who was supposed to be helping me with his feet kicked up on the counter talking on the phone. Clearly I was not a priority as a customer and was left mid transaction for a cooler spot inside. Would not recommend and will never go back. Would like to see places like this uhaul close. Luckily I was able to get through the app return and drop the trailer myself. I would not recommend this location to anyone!

This location was amazing and saved me after my original location (on Cobbs ford road) pretty much told me to take a hike and that what I had reserved was not there and there was nothing more than could do for me. Everyone I have encountered at the S. Memorial location has been kind, understanding, and beyond helpful.

Very stressful using Uhaul. The reservation was made for a local pickup of the truck. Everything was lined up, paid helpers included. The day before the reservation a email was sent telling me to pick up the truck at a different location still nearby. I go to that location using the app to pick up the truck and it says to call a Uhaul representative. The store doesn't open for an hour, I'm told to wait that hour all the while paying my helpers as they sip coffee waiting in the truck that was promised. Have breakfast, return , still nobody around and it's 10 after the hour now. So I call Uhaul and explain. They tell me there isn't a truck available now! Great more stress to a already stressful day. Then I'm told , yes they have a larger truck ten miles away. Got the truck finally 26' when I had a 15' truck reservation. So I lost cash as I had to pay the workers two hours for drinking my coffee. Boy did I miss that lost two hours at the end of the day. Plus added fuel costs with the huge truck. When it's returned I'm off by 3 gallons and charged more money. If your looking for a stressful free move I'd suggest a different company. They nearly had me in a panic attack with all the wasted time and money.

I can’t imagine you could make it better. The lady that checked me in was sweet, helpful, efficient and knew exactly what she was doing. The young man who was there when we returned the equipment was just as terrific. They both made things so easy for us and we could not have had a better experience.

My only real gripe with this location is that nobody had any devices I could use to see why my vehicle's lights wouldn't work with the hitch. I had to drive around for three hours getting told by every auto parts store and GM dealer in the area that they couldn't help me before I went to a different U-Haul location out of desperation and they were able to help me. Apart from that, the service at this location was top-notch. Starla and her colleague were incredibly kind and patient, and the gentleman on Saturday afternoon was also an absolute delight. They all deserve to be paid much, much more.

My father died. I was a long way from my parents' home when I got the call. When I was able to take off from my job to drive there, the funeral was scheduled for 1pm the next day. My car broke down just after I left my home to drive to the funeral. I had it towed to a local shop I had not used before. I still was almost 800 miles to the funeral location. I had around 18 hours to get there. None of the car rental agencies had any cars available. We called Enterprise, Avis Budget, and all other car rental companies within several miles of our location. No car rental company had any cars available. I called a used car dealer, but his cheapest car cost $5,900 (which I have in my bank) but he wanted cash on the barrelhead, and even then no insurance or registration was available quickly. I was about to miss my Dad's funeral. Then somebody suggested Uhaul. We got a ride to the nearest Uhaul dealer, which was closeby, and Steven had us out the door and rolling again in a new 15 foot Ford Uhaul truck in less than twenty minutes. I was there early at my father's funeral. Before it started. I was a pallbearer. That Ford Uhaul was FAST! For more than 700 miles, a lot of people thought that they could pass a Uhaul truck and so they got their cars out into the left lane tried to pass me and then they learned that they couldn't pass a Uhaul truck after all! I didn't manage to find out how fast it will go (because the acceleration never did plateau and level off), but it will go faster than any speed limit in the United States, even driving up steep hills. I learned that Uhaul has vehicles available quickly when car rental companies fail you. And they put you in a vehicle quickly, within a few minutes of your arrival there, with full coverage insurance. And there is plenty of space in the back for your luggage. And that vehicle is not slow.

Communication was very poor while there computers was down inside of the store. The associates allowed customers to wait over thirty minutes before sharing that information with us then only stated, "I can not give you a U-haul. You will need to get one from a different location." After going to my car to call the movers and try to locate a U-haul on my own, another waiting customer came to tell me if I had cash I could rent a U-haul. Again, the process was a bit much. The actual U-haul associates did not give any verbiage about the rental in regard to it's location on the property or what to do after she gave me the key. She told me the price, gave me the key and pointed in a direction of where the rental may be. It was the most frustrating process I have experienced and I have rented more than once from U-haul. When I finally located the truck across the street, it had a low tire and they told me to use road side assistance because I had been out the office too long anything could have happened. It was quite frustrating.

Scheduling was not what I thought it should be. I was confirmed for a pickup at a specific time only to be notified I had to go to a different location at a different time. When scheduling a move. Punctuality is important.

For starters, I wasn’t told I needed to return the truck on a full tank. It was never mentioned when he asked how many miles my trip would be. So I was under the impression the additional cost of mileage was for the gas used. It was never mentioned, that was my first time renting a uHaul truck. Secondly, I rented an equipment dolly that the location didn’t carry. They gave me a smaller dolly that I was unable to use because it wasn’t equipped for the job. However, I mentioned it to the salesman yet, I was still charged.

I reserved a Moving Vam online at which is CLEARLY STATES Form of payments excepted is MAJOR credit card or debit card with the logo of Mastercard or Visa and even books under my debit card bit getting to pickup location oh NOW they don't except debit card (which is Visa Logo and from actual fdic bank- but can reserve on it) but I also get month free of STORAGE UNIT (which u get if you book-reserve a uhaul- technically I did {they canceled not me} but Guy says that's for only when u reserve online) again I DID. TELLS ME I don't have a unit, but the APP showed my ACTUVE RENTALS IS being storage unit! I canceled it based on I was told, and which is ALL WRONG AND REALLY NEEDED THAT UNIT SO NOW IF MY BELONGINGS ARE TAKEN FROM WERE IVE BEEN FORCED TO CHOOSE, IT UHAULS AT PRATTVILLE LOCATIONS FAULT. More specially, Steven, was a huge help when I first came to town. He went above and beyond the call of duty to stay late, to help me with securing my moving van, car, and providing additional storage options with an climatized unit. Everything was great except price. Even though we had I free month rental and lock included we found a less expensive solution in Millbrook. A 10x20 room for $95.00 and insurance was not required. If something happened and our stored items were destroyed we could easily have replaced. We preferred a larger room with a no insurance option.

My one and only complaint is that they do not pro-rate the fees if you empty the unit before your due date. The monthly fee is still in effect,so if you pay for a month,empty it after 3 weeks,you will not get any money back. Other than that it was a very good experience.

I didn't appreciate being sent harassing letters when I fell behind on paying my storage. You guys acted as if I wasn't going to pay it out of my next check. The ridiculous late fee was not necessary either. You guys make it almost impossible to pay your storage bill with adding expensive late fees to an already expensive storage fee.

Good morning this is Ed Wilson and I’ve been a loyal customer. That truck should’ve been swapped out yesterday it was the most dangerous Uhaul driving experience I had for three hours last night. That truck shakes horribly and the shocks causes it to lean horribly while traveling. I need someone to discount something because I should have been swapped out of that truck. I don’t want to leave a bad review but that was a bad experience that could’ve been avoided by swapping me after I brought to y’all attention about the check engine light. Brakes was constantly leaking air when applying them. Please refund a discount amount. Edward Wilson

My move ended up being a nightmare. First uhaul truck reserved online and never received confirmation. Called several times no answer so I contacted uhaul national hotline they swapped reservation to the store at 1221 memorial. I called they answered and confirmed everything was ready. I showed up at 7am Friday morning and the truck was ready to go. Drove 500 mile round trip got back home and the storage build at Ark climate control storage had someone’ else’s lock on it. I had been paying for it for 3 months but hadn’t moved yet. It was late at night and I called the emergency number and the owner said there’s nothing I can do I will call you Monday. I called Ms Boggs that morning and she was Ann absolute Angel. She set me up with a storage unit that was perfect and her and her brother helped me unload the truck. I have never received better service from any business than I received yesterday. They were true heroes. Wish I could give 10 stars.

There are many storage places closer than the storage we had. We drive 70 miles to the storage. The place is a uhaul dealer and I was told if I switch my drop off site I would be charged so I spent way more money than I had just to use a storage and return my truck and trailer. Then the drop off site was extremely hard to find even with GPS. IT SUCKED……PERIOD

Uhaul storage gave me a secured feeling that my "whole life" property was like in Fort Knox. The first time l rented a unit, l failed to lock my unit correctly. Uhaul noticed this and called me personally. THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! Uhaul actually protects your personal items . Unlike other places that takes your rent and forget about it until rent is due again. They walk the grounds and actively take care of your worldly life in the the unit.

I have been with this facility long before U-Haul took over. When I started renting at this facility in 2010 I had two units with a maximum of 6 units at one time. U-Haul has made great improvements since taking over and has maintained the great overall service as when they took over. I was overseas working and every time I called or when I was home and came in they solved whatever was going on with my units. Every interaction with the U-Haul staff has been outstanding and met my expectations. The units are well maintained and the grounds are also very clean. Very professional staff and business!!!!!

I just disagree with the price increase for the unit, I am paying this for my daughter who along with my grandson were left homeless and jobless in May 2017. It is crucial to have all of their belongings in a clean safe place, life has been very stressful for both, and it means a lot to know that I have kept their material life secure. We had a few issues that should be addressed: 1) After we cleared the units, the staff never checked to verify, and I got a bill after we left. 2) We never received notification from U-Haul that they acknowledged our moving out. 3) I like the idea of a refund for moving out early, but I don't expect U-Haul to implement such measures. 4) The gate had unresolved issues and would not close completely.

My auto-charge card had expired 4 months ago and all transactions were successful through February. But for March the card was declined...rather call me or email about what happened the manager stuck a late fee on my account. It would have been much easier to exam the payment history to give me a heads-up rather than waste my -and the sweet lady who helped me— time. Your customer service stinks.

I fully recommend anyone looking for storage to use U-Haul in Prattville on Memorial Dr. From day one the staff was friendly and very helpful. The owner repeatedly put on lock on my unit, all because he mistook me for someone else. I have never been late on a payment, yet I got an email every week saying I was late. NEVER USE UHAUL AND NEVER TRUST ROBBIE DASSEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I traveled from Savannah Georgia several times on the weekends. While I was in town, I would go to access my storage. When I had problems with my card or security code for accessing the unit, I was told to wait until Monday for someone to reactivate those said items. Doing so was an inconvenience to me because I was only in town for the weekend and staying until Monday for a specific time caused a conflict with my schedule. When I would do as required of me I still would be met with the same obstacles as before. I eventually stop making payments and allowed my storage to be put up for auction. I believe that is a common theme with this specific storage unit company. They will not allow an individual to access their units, give the said individual the run around so they cannot close out the account the proper way. Instead they would mentally and physically drain a person to the point that they will give up and forfeit their unit so it can go up for auction.

I have been paying storage rental for Trailer for several months behind a gate. this past week at sometime it was stolen the manager Penny has a no give crap attitude about it and not much different from her higher ups. Supposed to be paying my tow bill cause it was recovered. But it's there negligence that it was stolen and should be held responsible. I would not recommend this place for anything

There was a smell in the facility that got into all of our clothing and furniture. The only way I was able to remove it was by washing everything, putting it in the cleaners or throwing it away. Even the hard surface furniture had the smell. I was extremely disappointed (6). (5) It appeared to be but I do not know what happened later that cause the poop smell. My complaint was sent to there insurance company but they denied it because we did not purchase the insurance coverage. We were asked if we had home coverage and we did on our old home at that time but when the house was sold (in North Carolina) the policy ended and it was four months before we moved into our new home. U-Haul Insurance coverage was never offered to us so we did not know we needed it or that it even existed. U-Haul should be liable for this damage because our items were suppose to be protected by them. This is U-haul facility so they should have control over the smells. Our cloths were packed in boxes and plastic bags and the smell went through both. Fred and Gloria Black

In July 17, my agreement was $35.95 per mo. Without any notification I was charged $45.95 per mo beginning in Apr 18. I inquired why the price increase, the manager was extremely rude in response.
