When I was cleaning out my storage unit there were mouse droppings and I had to throw blankets and stuffed animals out because it ate it.

Personnel and service above average. Equipment needs to be inspected thoroughly before you drive off. Tow dolly in Feb had road sand frozen in tiedown slide tracks. Req'd hammer & screwdriver to chip out to align w/wheel. Tiedown strap was cut so it was too short to reach rachet. Utility trailer in May had tiedown D rings jammed below floor ridge. Req'd pry bar(lug wrench) to pry loose to be able to hook tiedown straps. Informed Uhaul.

I rated the equipment poorly because there was no windshield wiper fluid. It was a day with mixed precipitation and plenty of stuff flying onto the windshield, but I couldn't do a thing about it. It wasn't dangerous, but it was frustrating.

Label gas type on vehicle, very simple to keep people from putting wrong fuel type in. Not a big issue at all but was surprised no label on vehicle at all on fuel type, called office to be sure. Had a very good experience renting vehicle, it was ready and warmed up when I picked it up. Quick check in and return, great job by employees! Good job U-HAUL!

Attendant at pick up location told me my rental would be pro-rated if I returned it before the due date. Attendant at drop off location told me that was not a thing Uhaul does. Pick up location also indicated the gas tank was full when it was actually at 3/4. When confronted with a picture she told me everything had to be done on my end via the website, which I did. Still, at drop off location I was initially going to be charged for 1/4 tank until arguing my case with picture evidence. Both attendants were courteous enough but someone doesn't understand their job.

When I returned the truck, it took without exaggeration, 20 minutes for the employee to finalize the 'return' in the computer and provide me with a receipt. She was the only employee on-site and it seemed as if she had never performed this task before. It was extremely frustrating at the end of an already very long, cold day.

I am not nichole and my card says that even. I would like my storage unit to be under my own name crystalean kilts i showed an id.. that makes me alittle uncomfortable. I only went to glens ralls and back and the tank was half full. I dont know why when we only went max 10 miles

This location for drop off was way out of our way. We stopped at a Uhaul location right off 87 but they told us to go further to drop off the trailer at another location. This location took us 45 minutes out of our way. Very inconvenient. We were not happy.

I was disappointed in the process of receiving the containers initially. I had originally reserved these 10/7 to be dropped off 11/22 and picked up 11/25. I received phone call 11/21 at 4pm that they would not be delivering them. I lived in an apartment I had to make arrangements prior with the landlord to have them on the property and my lease was up 11/30. They said they would be delivered 11/24 first thing in the morning, unfortunate as I had arranged help and took time off work that weekend. On 11/24 I received a call at 8:24am from a woman named Dominique. She said that the pods would be delivered between 8-4:30. I asked for a more specific time frame as I had only one day to pack the containers now, had to rearrange all my help, and I was told I would be the first delivery this day. She said she could not do this. My family member went to the local uhaul location to ask for help/compensation since I was supposed to receive them 2 days prior and they would not provide any delivery time frame. I stayed at the property awaiting the delivery. While my family member was there, that locations member was extremely kind and helpful. I then received a nasty phone call from Dominique claiming that my family was cursing out the store manager at that location and I was “more than welcome to cancel for a full refund.” I was on the phone with my family member at this time as well, there was no cursing. I asked Dominque to provide a timeframe once again, she continued to say “8-4:30”. It was about noon at this point so I told her that timeframe was irrelevant. Suddenly Dominque was able to give me a 30 minute timeframe, delivery drivers number, and tracking of the trucks route. The delivery driver was phenomenal, pick up went well. Delivery to final destination went well. A phone call was placed to speak to Dominique’s manager 11/25. We were told Alyssa would reach out within 72 hours. Never heard from them again.

I did get tripped up on my use of the 6x12 trailer where the back gate on the trailer was only 5' wide. This created a need to scramble and find another trailer. Note - the woman who was supporting that day was excellent. great customer service and the type of helpful attitude and behavior that you want to recognize.

They keys had been placed in the outside lock box but my info was not logged so I could not use the app to access the lock box.

Had a reservation through the u-haul app and tried to pick up the truck, thought it would be easier to pick up the truck without going inside boy was I wrong. After 15 min of taking pictures of myself and front and back of my license and giving them repeated information they already had on file from me reserving the truck 5 days earlier. Then they needed my wife’s info to verify I was who I said I was and they had to message here and then call her to verify I was in fact myself..after waiting over 10 mins I finally went inside to speed up the process which I would have to do to get the keys to the moving truck anyways..🤦🏼‍♂️ After inside we had to go through everything again. Finally after giving payment of my credit card I had already used to make My reservation I had to go back on the app the verify the correct truck number, plate number, the correct miles on the truck and the right amount of fuel on the truck as well as take pictures of every corner of the vehicle to verify if there was any damage. So basically I had to go out and do all the leg work to rent this darn van. Instead of an associate coming out to verify everything is correct. After doing all the work myself I get in the van and put the key in the ignition and it will not turn in the ignition to make the van start. Had to fight with it for 10-15min in order to get it to work. Noticed it was a cheap aftermarket ignition key and not a factory gm key. Finally get the key to turn and get the van started. I let the van warm up and turn the heat on while removing the giant card board sign in the windshield. The vans belt squeezed the entire time it was running and also the entire time I used it. Finally get the van home and backed up to my front steps to load in a bedroom set I was moving. Open the rear door and get inside and the smell took my breath away 🤢 The rear inside smelled like straight up chicken shit, like somebody had moved an entire barnyard and the smell only got worse through the day as the outside temperature would rise beating down on the van. Van drove decent however when you would hit a bump going down the road the van would bounce up and down like to shocks were all original and had over 100k miles on them like said van. As the day progressed the longer you drove the van the smell from the rear compartment would make its way up into the Cab, so we got to smell the pleasant aroma of chicken shit for a few hours on our trip through out the day. Every time we would shut the van off the steering wheel would lock very tightly in place and we would have to spend the next 10-15 minutes multiply times through out our day fumbling with the cheap key in the ignition trying to get the wheel unlocked and the key to fumble in the ignition. After several times of doing this we would just leave the van running as it was easier and took less time. After we were done with the van the next day I swept out the back and wiped everything Down inside to return the van way cleaner then we received it. Returning the van the next morning I told them about the shit smell in the back and the constant squeal from belt of the van and the key issue..all I got was sorry she’s an old girl that’s about to be retired since she’s got over 100k miles..Real nice not to even try and help me out at all..Van is about to be retired because it was old and tired but still good enough to charge me full price of $1.09 a mile and $19.95 for the day plus I added on the extra $15 for insurance but I would probably be doing u-haul a favor if I wrecked that old van so they could put her out of her misery and collect the insurance to buy nicer equipment. Over all not a good experience with u-haul. Young kids behind the counter who don’t really care or offer any kind resolution. U-haul likes to entice there customers with brand new vans and box trucks in there front line by the road for customers to come in and rent and then they bring them outback to the oldest beat up equipment that looks like it’s been through hell and back and have no problem charging them full price 🤦🏼‍♂️ I hope somebody higher up sees this review and offers better solutions to there customers

I can’t rave about how friendly, thoughtful and understanding the staff, team and management are at this U-Haul location. This should be U-Haul’s prime case study for highest quality service. They went above and beyond on numerous occasions. Made me feel like my belongings in my storage unit were safe and secure. Needless to say, I highly recommend using this location.

Staff always rude, Staff unhelpful and many times my unit was double locked when they received regular payments just because they did not remove the lock after 1 payment being late. Moved out recently and I had paid a full month and did not receive the remainder of the month back prorated which is insane with what you pay for these units. Would not recommend anyone use uhaul storage.

Only problem was that there was only one Employee working and after finishing the required paperwork and signing the contract and making payment, I had to wait more than 45 minutes to be shown to my 2 units since other customers arrived and needed help being processed. There should be more than one EE on site to take care of this issue.

Overall facility was well lit, but the sensor lights in the aisle with our unit were out, so it was a bit dark to see. The light did not work for the duration of our rental; the person who showed me the unit noticed when it was rented, but for the month we were there it was never fixed. the door was very hard to shut and lock. I have rented from you before with no issue. The employee had to try a few times himself to shut it. Inside the unit the wall had several very long screw points sticking into the unit, so you could not put boxes of clothing close to the walls or risk puncturing the boxes and damaging items. Also, it was very easy to bump into them and cut yourself. Building and unit were very clean and safe, but the other unit I had was much better.

We reserved a 25 ft truck for a 9 am pickup on 9/1. When we got there, there was no truck available. We were told to come back at noon, which we did, and there was only a 15 ft truck available. We had carefully laid out plans, had hired extra help, and ended up working and paying overtime on the Friday before a holiday weekend. Overall, other than the customer service rep being very nice, this was a terrible experience. We also had to rent another truck for Wednesday 9/6, which will cost us even more money.

I appreciated the warm indoor storage unit for moving during the winter months. It was well lit, clean & I felt safe every time. There are free rolling carts to use getting belongings from the car to the storage unit. I was able to come early in the mornings before work to move a little bit each day. Thank You.

Heather and Cassandra we’re absolutely excellent. It was a very stressful four days doing a power move across state. It was so nice having friendly smiling faces on my final destination end of the journey. They helped me out also by upgrading me to a larger unit as the one I originally had would definitely not fit my stuff. They did it so quick because they knew I had paid help coming in 10 minutes. Then they even came back and checked on me to see how I was doing.

Computers were not set up. Made a reservation for a 10x15 but because it was inside could not use it as I arrived late afternoon after driving 3.5 hours from CT. Inside storage was only available until 4pm so we had to use a 10x10 located outside and it rained most of the time we were unloading. Glen was very helpful but only could do what he could do. Was not happy with this but everything else was okay.
