I’m sure they felt overwhelmed but being rude to customers is never the way. The cherry on top is them raising the monthly rent for a facility that is usually never fully working.

JOSUE PThe security was questionable at this location. I have seen people access the loading area w their vehicles just to use the bathroom. The gate opens up to any vehicle. In those times that I have been physically parked inside the loading area, I’ve seen random cars pull in and park in the middle blocking the areas where the carts go. They literally are using the rest rooms. I also appreciate the availability of the back area but it feels unsafe. I’ve seen people fixing their cars back there too

Edison OIt's hard to find the office since the main office is close, and to get to the office there is no walking path you have to walk through drive way which is uncomfortable. The main office doesn't have a sign or where to go it was confusing. The customer service was great, the person that receive the truck was very nice and polite.

John CI reserved a 20-foot truck on Friday afternoon. I wanted to pick up the truck the next day (Saturday, March 8, 2025) at 5:30 AM. Before I completed making the reservation, I included a message to staff at that location asking them to ensure that the 20-footer was available for me to pick up at that time. When I arrived at the location the next morning, I was informed that staff had not taken the steps to ensure that the truck was ready. MARCO AIn general, the facility is kept in good shape and the staff is helpful. (one problem that persisted for a while was the elevator working intermittently). It has a good location and is very accessible. Rising prices are a bit of problem

Otherwise, everything else was excellent, clear explanations, and the information for storage and pricing. Overall everything else was excellent thank you. If needed, I’ll well rant again. The counter staff were discourteous and disengaged, showing frustration when customers experienced difficulty using their required self-check-in system. Customers should not be solely responsible for the check-in process—there should be an option for staff to handle it using company equipment. If self-check-in is mandatory, a discount should be offered as an incentive. I am a customer, not an employee of U-Haul. Additionally, the return process was disorganized and inefficient. My equipment was improperly checked in, leading to overcharges, and I was not credited for unused items I returned despite being assured I would be. Significant improvements are needed in both customer service and operational efficiency.
Hal FSimply atrocious. The rental process is just not working and customer experience is EXTREMELY LACKING! Whoever designed this new system needs to get FIRED! I went through the process for 1/2 hr. just to be told that I had to speak with a rep at the counter to confirm my information. The clerk was of no help at all. Good luck with the business.

It was quite easy but it was pouring rain 🌧 The equipment had a damaged wire and luckily i had mine with me ! One thing i noticed and wasn't told , when returning after hours, they make a wall with trucks to block the trailers ar for their safety and I hahad to drop the trailer on the closest spot possible

MOHAMED Aam a regular costumers but this Friday 02/14/25 took the Pickup back a day earlier it was a worker name Keith with a Nad attitude telling me that he's been observed me like spying on me cause supposedly I always check the rentals all the time I never seen him before he also was cursing at me and threatened me told me fuck you go to the office check your shit out really he's very dangerous you need to fire him ASAP he's on drugs smelling like a weed bomb please next time I rent there I dont want to check me in or out like I said I never had any problems with the other guys even they was complaining about him .

Upon arrival, I was told that reservations made online do not actually mean anything. It is good to know that U-Haul falsely reserves storage units for their customers. Will never recommend to anyone and will report U-Haul for falsely advertising reservation confirmations.

Norman M | Online Move InThe woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful on Sunday when we wanted to upgrade to a larger room. We had to come back Tuesday - we live one hour 40 minutes away, so it was very inconvenient. And to move rooms to a larger space, we had to get a higher floor, so needed to use the elevator; we had to come down to the office *every time we needed to get back to our original floor* to finish the move - they would not give us a code, take out license and nice us a code, do anything to make this process easier. And they were unfriendly and rude every time we came down to the office - must have been 10 times. It took hours and hours when it shouldn't have. Plus only one elevator works, for months now. We wanted a first floor space to avoid the elevators and to feel safer coming by myself, but the 8'x8' had a huge column in it, so not the full space - and you were still charging the full price. We also asked for a second 4'x8' space so we didn't have to move the entire 4'x8' into a new 8'x8', but you wouldn't give us the 8'x8' price, even though you first said you would. I cannot recommend this place. Please get better customer service.

Richard L | Online Move InTHERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING! This facility is well kept. However, the staff might be friendly one day, then incompetent and rude the next. Rarely does anyone "think outside the box," to figure out how they can effectively assist the customer. I reluctantly answered "yes" to question "was the staff helpful and friendly," because it's a hit or miss situation. Two examples: 1. I was given two 4x8 units in place of an "actual" 8x8 unit. I was told two 4x8's are the equivalent of an 8x8. Seriously?!! This was told to me upon arrival, after reserving the "8x8" online. Since I didn't have a choice I accepted what I was given. Months later... after emptying one of the 4×8 units, I wanted to cancel having to pay for it. I was told "you can't," because it makes up an 8x8 unit. Again, NEVER told this in advance, and telling a customer that they CAN'T do something in such a haphazard way, without first saying something like: "I'm not sure how to unlink one unit from another, because we view it as an 8x8...blah, blah, blah. The staff member never even considered reaching out to a supervisor to conveniently resolve the issue, which ended up being the case. 2. I decided to consolidate units. One from the 4th floor and another unit on the 6th floor, thus I rented an 8x12. In doing so, the manager literally told me that after "transferring" me into the 8x12, that I would have to ask a staff member for access each time I needed to get to the 4th floor. SERIOUSLY???!! I have to inconvenience myself in order to access the 4th floor, by constantly asking for access? Not only was this the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, but to not have a better solution to AVOID wasting my time, and having me run around like a chicken with my head cut-off, potentially having to wait on an available staff member was all a pathetic joke!! Fortunately, this scenario didn't happen. I was able to access both the 4th and 6th floor without assistance from the staff. I don't know why absurdity continues to occur at this location. Therefore, I sincerely dread having to interact with the office staff. All other workers are decent and willing to be of assistance. Although, I will admit that recently three office members have been friendly, helpful and pleasant, which was surprising and a huge relief! But, as soon as I'm able... the plan is to remove items and stop paying for storage, because I don't want to pay this company any more than I have to. And, to also avoid dealing with the office staff.

También errores cuando recibí el truck en cuanto a la gasolina afortunadamente tome un vídeo de la gasolina que recibí en el carro que rente , por que querían hacerme un cargo extra de 14 dólares por la gasolina .. si no hubiera tomado el vídeo me había hecho el cargo . Fue una mala experiencia..

She probably shouldn’t be allowed to interact with customers if i’m being honest - maybe she can deal with something behind the scenes. Overall, if I hadn’t had a reservation, I would’ve left. And will never come back or recommend this! The only positive was that the man who showed us to the storage unit was super pleasant and kind.

The best thing about it was the kindness, helpfulness, and knowledgeability of the staff. The big surprise was that the bathrooms were really clean! We aren't moving anything in for several weeks, so this is feedback only for reserving the space, not for the moving experience itself. I wasn't thrilled that the website implied that we could reserve a particular storage space ahead of time and then learned when we went in person that the particular space the website said we could give a start date for might not be available when we were actually ready to move. To make sure it would be, I rented it empty for 3 weeks to make sure I got it. I can understand that would be necessary, but it should be made clear on the website that if a room is reserved on the website for a future date the particular room may no longer be available. If you decided to give me those 3 weeks free in compensation for the misleading website information, I would not complain! Especially since the second part of our move will involve renting a UHaul truck from Bloomington MN, perhaps that would be a reasonable thing for you to do.

Keys were always with me to my space. My lock was clipped way before my arrival yesterday and was inside the unit. Artwork is missing, holiday decorations and tools. They changed my unit to a more expensive one, further away from the door, only for them to discover I was using the code on the wrong side of the building. Then finally going to the unit to discover it was locked, and had to wait in line again to get someone to go remove the lock. This took an hour of my day before I was actually able to unload my truck.

But I also rented a cargo van, and as a costumer/client, like most who enter your facilities, are rookies in renting vehicles. This is a concern/knowledge in order to maintaining repeat customers. Because certain steps and procedures must be explained in detail. I rented a vehicle that prior to handing a customer the vehicle keys was not inspected in front of the customer. Keys are being handed to a customer and the customer has to go to the lot and pick it up themselves without an employe physically taking the customer to the vehicle or retrieving it for them. Therefore the vehicle is not inspected for days maybe even weeks prior to obtaining it!!!

I made it clear (so I thought) to the staff member my concerns, my desires as this is my first time ever with a storage facility. Long story short, upon receiving my contract, the insurance I requested was not incorporated into my contract, although I did mention as well as fill out the form, that I desired insurance coverage. I also requested to not have a climate controlled unit and I was assigned one and then told I could not transfer until after I made the first payment. I had to go back, another time and have another staff member add my insurance coverage. Based off of that initial experience, I wouldn't have recommended this place to anyone. However, I've been a few times since that initial experience. I will say based off of the service I received on this date 11/12, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The late afternoon, evening staff seem to be much more attentive, and pleasant.

During summer, the floors become extremely hot with no air circulation or cooling making it a hazard when moving items in or out of the facility. No consistency in staff behavior, Some are excellent while others might need coaching and there is no visible management leadership throughout the facility. Compared to Cubesmart, I rather pay for limited access to a clean, cooled and well managed facility than to pay U-Haul for inconsistent access, poor service and no management accountability.

I specifically asked for a front unit before I made my online reservation and I was told "yes" the the 4th floor 8x8x8 was in the front building. I asked the same question when I arrived the next day to sign the paperwork. I was again told "yes" but then I was shown the unit in the back building. Going over the hump between buildings causes items to fall off a card and makes moving much more difficult and really unacceptable. I declined that unit and was then given #6000 which I did not inspect. I regret that. That unit had absolutely no light. It is a second rate unit and makes usage much more difficult. I had a helper running a meter at $70 per hour so I gave up and just moved in. This is what I call third rate service. I have rented vans from you and storage units from you and I expect better. You failed me this time. I regret being in your facility. I will not recommend you to others.

When I arrived at my unit with all my belongings is emptied from the truck, I found that the staff had not removed their lock. I called every number I could find and was left on hold. Finally we found someone that could help us, a worker closing out in the office. We explained the situation to her and she told us to come back tomorrow, knowing all our stuff was waiting outside the unit. An hour passes and we find someone else to help (Raymond from another location, very nice person), he calls the general manager and he sends the same woman who told us she couldn’t help, to open the lock. They didn’t apologize, and were laughing upon arrival.

I had ordered supplies over 1 month in advance. Not only were my supplies not available (I ordered 6 furniture pads, there were only 3), half of them were missing from the order (TV box and mattress cover). I also had to wait in line for about 45 minutes before I could be seen. Next, I was given no instruction, or map as to where my storage unit was located. When I came in with a full truck 90 min later, I found out that my movers were unloading the truck at the wrong doc! We had to then request a different (more expensive) storage unit so we didn't have to pack back up only to unpack again. I then needed a refund for the furniture pads that were not given to me. This took over 30 min! The ONLY good thing about this experience were the movers I hired through you. I understand the the staff here was strapped for help ( while I was there I learned that one staff member was late, and another just left work without telling anyone.) You all need to hire more reliable people, and train them better in communication skills. I spent almost as much time in the office waiting as I had actually packing or unpacking my apartment.
