Nothing at all customer services is always on point and well presented.



I booked a van online but they did not allow drop offs at other locations. I had no choice other than taking a larger vehicle that did not fit through the garage where I needed to move my boxes. As a result I ended up having to go through the stairs and the moving was a nightmare. You should let customers booking online know that at this location vans cannot be drop off at other locations. Why did the system did allow me to this type of booking? Attendants were not helpful.

This was the 3rd different location I had to go to. The first location “guaranteed” having car transport but hours before pickup they called me telling me that they didn’t actually have one. They sent me to the Yonkers location where they opened up late leaving me waiting even longer to pick up the car transport. When they finally showed up they had issues showing me how to use the simplest components of the transport (ratchet straps and the plugs that hook up to my truck). After they finally hooked it up they had me check the lights, they had me test the brake lights and left and right turn signals which the U-Haul employee gave us the thumbs up saying we’re “good to go” as I pull out of the parking lot my truck notified me that the left blinker was INOP. I hopped out to look for myself and my truck was right the blinker didn’t work. So one of your employees knew one of the safety features of the car transport wasn’t working and still told me that I was good to drive across the country! I brought it back asking for a new car transport to blank stares from your employees. Desperate to get my trip going I started offering ideas to fix the trailer (changing the bulb, checking the wiring) they brought out a bulb from the garage and couldn’t figure out how to change it so my 63 year old father-in-law had to do it for them. After all of this we couldn’t fix the transport and they made me go all the way to the Bronx to get a transport. Now the Bronx location was great, the other two locations need to be more like them.

Be truthful about gas meter readings. Lean to the aide of customer if dial is just slight off from original reading. In that, you will have returning customers and your integrity will be honored in the eyes of your returning customers. My gas meter dial was off when seated in vehicle and mileage was off by 30 miles. Mistakes happen, but a customer suddenly paying out additionally, at no fault of her or his, is unfair practice. I am sure gasoline often comes to U-haul, donated by customers regularly. I've done it many times myself. So, 1-3 slight indication of gas meter dial in a customer's favor is not asking for too much. We're very often the customers who return and honesty is the best policy and customers come first!

I would tell them to be careful. The staff was very nice, but the vehicle I got had the change oil light on, low tire pressure light on and did not have windshield wiper fluid and it was snowing. I had to pull off the road several times to clean the windshield.

Trucks should be checked for lights signals etc before rental. Staff was very pleasant.

We were charged an additional fee with absolutely no explanation of what this was for. It appears that they charged us for another week's rental but then took the boxes back. So basically we paid another weeks rental fee for the one extra hour? And now even though we paid the weeks rental, the took the boxes and will presumably make money by giving them to someone else during the week we are paying? What's more, I spoke with employees at this location twice to let them know I was on my way and was told that everything was fine as long as we got there before it closed. There was no mention of any type of fee. Upon drop off, they told my husband we still had a remaining balance and he paid it. I checked the bill later and realized it made no sense. I called to ask and spoke with someone at a central UHaul facility who also couldn't understand the charge. They told me someone from the location would contact me in 5 minutes to explain. Three hours laters and the location is closed and I was never contacted. Awful service!!!

I couldn't imagine how easy was to rent a truck. It only took 10 minutes to have the keys in my hands.. The only problem is that their tracks are has eaters .. I waist 10 gallons of gas on 88 miles..! Other that that , everything is excellent..!
