That was resolved but created frustration and wasted valuable time to resolve.

PAUL HWe stored our camper there for ten years since it is located a mile away from us and was a reasonable price. Through the years the cost kept going up without any reasonable benefit. We enjoyed the convenience of the location though so we stayed. We did not like how dirty the parking slots were (trash never picked up, items form storage units left out and a hazard), we rented a tow dolly and it had a torn strap so we could not secure the car tire correctly) the road the get to the entrance is not maintained and full of potholes. Our camper was broken into and we were notified quickly. Lack of cameras and poor lighting made it so the thieves were not detected. The back fence line was not secure for a long time. Recently improved. With the increase in camper storage availability with better security and amenities we decided to move elsewhere. When we expressed our concerns to management, no responsibility was taken and no solutions offered or compensation given for inconveniences (like the broken strap on the tow dolly).

SUSAN PAn Asia man was there when I delivered my Truck. He said I was short on gas by 1/8th of a Tank. I told him that I disagreed and offerred to show him receipts that I had purchased 8 gallons before coming there which should have covered by 72 miles. He said he would go but what he thought. I asked him to allow me to go put an extra gallon of gas. He said he already checked me out. I asked him to tell me how much he was charging for the extra gas and he said he did not know. I asked to speak to a manager and he refused to call one. I asked for his name and he refused to provide it. He told me to "shut up" and leave the premises or he would call the police. The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I complained and they said will call me in 48 hours and they did not. I will never ever use U-Haul again after this.

Not a call or text. Not until the morning of my pickup day. That’s when My phone started blowing up with texts messages telling me that ALL EIGHT of my reservations were moved to a location (s) 35-45 minutes away from where I was and my preferred location. After calling the regional office trying get an answer from a CSR, who told me that her supervisor is the one that told her to move ALL EIGHT of my reservations. She told me that her supervisor would call me to help me understand what happened. I knew I’m my mind that call would never come…Guess what?! No call! I then called the location that had my original reservations. The same Uhaul that I’ve rented hundreds of Uhauls from over the last seven years and asked to speak to the manager, whom I’ve gotten to know well. I was told by the new manager that he was no longer the manager that she was the new manager. I explained the situation and asked if she could explain why ALL EIGHT of my reservations had been moved? She chose to tell me that she doesn’t owe my an explanation and there is nothing she can do. Over the years, I had months where I can’t get all my reservations at one location, but never had all of them moved and moved to another location 45 minutes away! I found it totally unacceptable and dishonoring to notify me the morning of, that ALL EIGHT reservations had been moved. That kind of move requires a lot of maneuvering to find people that can help me pick up 45 minutes away! Josh ONeed to fix the drainage of water and put in new gravel. You can't drive to your storage without getting muddy water all over your car, tires and rims.

MARTIN LI was a customer for 8 months. I frequented my unit at least twice a week! Every time I was there I was impressed by Kaleena who was always cleaning. Also, Brandon was always available from the very first day I checked in to help me with anything I needed. They have the BEST staff I’ve ever worked with at a storage facility and the GM was always friendly! I can honestly say that though my time in Birmingham wasn’t the best, they were a bit of sunshine for me!!! Thanks you guys! I’ll miss you 😘

The fence is 4’ tall in some areas and the location where the thieves cut the fence was still not fixed over a month after the first break in. Also the camera coverage was more than inadequate. After the first break in one camera was installed and it did not even point to where the thieves broke in the first time. Additionally, the manager told me the first break in was the first time in years it had happened, but later on I talked to someone else who had a unit and said there’s stuff stolen all the time. This facility is an absolute joke.

Website pictures are very misleading!!! For our move out on 2/20/22, there was trash everywhere in the row of our unit - including: nails, shrapnel, and re-bar. We had to get a locksmith from Michael's Keys to sauter off our lock, and he said it was the most run down U-haul facility he had ever seen. Our rolltop door had more than half of the weather stripping missing off the bottom of the door; therefore, any rodent could have easily sought refuge in our mattresses. Please send someone from corporate to audit this DUMP!!! I took pictures. I'm telling/showing anyone that will listen just how awful this property is. Waste of money!!

My "24 hr access" wasn't available, I swiped my card over and over again and finally somehow the gate opened! Then I get to my unit a little after 4àm. Everything I own from my little apartment is in my pick up. I'm ready to unload and then get on the road Heading for Mississippi for work! But unfortunately there was a lock on my unit😕. So much for trying not to pay the month to month rate at my complex, I start brain storming about what to do cause I really don't have the money.. so I head to the gate to get ready to possibly roll the eviction timing dice.. Now I'm at the gate, made sure my load didn't shift so I can safely navigate my way home.. Can't get out... I will spare u the details, but literally had a melt down, I felt trapped, I felt duped, most of which is totally on me and typically I'm stronger than that but I'm literally at one of the lowest points of my life. Again nothing that's y'all's fault but damnit this one in a million experience just plain hurt more than it has upset me. In closing Im a returning customer for a reason. And I know this isn't the norm, and I know y'all do right and make right. Out of respect I chose to type, I was uncertain if I called if I would be upset and speak harshly or have an unpleasant tone or if I would just busy out crying lol.

kathleen b | Overall ExperienceMuddy mess!!!! Also, I didn't know I needed to bring a broom to sweep the unit clean before moving items in. Our newly aassigned unit #110 was awful to try to move into. There were inches of standing, muddy water all the way up to the concrete edge of the unit. Our brand new, white King mattresses, leather couches, and upholstered chairs now have black muddy water stains because it was impossible to unload and place our belongings in the unit without getting our feet filthy muddy and soaking wet. I had new plastic sheeting to set the mattresses on & cover them, since the original plastic got torn during the move. Unfortunately, the movers repeatedly and unavoidably got mud on the clean plastic. I'm hopeful management will have several loads of gravel delivered/spread. The pictures of the property I saw when selecting this property showed clean, concrete paved driveways. The only positive comment I can say is the man working in the office was professional and courteous, but there was a long line of people out the office door. That poor kid was covering the entire property alone. This U-Haul facility has been neglected and grossly misrepresented and managed. I took several pictures to submit to the corporate office.

I have contacted corporate 7 times an each time told do not worry it will be taken care of.... today I got an email thanking me for my business an asking for a review..... so here we are.... bunch of scammers at this location.....
