This site was well run and well staffed. The site manager, Frank, was on top of customer service as well as supporting his team who were still learning aspects of the UHaul computer system. It was a busy morning and the team's attitude was so friendly and courteous. The equipment we were renting was prepared and ready to go. It was a superior experience.

However, there is nothing perfect down here on Earth, we are still to strive for perfection. I just wish I could have saved the $110 dollar discount, but the agent said she didn't see where I "saved" the quote. I showed her my inquiry on my cell phone. Apparently that was not good enough. We have a mountain of technology, yet if you don't click a very small rectangle box, it means nothing. Add to that how confusing people can make things. Anthony HThey overcharged me a day, said I returned it a day later. When I dropped off the trailer I asked if I needed to do anything else or get paperwork and the fella said no everything was good. They emailed me the next day, charged me for an extra day. I’ve been dealing with them for 12 days now and it’s still not resolved. They’ve said they would check the video twice and it still hasn’t been done. They said I called in and confirmed it was returned a day late. Not true! The case even got closed without being resolved and had to be reopened today! It is not the customers job to do Uhauls job! I should have been issued paperwork when I asked for it and this would not be an issue. I would like my money back and an apology!!!
MICHELLE SWe waited for over an hour trying to get our reservation handled and picked up. They said their systems were down and that’s fine and all but the owner was the only person doing any kind of work. A young woman in the front had her feet on her desk and was taking selfies on her phone and did absolutely nothing the entire time, while the owner was taking my reservation and getting the truck ready and no one else there did a thing to help him. He deserves much better than that. Then once we got to the drop off in Columbia, that same woman was telling me the odometer was wrong on the truck and I was not reading it right. They had to switch the trucks out and the original one I had had 76,000 miles on it and the new one only had about 4,000. That wasted more time. All in all I wasted an hour and 45 minutes on a moving day that was under time constraints and made worse by Uhaul.
Nicholas CThey said they checked everything and everything works fine, but when leaving at night it turned out that there was no lighting on the Dolly.
YENIFER GI reserved everything online- I asked for a small hand dolly and they put me down for a furniture dolly. I got a call the next morning and they said the original location did not have what I needed but i had to go to separate locations for the truck and the auto-tow. My appointment to pick up the truck was at 5:30pm and the location wasn't suppose to be closed until 6pm- Called and someone directed me to another location and picked up the U-Haul truck at another location along with the auto tow, but I never received the dolly and one of the straps on the auto tow was broken. The employees had just pulled the truck around and said everything was good to go- They left the truck running and went back inside and I did not receive the text asking me to check the equipment till after I was driving so I was not able to check it until I got to my destination and by then the link had expired.
RACHEL JThe staff here are nice and helpful but a little distracted. I cannot imagine how busy they get nor how other customers may treat them. They do appear to work hard and are willing to answer questions. The storage building is very dirty and I am uncertain how well the climate control works due to the building appearing to be old and needing some maintenance. I will utilize them for a short period of time but would worry leaving belongings here too long for fear of the storage unit not having proper air flow and temperature control.
LUCAS RI scheduled truck pick up for 7am. 24/7 did everything and stood in line until they gave me the key at 9am yes no point in 24/7 if you wait in line to be the last to serve.
Steven BI’ve tried on 3 separate occasions to get an appliance dolly. This last time we called ahead the day before to make sure we got one. When we got there they had given it away because they were “too busy and not checking names on equipment and we were over an hour late for our appointment” when I showed the uhaul text message showing we were on time, they refused to accept fault. The truck was covered in dirt and grime. I found out when I dropped the truck off that the gas gauge was reported to be higher than it actually was causing me to pay more. To top it all off I get charged for extra miles because I had to go get a dolly from a Home Depot because uhaul didn’t have one again.

She was determined to ensure I received all equipment reserved. The manager Raven was a wealth of knowledge. She was very helpful, by going above and beyond to ensure I left satisfied with all my needs met. She assisted me with information on how to get my $50 guaranteed reservation fee from the original location who had my reservation. I reserved a 26 foot truck unfortunately when I arrived at Midgard to retrieve the truck there was no truck. Upon searching there weren’t any 26 foot trucks available within a 50 mile radius. So Midgard suggested I rent a 20 foot truck along with a 5x8 trailer to make up for the lost space of 6 feet. So the new reservation was at the 3802 Ogeechee Rd location. Unfortunately not having a 26 foot truck has caused 2 major inconveniences. Since everything didn’t fit in the 20 foot truck & the 5x8 trailer. Now I have the dilemma of needing to rent a second truck as well as finding another driver for my out of state move which needs to be completed by 3/6/25. So Ogeechee Rd was my saving grace.

We recently had our spare tire stolen off the back of our camper - we realized it on Dec 21 and reported it to the office. Because we were leaving on Sunday, dec 22 to take the camper out we were frantically searching for a place late Saturday afternoon that had the right size tire. $200 later we did find a place and we still have yet to hear from the manager. The gravel they brought in a couple of years ago was too deep and every time we complained they said they were going to have it taken care of but every time we left the unit we had to pull over and removed gravel from the tires to prevent it from hitting the vehicle as we drove.

Then, I had to be redirected multiple times on a 10 minute phone call trying to confirm my unit was closed, which it should have been weeks ago. Disappointed and will not return

Thankfully, the storage unit was clean and access was easy. I am looking forward to not having to interact with the staff again for a long time.

Janette D | Overall ExperienceI've used uhaul for year's off and on this was my first bad experience and some of the staff aren't customer service friendly some off my items was taking out of a storage i lost some thing's that held sentimental value the guy Jeremy isnt to pleasant he got mad cause i wouldn't move my car one time i was up there cause i was trying to figure out where my items were and every time since than when i come in there he wouldn't help me one time he said something smart this last time he wasnt doing nothing and he wouldn't help me he told the other young man to do it when he wasn't busy I think the young man name was jamel he was very respectful and helpful shay was friendly and helpful as well but the one stand out the most is Anthony Howard he took time to really find out what happened and spoke to me with concern him overall is my mvp Sherrie was ok she tried but i still say Mr Howard held my ordeal the best

I often could not get through to the local office and corporate office didn't have control over what needed to be done. I was billed late fees both times and it took me several hours to handle closing my accounts. The local staff was pleasant and helpful once I got through but it can be very difficult to call and get someone at the Ogeechee office.
Brook S | Overall ExperienceRegarding the staff: Da’rian (he works with the trucks) and his trainee, helped us from the moment we walked in, and they were courteous and very willing to work us. They were way more helpful than the clerks whose job is was to handle storage facilities. The two clerks, a young lady and man, were slow and disconnected from us. At one point, I had no idea the young man was speaking to me because he and the young lady were laughing and joking like there was some kind of inside joke we weren’t privy to. It was uncomfortable for me as a patron. Finally, he asked me directly to give him a code. I had no idea he wanted this from me because he was just saying “four digit number” without directly addressing me. The two clerks weren’t outright rude, but their demeanor and the looks they gave each other made it seem like we were the focus of a joke. Again, it was really uncomfortable for my husband and me and not how customers should be made to feel after spending nearly $200 in their facility. Additionally, when they learned that I had rented a 5x5x7 locker, they immediately tried to upsell me on a larger locker, which is fine, I wanted the next size up, but there were none available. And the only storage locker, besides the one we were renting, was way too big for what we needed. When we asked to see our locker, we’re were told again it was small, like a linen closet or a pantry. Again, I realize upselling is a part of the sales process, but they had nothing else to offer me that was suitable for my needs. I asked if there was a waiting list for the larger size, and instead of speaking to me, she told Da’rian, “I don’t think they do that.” Now, after all the upselling the young lady was trying to do, she wouldn’t ask if there was a waiting list for a larger locker. Again, she didn’t directly engage me—the customer—and at that point we had been there about 45 minutes, so I didn’t have anymore time to waste hunting down that answer. Also, we had purchased 10 boxes, but no one came out to the floor to assist us. My husband had to cut the plastic straps himself, and we literally could’ve taken as many boxes as we wanted since nobody was paying attention to us or assisting us with this part of our purchase. We just took our 10 boxes and left—we addressed them by thanking them and saying goodbye, but we didn’t receive any salutation from the staff.

I always had to park in a space other than the one I rented. The code to raise the gate seldom worked. Infact most of the time the gate was just left open during business hours because it didn't work. When I went inside to get help there was always a long wait to get any help so I usually just gave up and left. You have a nice facility. You have good employees that want to do a good job. Fix what's broken, the gate and staff your facility so that customer will spend money instead of walking out.
