I will never use a U-Haul storage or U-Haul truck ever again in my lifetime and I will pay extra if I have to to not use anything U-Haul I rate your performance as a business a zero

ANGELA JThough the storage units were nice and secure. The price is pretty high, and ever 2 to 3 months you get a notice saying they're gonna up the price again. I drove 8 hours just to empty out my unit so I wouldn't have to keep paying the high prices anymore. And I can tell I wasn't the only one who was struggling to pay the raised rates. Lots of units has tags for late payments on them. It's sad to see. Some of the staff was nice but others were pretty rude. We had 15 days till they would take our unit but they locked it up 5 days early and refused to let us in till we made a payment. After we emptied it out and told them we no longer wanted the unit, a working went out to make sure the unit was empty and came back saying the storage unit door was broken and we would be charged for it. I went back in to look at it because I know it was working fine. The worker recorded me as I looked at it. And of course just like I said, it wasn't broken. The worker didn't even bother to actually check what was wrong before deciding I was gonna be charged for the door. It was just off the track, I push it back on and it was fine. As I was leaving I went to toss something in the dumpster and the same worker came and said if I wanted to use the dumpster it would be a $25 fee.... I just wanted to throw away a water bottle. I feel like they were trying to squeeze every cent out of me and that's just sad. I would definitely never use U-Haul for storage ever again. And I will DEFINITELY not be recommending it either.

Christopher SVery friendly and helpful employees. However, they were shorthanded. This was a problem when one of my rentals, a 9 x 12 cargo trailer didn’t have enough braking fluid in it. Their inventory showed that there was an additional trailer that size but they could not find it. I spent several hours loading and unloading my cargo and as it was a long trip and I did not want to take a trailer that didn’t have operating brakes on it. I went to another location nearby and was able to obtain a trailer that worked OK.
ROBERT PA few months ago I would have never recommend this location but today was excellent customer service. The general manager was excellent this morning and the gentleman that returned it was just as good. Lamont and the general manager Kuterin??
DEBRA AI booked online reservation and in app check in wasn’t working so I had to go in to figure out what was going on. Was told that option does y work for the vehicle I selected. Poorly communicated on website or making reservation for that. Then was told the dolly I requested was not available so when I picked up vehicle was given a different kind of dolly, which was fine but again if not available poorly communicated on website for that specific location. It was okay overall not really professional when picking up and dropping off and not given much details in process. This was my first experience in renting vehicle for moving. Not great first experience.

CHRISTOPHER MThe kid who re ted the truck to me called multiple times to get back with truck since he forgot to give is the dolly. Even after telling him that I don’t need he still insisted me to get back. After i loaded the truck with stuff i was to move, i went back to the location and without informing me he opened the backdoor but didn’t even closed or locked it back. Then he picked up a small bottle from the dashboard that I don’t know what it was but i strongly believe he called me back just to get his tiny bottle. He promised to give some additional discount but he apparently didn’t give any. Fortunately i did secure my furniture with ropes tightly and didn’t have any loose items else it would have been a great disaster on the highway I-17. I was extremely frustrated and angry with his actions and will not trust this location and especially that kid anymore. Extremely u responsive behavior putting me any lot many other vehicles on road on risk by leaving the shutter open and not even letting me know about that.

BLANCA AThey have you use there lock so they have access to your storage anytime. If you use your own lock they put another lock of there's on so you can't get in your storage. My storage was entered with out my permission and my things were looked threw. Now they didn't really take anything. It was just replaced. Yup !! The things they took were replaced by things tht were similar or alike but warn out or beat up. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Only 1 person working on a Saturday morning (which I'd assume is a busy day for moving) 2) Had to locate and place dolly rental into my truck as the gentleman working forgot and had to find him to tell him I took it. 3) drop off, a different gentleman was there and his attitude screamed that he did not want to be there and just waved me off to park the truck and leave the keys inside. 4) Was charged an additional $18 after drop-off but never received a receipt for any of the transactions.

SHAWN OEnsure the vehicle is available and ready at the pickup time. Two other customers apparently had not returned their trucks but it seemed like the employees did not check this until we arrived.
AUSTIN MWalk out with the customer to give a quick lesson regarding functionality of the truck, such as where to pump the gas, headlights,, etc.
NORMA MI ended up having trouble getting the trailer off, thank goodness for a customer returning that helped me. The new hitching wasn't explained and it okay, because of how may times I have rented, but it is a bit harder to get them off....

KAYE CI had to call to receive the correct receipt after returning the truck. I was also not given the correct amount that I would be charged after extending my rental for an extra day. So I ended up paying far more than what I was quoted on a “recorded “ line. I will no longer bring my business to the company and will not ever refer anyone as well. The company needs to put all its resources into better training the employees on communication, customer service and protocols.

VANCE SI used the online check-in option. I had to re-enter my payment info when checking in, even though I did this prior. I was worried that I would be charged twice, but I wasn't. When checking in, I didn't see the appliance dolly I requested in the truck. I'm assuming this is because you have to ask someone at the front desk. This wasn't clear when checking in. However, the employee was helpful and provided me with an appliance dolly as soon as I requested one with no questions asked. The staff were friendly and wait time was reasonable. The truck was clean, the gas tank was full, and the truck ran fine.

JUANA RWe have used U-Haul 3 times in the past week on a move from Phoenix to Tucson. 2 of the 3 times we were called and told something had changed about our order. It made the process inconvenient as we had to drive 20-30 mins out of our way to either pick up or drop off the truck or trailer. The only reason they can give is, “oh that location isn’t accepting equipment.”

I know this is silly but it was really inconvenient as we had been moving all day and we still had to load everything into a storage unit. When I went back to the office the employees weren't inside. I even called and was sent to the corporate office.

Our code was not working and we were able to catch the employee before he left to help us out. We were verbally appreciative and thankful to help out after his shift hours. As he was working on fixing the door, he let us in to take a cart to our unit. When we got back a few minutes later, another customer was waiting for us to let him in and informed us that the employee left without fixing the door. We continued to unload by propping door open all night and letting other customers in. Initially was excited to write a good review being super thankful for employees help, but then disappointed and let down that he left without confirming a safe fix or letting us know there was no fix. Also disappointed with what could have happened if I came back and let the door close behind me without being able to get back in.. still having a 20’ truck to unload. This employee’s lack of care for security and access to our units was appalling.

The doors don’t work after the office closed at 7 PM putting us in unsafe situations. When I brought it up in the office, it appeared that they didn’t care and it was what it was. No compassion, no further discussion. I would never recommend this location due to safety and staff unwilling to acknowledge and address customer safety.

I was supposed to do this online but me being from the old school don't really understand computers and don't even own a computer for that matter. Tony graciously offered to help me over the phone and thanks to his help, success !! He also provided me with a complimentary free month on the unit. This was a great experience and I'm glad Tony helped me renting the unit. This is the type of people that make a company shine and go to the top of there services they provide. RAYMOND R | Overall ExperienceMy entire experience was stellar until the last rental and and the closure of my storage account. I reached s 10’ truck to recover all items from my storage space. The unit has AC additional lock on it that El was put on by the facilities management. When I inquired about it, I was told that it might be on because the Unit was in arrears, which it was not. Payments had been made by direct debit. After records were checked, the additional lock was removed. This was very incorrect l inconvenient since I had just rented a truck to revive my belongings and was now “on the clock” so to speak. When I returned the truck clean and with the amount of gas required, I handed the keys to an employee and advised him that the dolly I rented was in the truck. He advised that a receipt would be sent via email with the final charges. On 03/14 I see that I had been charged a total 285.00!!! Coroner service advised that these charges arose from a missing dolly fee and a late return of the truck which is not possible because I returned the truck during business hours within the required timeframe and have the keys to an employee. I would like my 200.00 refunded immediately. This is horrible business!!

I remember needing help removing the trailer from the uhaul truck and they refused to help. when they were the ones who put it on? My disabled VETERAN father had to come out and try to help remove the trailer. Then one of the guys who worked there saw me waiting in the front and stayed in the back so he wouldnt have to help me? I will forsure be paying more money to work with a different company for my moving and storage.

I then informed the rep that hadn’t been my previous experience storing with other UHaul locations. My account was also reported as past due when my due date hadn’t yet passed. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone as they seem to make up their own rules and not a reflection of my overall UHaul experience. Very poor experience with this location.

Por solucionar ..improvec..:( Solo observamos ciertas circunstancias...algunos sitios y carritos sucios, especialmente descuidafos los baños, la gente no cuidaba de este servicio...y al no haber papel higienico disponible, lo atascaron con las toallas...y el otro baño familiar era horrendo y apestaba ...(stinky and dirty)...creo un poco mas cuidado para el aseo y mantenimiento del lugar ...ademas de vigilancia..una noche, tirando unos cartones salto un hombre de dentro del basurero ( a homeless) ..esoces peligroso ! (Dangerous) yo grite y corri..nadie se inmuto...:( Pero en general aunque no fue perfecto,cumplio su funcion , y edtsmos muy agradecidos por ayudarnos en esta dificil situacion durante epoca de Pandemia y perdida de un ser querido.!! David L | Overall ExperienceThis is the first time I’ve ever had a negative experience with UHaul. For starters, this location which is normally well staffed only had one rep at the counter. While the rep was very helpful it was obvious he was overwhelmed. To make matters worst I was later told the facility closed at 7:30 pm and customers could not access the location. Something I had never experienced at any other UHaul storage facilities and very unacceptable. When i expressed my concerns I was told people were caught sleeping on site. If true, you hire security not limit access. I was very disappointed in my experience and would not recommend this location to anyone.

When I walked up there; I asked a young african american male to assist me.... he replied back with "yo no hablo espanol." And began laughing (In front of another customer) I repeated that I needed help and he said it again. Not sire if he was being racist or trying to be funny but I thought this was being very disrespectful. I need this unit but I will never recommend this place to anyone for that type of service.

SCOTT W | Overall ExperienceFirst of all, I rented a enclosed trailer from you guys. Pulling it was like pulling a dead horse through quick sand. (Iowa to Arizona) this trailer would slow me down if I tapped on my brakes due to a car going slower in front if me the I could feel the trailer pulling me back. Going down a hill it would it would pull against me and made my vehicles transmission Rev up to 500/600 rpm's before it would shift down. I'm very upset about the crappy equipment and I'm sure the ware on my vehicle will show in time. Gas mileage was at least 3x higher then average. Then after driving all night to make sure I got to your location to upload it before my time was up. Every u haul except for the hubble location in dsm, IA were rude with NO CUSTOMER RESPECT! When I went to return the trailer I used your storage just so I wasn't charged extra. So I told the gentlemen I was rented a unit so I could put my things in there so it was unloaded on time. I mentioned that I was disabled, drove all night only to be put in a unit A LONG WAY FROM THE ENTRANCE! I FELT LIKE I WAS GONNA HAVE ANOTHER STROKE FROM UNLOADING IT. While unloading the trailer I noticed so many empty units. My question is why??? Why did I get a unit so far away being disabled. This is discrimination towards disabled folks. All of the folks I had to deal with(except Hubbell) were rude and had no respect towards me the customer. I WILL NEVER RENT ANYTHING AGAIN! I'll make sure I let everyone know how I was treated. THE gentleman in Oklahoma who I stop to talk to about the issues I was having made me feel like I was stupid. Sorry I actually think I knew more then him. He asked me to pop my hood, I was like Hu. But I did pop it open only to see he didn't know how to unlatch it. He then left to go help someone else. So I got out after seeing he had no clue how too. So I opened it up. He finally came back and he pulled the dip stick and said yup oil is fine. I almost cried laughing. I said dude oil has NOTHING to do with this issue. Just because I was aady he thought I was stupid. My anger grew even higher. By the time I left there nothing was solved. It's time for your company to get up to date with equipment. There's campers lighter then the dead horses you rent. Disrespect for folks with Disabilities is against the law. Might want to have better training on this subject.

In order to get this paid, I was on the phone several different times for over four hours. I couldn’t pay on-line because it couldn’t “locate me account.” I will never use U-Haul again.

We had a 3 bedroom house & my 2 children and I TRULY struggled to get our stuff through a smaller (like a front door width) back door of facility. I was told ALL the front units near the double doors were ‘in use’. They should advise location of doors & size in the climate controlled areas. It’s COVID times and everyone needs storage - but not a great choice for me . I advise go and “see” units available FIRST! It IS however SPOTLESSLY clean.

Anytime I’ve had to go into the office to buy or rent anything it’s a minimum of 1 hour ordeal, that’s if I can find anyone. I will not spend another dime with U-Haul, and I will also advise all of my friends and family to spend their money elsewhere.
