The room was not able to stave off humidity. Some of my items had some mildew from moisture in the room. Would suggest some dehumidifiers in the storage area, as Ohio gets hot and humid,

The trick I drove needed (needs) new wiper blades. I think just a little closer attention to vehicle maintenance would go a long way for customer satisfaction. ORLANDIS FUnfortunately did not know until it was too late that the trailer had two leaks. I used the trailer to transport antiques that belonged to my aunt who has passed way. The leaks soaked the furniture covers I was using which in turn soaked the antiques. Not happy at all with this, hopefully the water damage did not permanently damage them. What you can do is actually repair your products instead of putting a bandaid on them.

VIRGIL RAnother customer and myself went into the Trotwood location and for close to 15 minutes (the other customer was there longer than I was), the employee could not be located. We eventually found him in the bathroom, but nobody was at the counter to assist us for a long time. I understand people need to use the bathroom, but 20+ mins is excessive. I imagine anyone could have also stolen things from the floor with him locked away for so long.

I was billed the 13th for my storage unit, cleaned it out the 14th and you guys refused to give me my pro -rated rent back telling me because I only rented the unit a month I don't get a refund. So the year and half before that I rented a smaller unit, I had only UPGRADED a month ago to a larger unit, yet that doesn't matter. Disgusting place of business. I will never ever return as a customer for storage or moving trucks!!!!!!!

The offered me a 26 foot truck and because I was calling my personal vehicle behind it I didn't want a huge truck. I had to wait to get my truck and I ended up taking a 20 foot truck instead of the 15 foot that I had requested. They did help me load my vehicle.

JIMMY CThe ignition would not turn as easy as it should have. I stopped at the location to pick up my furniture and was not able to turn the ignition easily in order to go around the back of the store it took about 5 to 10 minutes for it to work properly. When I was ready to move the vehicle from the front of my house, I could not move it. I gave it about an hour or so and tried it again. It rook about 5 to 10 minutes in order for it to start.
DANA FI have been renting about once a month. It would be very convenient to have a frequent renters club to save time.

ALEXANDER J1. I had pick up time for 3pm arrived and was met by someone telling me the person who can assist me with getting my rental stepped away and should return in about 10 minutes. I did not get my rental till after 3:40pm and as I chatted with help, they tried to call office and some manager and was not getting a response. The doors was opened so I could stand inside however unacceptable for someone to step away when I had a pickup time scheduled. Delayed me day first inconvenience. 2. I was asked if I could drop of the truck at a different location and my charge would only be 865 instead of the 1000 and I agreed however was charged the $10xx.xx and clerk said the charge would be adjusted when I returned truck to different location, which mind you was 40 minutes out of my way. If I would have known that I was just going to be adjusted $15.00 I would have said no to new drop off location. This 40 minutes was another inconvenience. 3. Is it policy for Uhaul to not have a truck cleaned off and for the renter, me, to take pictures of the truck to ensure no damage? This is in my opinion not customer service friendly. 4. I received multiple texts, which I think is harassment, asking me if I would like to take a trailer to another location on my travel. I said no once then again which I understand asking twice but 4 or 5 times excessive.
LAVONNA WI didn't care for your company wanting now to take a picture of the person renting your equipment. I feel that showing the driver license is sufficient, even if you have to scan it the driver license.

CLOTEAL JFirst , I spent an excessive amount of time on the phone trying to set up the appointment. The service advisor who scheduled our initial appointment scheduled installation for Thanksgiving Day, which I questioned several times and was assured that the store would be open. Since this was the case, we also agreed to pay for expedited shipping ($78.30) to get the hitch there in time. That phone call was on a Friday and Monday night we received a call saying that there would not be anyone available to install the hitch on thanksgiving day and needed to reschedule for the following week. This is understandable, however , I questioned this initially and paid for the expedited shipping . When I asked for this to be refunded, I was told there was nothing they could do. I would ike to have a refund for this &78.30. Also, the wiring was not the correct wiring and had to be reordered... we still don't have the wiring!! We had plans to leave for a trip that week, that we had to cancel because of this. And.... furthermore, something.. I believe it is the spare tire , is clanking around back there as I drive! This needs to be fixed properly! The original installer had " trouble" with the install and took all day then we left it over night for him to tighten the spare tire the next morning.... it still isn't correct!! I do not want to take my vehicle back to this location. I want it fixed correctly and the wiring put on at another facility asap, at no extra charge please.
Shannon MCommunicate the uhaul agreement when u switch it from one location to another. I set up my reservationthrough one location. They switched me to another locationfarther away. Which cost me more in mileage. Then they didnt have any of the info onthe driver. Sales team was very helpful when i called and information on how to pick up was difficult as a first time uhaul renter.

MARY LThe truck should not have ever been available for rental. The power steering was loose and caused the U-Haul to shake and feel like you could control vehicle. The driver door was not looking shut. The engine sounded like it needed a transmission. Horrible driver conditions. Should be reimbursed some type of compensation for dangerous driving conditions in the truck

La-Tez WIt was as easy as anyone could want. Took only 20 minutes to rent and be on the road. The return went smoothly also.
DOUGLAS WI had a reservation for 7am and walked in at 706 and the lights were out and the opener was rude and told me to go back to my car. While he opened and I shouldn't have come in. The doors were unlocked and it was after posted open hours. I just don't get how businesses will survive with this kind of service.

Also we were told the wrong truck to get into and that also had water in it, more in fact... which also splashed on us. Was a bit irritating. Also the app and online website wouldnt work when I'd try to upload pictures of the water in the doors and also enter in the milage so now because of that I may get stuck paying for 50 miles when I didnt travel anywhere near that. So overall not the best experience.

The manger likes to talk to your stupid why I don’t know..the keys I had for it was the wrong ones and asked them about getting it off and they said 50 to cut it off….huh.. I just gave yall what I had to pay to get out in 48hrs…we’ve had that unit since 2021..after 8 hrs we got the lock off..98% of the reason we got AN ONSIDE CONTROL UNIT SO MY STUFF I PAID AND WORKED HARD FOR SAFE…..MOLD. SO MUCH MOLD….inside and out..clothes in totes molded..I understand as a business swing how I am a supervisor also that it needed to be paid and I told them I have and she said..the only option I had was to pay 155 and out per her in 24hrs, then Jeff so no because of the size we had that we had 48 hrs..I did my very best not to show and I didn’t but that didn’t stop you store manager and how to treat and talk to people should be his next training. Some businesses just need to be aware people have bad health and some it gets hard for a few..almost 4 years at this property to get treated and talked to like crap..things I now have to replace because your “Controlled Units” are azz!!! You couldn’t give me two weeks to get the other half when I got paid to now I gotta spend more money then what I owed you to replace all my stuff..I’ll never NEVER use U Haul again. Period!!!

I called corporate and left 2msgs but haven’t heard back yet. I went back and cancelled my storage as well. He also told me it was mandatory for me to buy the round lock.

I had just road the greyhound there to get the stuff and honestly the bathrooms were nastier then greyhound and truthfully there isn’t much lower then greyhound bathrooms. Sorry but being honest.

Find out U-HAUL was talking money out of my account they call it auto pay. Didn't know this because when you take money from anybody account u r supposed to let them know that payment has been made from your account And Thank You for your payment. I didn't get no thank you for your payment no anything it took me 2 days to find out where my money went to. That's not how you handle business with customers at all. But I thank U-HAUL and they need to work on how they take money from accounts and let customers know they did so it wouldn't be no misunderstood That's all I'm saying

We moved out of our unit so I came in to cancel the unit most things that you don’t use a full month for companies prorate that he failed to mention any event to me went out to check the unit came back in then I ask him about the prorating since they just drafted my account on the ninth and the move out date was the 18th he said sorry we don’t prorate anything so I proceeded to tell him not to cancel it then I wasn’t gonna lose $100That we would keep it until the following month he pulled a paper out of the printer laid it on the desk and said sorry I’ve already checked you out that’s pretty crappy of a business that you can’t Prorate something that someone is not using

I also rented a uhaul so I can clear my storage locker, I was given a broken vehicle. If "I was not persuaded to buy the 14 dollar vehicle coverage I would have had to pay for someone else damages on the vehicle. With my own eyes I saw uhaul charge a lady two times for storage yesterday. It is not right to steal and uhaul stole, that's why I will not recommend this to anyone.

Twice I was double charged a late fee and was told sorry that's just how the system calculates. I feel that this was the poorest choice I could have made for storage. I would have been better off hiding my stuff in an abandoned basement.

I spoke with over 10 people in regards to my situation and they still railroaded me with fees that weren’t valid because they can do what they choose. I will continue to share my experience with anyone who asks just to make sure they steer clear of this facility and the crappy operating system. Beyond inconvenient and then they hold you accountable. I’m glad I’ll never deal with these people again!! Good riddance!!

The nearest sensor was not pointed out by staff upon the initial inspection of our unit but we figured it out later. I would have assumed motion sensors would be on each main aisle to turn on lights as you walk towards back of the facility. I am very impressed with your facility and staff and love that you have repurposed a business for Trotwood. Great job!

I am impressed by the pricing, the layout and the innovative pickup drop off convenience of the truck and easy storage options. I didn’t have any issues until I passed the office hours. Around 7:05 my boyfriend tried to ask about the 24/7 service if it applied for the return of the truck. They completely ignored him while he stood at the entrance waving at the 3 employees inside. He asked me to give a shot as he returned to help us unloading the truck inside the drop off interior area. I then went and stood waving for 5 minutes. I had the lady give me the wait signal with one finger. Another gentle looked at me and said something to the gentleman who helped me with setting up my storage (after 6pm). The gentle who helped me with my storage looked me dead in my face twice and later walked around the counter and turned his back on purpose. It’s understood that the office hours were over. But I had a very simple question. Does U-Haul 24/7 option apply to my purchase. I called customer service and held for over10 minutes just to ask a simple question. I pray I have no other issues with my belongings being in their care. All was great except for unprofessional behavior, may train employees to explain the 24/7 option when close to closing.

He even was helpful before I decided on the storage unit. He helped me carry boxes to my car. Did I mention he handled this all alone while serving each customer to the highest level. Even fixing my storage card when it wasn’t working.
Asha W | First ImpressionsIn the past, my experiences with U-Haul were positive. Unfortunately, this will be the last contract I will have with U-Haul. The customer service was the worst I have every experience ANYWHERE. The clerk was VERY disrespectful! And it appears no one is willing to do anything about it. I have filed 2 complaints and may file a 3rd one - my only hope is that management/corporate will resolve this issue quickly before losing any future consumers. U-Haul has lost a loyal customer and more may follow if this issue isn't resolved.

When we got to the storage unit we couldn't use the number to get into our unit, besides that I ask for a 10/20 unit and they gave me 10/10 unit. Would had been worse had we not brought two of our own moving dollies. Card readers not working properly - was not able to obtain working card entry after two cards were issued (and worked properly in the showroom). Access and operating hours are limited and not as published on literature.
