Thomas removed a panel from the trunk of my car and did not care to put it back, leaving me screwed with a massive gap between my bumper and back seats. I had to go to my local dealership and get charged to put the panel back in.

Service and staff were excellent. The 15' truck I had was rented to go to Iowa City and move my son back to our home in Cedar Falls. As soon as I got to highway speed, the drivers side mirror worked it way back and I had no vision on the left side. I rolled down the window, pushed it back to the locked position and it would not stay. Would not have been bad in town but on 380 was a pain. My son has already reserved a 15' truck from you to move to his new place in Ames in two weeks and I would not want any one else to have to drive that truck with no view on the drivers side so wanted you to be aware to repair it. Thanks!!

Store associate that helped us was annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation. We were renting a trailer and there were 4-5 available. We were the only people in the store and the transaction took less than 5 minutes. It was unprofessional behavior. He realized that and became slightly helpful after he seen my vehicle was ready to go. We were on the road in probably 15 minutes total.

I reserved a 10' truck for one-way online. The call from wherever then advised there were NO 10' trucks available. A 20' was available. When I agreed to that it was not available. I ended up with a 26' from a location 80 miles away from my desired starting point. It worked for me as I lived closer to that place. The truck was fine. We returned it with zero problems to a different location as well.

For the second year in a row on the exact same weekend I have been forced to go 60 extra mile each way to pick up my truck. I even preemptively called to make sure it would not happen. I did not have a car and had to rent one, the cost of which I had not planned for, and arrived home very late at night due to the 2 and a half hours there and back plus the rental car. I rent uhauls consistently and was very disappointed in this happening 2 years in a row. It has NEVER happened anywhere else.

Maybe advise the customer that they are supposed to check the mileage and send that info before leaving with the truck. I didn't notice the message until after I had left, I also didn't realize there was more than one drop off location-but that was my fault

Richard was amazing!! After getting strung around by customer service I called Waterloo and this kind man answered! He instantly calmed my nerves and helped me with a rental!! If I ever need a U-Haul again… I will drive to Waterloo regardless of where I am in the state due to the 5 Star service I received!!

The young worker who served us wasn't trained very well or not at all. We received a trailer without working taillights, which almost got me a ticket. In addition I was told that if I returned the trailer before opening on sunday, that I would only be charged for one day of rental. I was charged for two days. Previous dealing with this store were great, this time was a great disappointment.

The set up of the parking lot is confusing.

My auto transport was not available when I went back to pick it up even though I had already paid for it and they recommended loading the truck first and then coming back for it. This caused me to have to drive another 4 hours coming back to this town again to get my car. I also paid $50 for boxes that bent and tore very easily and did not hold up for kitchen pans and glasses.

Make sure that the lights work. I took it home loaded it up and then was about to take off when I noticed that both the running lights on the right side were out... we unloaded it took it back in the morning and told the guy that they were out. He told me just one was out and wasn't worth swapping it. I am furious. Firstly why wasnt it checked out correctly, and when I found a flaw or a malfunction in equipment. They refused to swap it.

Pickup and equipment looked in good condition however this particular truck was a gas hog. The previous truck of this size I rented got between 10 and 11 mpg pulling a car trailer. This truck got about 7mpg and was about half full. Cost $60 in gas to go 140 miles.

Not properly installed, guy attached hitch very quickly and didn't check his work. Drove through Iowa into Nebraska with a very low trailer hook up, we had to go to nearby uhaul to have it correctly installed.

This was a fantastic experience. This location was sooo busy on a Sunday, and yet, the employees were still a pleasure to speak with, helpful attaching our trailer, and the same at the end of the day when we dropped the trailer back off. Best Uhaul experience ever!

The only complaint that I have is that when I picked up my rental the drop off location was changed. I was not made aware of this at the register and did not find out until after I had dropped off the trailer at the wrong location.

The inside of the trailer was very dusty, dirty. I had to drop off my rental after hours but the representative did not verbally state that I needed to either mark that in the app or slip my rental agreement in the drop box. I only knew about that because I read it in the paperwork.

I got signed up for a storage unit. They had issues getting into the units. But when I came with a load of stuff, they said its down still and I had no access to my unit! A week and a half or more later and still not fixed? This is completely unprofessional. I reported this to corporate. Had I had stuff in there, I would have called the police and reported theft. What a dive of a uhaul. This location should be shut down. They are unprofessional. The lady said oh well, I can't help you get in, come back and try again later. Um, yeah no. Your keypad wont let people into their storage units that cost 100 bucks a month, fix it. Don't tell them oh well and brush customers off. Avoid Waterloo Iowa location. I have had great luck at other locations and have moved a lot.

There were 2 staffs at the time of check out. Since this is the first time I rented UHaul and I am not aware of that we need park at the check out area. I paked the truck along with the other trucks. The male staff was a bit rude. However, the female staff was very kind and understood our position and helped me. I give 100% credit and thanks to that female staff

I rented over 12 months. Over 90% of my belongings were damaged because of unfixed water leaks and then this last month animal fecess and pee all over my belongings. Definitely don't recommend storing anything great. Personnel at the location or services are not the issue. They worked with me as best they could, was just getting run around about who to talk to about fixing the leaks. Never got fixed. It's the outside storage - don't rent those units out KNOWING there is water leaks until it gets fixed.

I had many paintings I stored in my unit and had placed them up of the floor in the space at the farthest end from the door. When I went to get my belongings I could only get the door partially open due to some damage to the door since i had put my belongings in. When i got close to the end I started noticing some boxes were wet and moldy. The water was coming in from the farthest point and had gotten all my paintings wet and ruined. I was asked if I had bought the insurance which I thought was more for theft. I'm out several thousand dollars because of what I feel is something that should have been caught before I rented the unit. Will not suggest uhaul to anyone.

I don't appreciate getting a storage space NOT big enough for all my things and I got a 15 inch truck! And because I was not given a big enough storage it took me a long time to figure out what I could get in there and how to put it in there! Because I'm moving out of town I have to get rid of a lot of stuff...I have nowhere to put the rest 😢 I've never had this problem before with this company until now.

These people go above and beyond getting your moving and storage needs met their awesome .So when they get busy and backed up just be patient everybody wants to move fast and say their slow no!!you have no patients ! You really do need to replace the person door at the back of the climate controlled storage area. That doorknob sticks and is tricky to use.
