I was misinformed about when rental had to be returned and my first trucks check engine light came on 1/4 mile after picking it up and I had to return it and exchange it. I was told a location to pick up, drove to it and it was a fire station. I haul said they texted me to go to another location because my rental wasn’t available- I never received such text. I ended up being 2 1/2 hrs behind packing the truck due to multiple errors .

Don’t rent out a vehicle that has a Check Engine warning light that comes on AFTER the customer leaves your facility. It’s called a warning light for a reason. Y’all can do better.

Make sure keys are in boxes for mobile pickup. I had one day to complete my move and not having the key in the pickup box threw off my entire day. The staff at this location were extremely apologetic and professional. They got me taken care of very quickly and even extended my rental time at no extra charge.

Customer service and explaining procedures. I called to get a quote several days before, the man was very friendly and helpful. I provided him with all the accurate locations and he helped me make sure I had the miles correct. I went into pick up my reservation. The lady told me that it was $49 different. When I explained to her the quote I was given trying to figure out why there was such a big difference, she said that she did everything right and he did not. Then proceeded to tell me how he did not add insurance or calculate other things correctly. I also explained to her that a friend would be driving the truck and the man said they would need to scan her driver's licenses as well. She said they did not. I also asked her if having a friend drive if it would make a difference when the friend night dropped the truck, she said no because I just had to put the key in the box under the awing. When my friend dropped the truck off, there was a sign saying I had to verify drop off I had to do it via the app or be charged $20. I attempted to do that but it said it could not capture my geolocation since I was more than an hour away from the rental store. I called the store the next day and lucky it did go through. It would have been nice if she would have explained those things instead of continuing to go on about how she was the only one who did things correctly.

The utility dolly wasn't in the truck when I picked it up and the truck would only start after the rep showed me a trick to do it. The key has to be pushed in and then pulled out to start. This location needs better signage for customer parking. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Staff professional and helpful. Controlled temperature storage seemed warm to not always working at every visit, so would like to see that improvement. Electric door was frequently broken and needs to be addressed. Overall, very good experience.

I rented my unit last minute on a weekend. There were no climate controlled units available which was understandable. I requested to be notified as soon as one came available. I even continued to check online and reached out the 800 number. I was never contacted and when I went in to close my account I was not refunded the prorated amount I was owed. My family has used this location numerous times but we will definitely not return.

Everyone on staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Beyond that, one woman in particular (Melissa?) went out of her way to check on us several times while we were on the property, to make sure we were not overwhelmed by the heat of the day. When we ran out of room, the owner of the business helped us find additional storage at another U-Haul facility nearby. We felt cared for. It was a wonderful experience.

Solid facility. I have a few recommendations, though. The entrance into the climate control building needs to have a ramp instead of the mini steps that prevent the wheel dolly with heavy gear on it from getting in. Also, also do you need more than one loading cart for the climate controlled section.

They even helped me load the items in my car because there was a lot. Kimberly L. moved me into my unit and was quick and thorough. I had previously used cubeshart a month before leaving my previous residence, and the staff there and the prospective one in Athens had been giving me the run-around on final pricing. For instance, their storage units are designed to only work with a very specific lock type, and of course it's a type that NOBODY carries. I confirmed over the phone the day prior that the standard disc design of lock that every other place accepts would suffice. I also had to dispute a recurring payment that I explicitly did NOT approve at the previous location, and I had given them my intent face-to-face and by email from the start. Anyways, my experience so far with U-Haul - now and on two past occasions - has been simply pleasant. All four staff I had met at the Atlanta Hwy location excelled my expectations of courtesy, friendliness, and transparency. Despite being slightly more costly than their competitors, I'm certain that I'll be using other U-Haul-related services in the near and far future based on that.

I experienced the best customer service EVER from Melissa over the past 2+ years. She is exceptional. Michael, whom is there now as well, has always been a true manager and gentleman. The unit was small and had a large I-beam running through the middle of it limiting inside. I still had almost 3 weeks left on the rental and was told there was no credit for unused time and no further access to the unit for the remainder as I was vacating it. Personnel was unfriendly and unhelpful and I believe this was a manager I was dealing with.

We reserved a 26' truck, well in advance. We were to empty a storage unit on site, move the contents to a new home, and then move the contents from a rental house to the new house. There was no 26' truck to be found. As a result, the two $65/hr movers, using a 17' truck, we're engaged for 9 hours. Instead of 6. My out of pocket was $195 extra. My U-Haul fees should be comped. If not, I will never use uhaul again.

No attendant in the store. Had to wait 15 min with 2 other customers before employee finally appeared. Unit was too small for size of truck, upstairs, and cut in half by a huge beam that rendered most of space unusable. 7 foot couch would not fit in supposedly 10 ft unit. No other units available at any price. It was 90 degrees at 7pm inside “climate controlled” facility. Ended up having to keep truck over night and unloading 1/2 of truck into my living room and taking off work to return the next day. Then charged for extra mileage. Would never ever use uhaul storage again and certainly would not recommend. In fact I would say avoid at all cost!

When I reserved my 10x10x10 storage unit, I was not made aware that the total SQ footage would be broken up into 2 units instead of one. I wasn't made aware of that until I arrived with a 20 ft. U-Haul truck driven from Oklahoma City to Athens, GA. It was difficult for my unloaders to get everything split up because the total sq footage was not split evenly between both units. This has also made it more difficult for me, in that I have to move things around in order to easily get to what I need. I'm not a happy camper about this. Improved communication would be beneficial to your customers. Thank you!

Move out required a phone call to complete. Online move out request did not get to the facility. I was called by them about delinquent rent more than a week after submitting my move out request online. The facility was excellent, the rest my experience could not have been better.

Access card worked for about 15 days then stopped working for the remaining length of rental. Front desk did not know how to reset card or provide a new one, and never a clear answer. Was told they would provide an access code but didn't know how to generate one. Billing was/is a mess and not even sure if I was billed correctly. Cancelled rental and was told there is no way to pro-rate billing. Not even sure this is accurate.
