Staff was helpful and amazing. But, Due to the increase in prices I would not recommend this to anyone. Nor could I receive a prorated amount back, clearing my unit one day after withdraw of the amount due, I find this to be ridiculous.

My unit leaked at some point and ruined several of the boxes that had collector porcelain dolls in them. The dolls were ok but the boxes are ruined. Also there was rats in there at some point that chewed on a couple of the porcelain doll boxes as well as a few other boxes. Again the dolls are ok but the boxes are ruined.

I had an issue with getting a second unit close to unit 247. We saw that unit 250 was empty, no lock on the door. I contacted U Haul to inquire about reserving 250. The lady we spoke to told us that 250 was indeed available, however when we got the confirmation it said unit 770. I called U Haul back and the gentleman I spoke with (Mike) told me that he would notify the local manager and have him call me back yesterday, 297th. It's now the 30th and have yet to hear from him. We took unit 770 as we needed the additional unit. It was inconvenient as it was on the far side of the facility. 250 was just across the hall which would have made it so much easier. Too late to change anything now.

When we moved into our unit there was no food in it or anything, yet when we moved out, we found a very large DEAD rat in our unit as well as some things that had been chewed on. I am assuming it came from the rafters as parts of the ceiling were down when the unit was opened.

This young lady took so much stress off of me, when I was trying to get storage for items that had been donated to me for when we became able to rebuild our lives. This location seemed good. I was only able to reach someone at the location one time. She was very polite. Other than that I could never reach anyone. The door on the unit where you put the lock was jammed from the time I got there. I just learned to figure it out. I did not like when I arrived and the gate was broken and because the door thing was jammed I was stuck with my unit unlocked at night. But I figured that out also. When I moved out started pulling my items out of the unit, I found out that the unit leaks and everything was wet. I attempted to contact someone at that location and could not reach them. I went ahead and emptied the unit and came back the next day to find a tag on the unit stating that it was ready to be rented. I went into the app so that I could make sure it had been closed out and it hadn't. The reason I had returned was to close it out. Therefore I had to remove the tag on the door and complete the checkout process through the app. I've never had this issue with any U-Haul facility before and it was very disappointing. I have several items that were ruined and that is not okay. Unfortunately I could not reach them at the location and was not given another option. I will make sure to use a different U-Haul next time storage is needed. I can say that I did rent a trailer from another location in town to empty that storage unit and it was a five-star experience.

Climate control area was not maintained as advertised.. Several times we went to our unit and found the temperature above 90, even 105 degrees.. that is unacceptable.. when I did call to complain, I was told it was between acceptable numbers in the morning when checked... well it wasn't when we checked it... and the air conditioner was blowing warm or hot air when it was blowing.... And this unit has a rat, mouse problem.... Yet this U-haul facility falls under the same pretense's as others that a promise should be kept to a customer... you failed us.... we will never use your facility again...

I had to shift to 3 units in one month due to my moving circumstances and each time every member of the staff made it stress-free without judgement of my necessary changes. I had to load furniture into a unit so the first one was too small but didn’t realize this need when first renting the unit. The second one was perfect and held all belongings for the weeklong need, the third one was necessary as without the furniture I was paying for a great deal of open space.

The only reason I didn't give in an Excellence is because the ceiling insulation had fallen down and because of my schedule and living out of town I was not able to get back up there so when I moved everything out there were pieces of insulation all over my stuff. Not your fault but not the best scenario either.

I would like to thank the staff at the Copperas Cove, Texas location. They were phenomenal. My husband recently passed away and I didn’t have the means to clears out our storage. 1 particular employee kind of ruined it for us. My wife and I moved and had everything out of the unit 4 full days before our payment for the next month was supposed to be auto-drafted from our account. After we had the unit cleaned out, my wife went to the office to give back the remote clicker because she was not there when we initially got the unit. She was not aware of what the process was and thought she could get answers from the staff. Unfortunately, the guy that happened to be working at the time, was less than helpful. He was rude to my wife and treated her as if she was dumb for asking. And then as soon as she left he made a joke to the other people that he was having a conversation with when my wife came in. My wife heard him say something and looked back to see that all 3 were looking back at her laughing. Also, he told her that he didn’t need to know the unit number and that he’d figure it out and rushed her out basically. We also, had to resort to going to the office because nobody answers the phone there. But after all this, we received a call from the manager, Nikki Taylor, and she was more than helpful and as nice as she could be. If we could have dealt with her from the beginning, we’d probably have nothing but good things to say. Unfortunately, that 1 employee is what made it a 2-star experience.

When checking out the instructions are to leave the gate remote and card in the unit, but when exiting you need the card or key to open the gate (I did not have or remember my gate code). An employee was working in one of the units, so she opened the gate for me to exit. It would have been helpful to have a drop box for the remote instead. Other than that great experience. Thank you!

This comment is in regards to my online booking experience. I made the reservation for what I thought was one location. Turns out I had to sign papers at one location, store my belongings at a second, then drop off the trailer at a third location. By far one of my worse UHAUL experiences. Nothing like driving 13 hours to your destination just to drive around for another 2 hours figuring all of this out.

I first reserved a U-Haul online and it was imperative that I have that Truck at the time. I went to the main UHaul in Copperas Cove, Tx where the reservation was made. Upon arrival I was told no they didn't have the truck I would have to drive 20 more miles up the road to Killeen. Low and behold they told me, No my reservation was in Copperas Cove and they either have to honor the RSVP or honor the $50 RSVP guarantee. Got back to Cove office and the kid working there told me I was wrong and if I didn't leave he was going to call the cops. Try again that night to RSVP a truck which is said to be available, and again the next morning I was told No must of been an error. Still doesn't honor the RSVP guarantee. So I decide to go to the storage which I had already paid for with UHaul. Get there gate won't open, call and get told that I'm nowhere in there system and there is no vacant storages in the whole town with them. Again does not honor this $50 B.S. guarantee. I finally get a UHaul after 3 days rent it for 24 hours but needed it a little longer, they come and literally hi-jack the UHaul with pretty much everything I own and that was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't found my stuff. A 26' truck full. I wouldn't recommend and I will NEVER use UHaul again. I had a deadline to move out and I lost A LOT because of this and UHaul has offered no relieve. I hope to hear back from this review and hope to just get my things back. Wherever they are

Copperas Cove U-Haul continues to exceed my expectations from a storage facility. The units are kept clean and the entire are is well maintained. Their staff are all friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate that the extra precautions they have during the Covid crisis. I have been able to take care of issues over the phone and still get the same amazing service as if I went in person. I also want to say how much I appreciate the keychain "clicker" to get in and out of the premises. How nice to not have to hang out of the car to push (or remember) a key code. The next time I need storage U-Haul will be the only place I will consider in Copperas Cove. THANK YOU!

The unit was not water tight. The are large gaps exposed to the open at the back of the unit. The flimsy insulation on the ceiling is dried out and flaking down on top of the unit contents.

The employee was helpful but really comdecending. We know how to back a trailer up, but he kept barking orders at my 64 year old dad who has been doing this stuff for decades. Also, the original dropoff location wouldnt answer their phone, so we had to choose a different location.

When you write down the milage make sure you write the correct information. Also gas tanks as well. Don't try to argue with the customer while trying to explain what's charges are being charged.

Be sure that you are using better tires, I had a tire lose the tread, it was apparent that it was a recycled tire, this should be unacceptable when you are transporting thousands of dollars of personal property which many of it is non replaceable. Plus that is a huge safety hazard, insurance should not be used so u-haul can take shortcuts in their business practices.

Asked for 5 days to begin with and only offered 2 with 1 free day, luckily plans fell thru to turn it in before the 3 days. I didn't like how that all worked out but truck was great and no issues getting it and turning it in.

This location was clean and nicely kept but due to an error in miscommunication this was the fourth store we had to visit in the same day to actually rent a truck. We had made a reservation at our first location but it had already been rented out unfortunatly so we were told to go to three other stores to get a truck. Good facility to go to otherwise.
