My experience was poor because U Haul rented me e vehicle for pick up at a location that was closed for the weekend. We drove from Atlanta to Montgomery with reservations for a truck to clean a relative's house. It was not close to their house, but it was the only truck available in the city that weekend. I called U Haul and told them I was running a little late. They said "No Problem". No one ever told us that the Mobile Hwy U Haul location was closed on weekends. When we arrived the lot was completely empty. No one was there. No cars, no people, no birds....nothing. This was not what we wanted to see, having driven 2 hours to pick up our truck. We called U Haul, waited on hold forever, and eventually talked to the store Manager. He agreed to come to the store, open it and check out a truck to us. Several hours later, we had our reserved truck. The ordeal was a complete hassle. I even had to put air in the tires. HELLO . . . DO NOT RENT VEHICLES FOR CUTOMERS TO PICK UP AT LOCATIONS THAT ARE NOT OPEN FOR BUSINESS !!!

Jessica C | Online Move InThe GM Brandon Hunter was unresponsive to emails or phone calls. You call the local # and it goes straight to automated phone for main company. Also Mr. Hunter does not check his records correctly and sends bills to people that are no longer using facilities storage units. Unprofessional!!!! There was no one managing actual U-Haul location. Was told by other location they could not get anyone hired there to stay so for the 2+years I was there NO was even onsite to see and correct issues. Some buildings were drove thru or destroyed and open with peoples possessions open and scattered on property. I lost 3 mattresses and leather furniture from a leak from ceiling that caused mold and mildew. I paid for insurance. I had to buy new furniture to replace what was damaged. The claims department only wanted to give $,1,000 total. I had insurance for $5,000 for both Facilities I had. And out of a $10,000 insurance policy they paid $1,000. No one even went out to facility to see damages or how bad the storage units were and the damage. This facility has made me realize I WILL NEVER USE THEIR STORAGE AGAIN!

Benity M | Online Move InThe entire building and lot are far below standards. The lot is completely uneven. The downstairs floor of the storage unit section has such a low height clearance that a person of 5’6” would likely hit their head. The ramp to the second floor is severely uneven, as is the plywood floor inside the building. Everything at this facility is in such a poor state that it is a health hazard to enter any part of the building other than the store area.

Kyle SBrandon, the manager of this location is HORRIBLE! He would NEVER return my phone calls. I live in Georgia and I had to have my Mom who lives in Alabama to go track him down. When both me and my Mom called U-Haul yesterday to end my contract. Not one representative could get in touch with him. After a few hours and several call and complaints he finally called me back. When I began to to tell him how unhappy I was with him, HE HUNG UP IN MY FACE!

Then to get there and the location was NOT EVEN OPEN I had to wait 45 min after my time to receive a truck! And didn’t get anything for the inconvenience!!!!! NOT EVEN A SORRY

DEREK K | First ImpressionsReceived call 2 days before reservation to confirm 20' truck and dolly. When arriving for scheduled pick up, I was told there was not a dolly available. I then had to go to another location (Montgomery Woodmere) to rent a dolly and it was not properly added to my reservation nor a new one created just for the dolly. This made the drop off a little difficult and was a little inconvenient being told I had a dolly reserved but then one was not actually available.

Vickie WI apologize for the answers but its true,and I never did get my deposit back, the clerk lied to me and said he'd send the check in the mail and its been almost a month now and it never came...Test your workers and visit each spot with a problem and see how its handled you can keep the deposit in don't care!!have a good day..

TAMEKA WThe truck return experience was awful! I wasn’t able to return the truck through the site because it kept saying the mileage was lower than it was when I first received the truck.. I was at the haul place for at least 3 hours. The Customerservice was ridiculous! I was on the phone for 45 minutes and had to hang up because no one answered.. It start storming and I got wet up!

Brandon VDon't split the rental locations, or have the customer do the work to figure out where pick up and drop off locations are. Additionally, the location of the rental van was in an old motel with no power. I did not feel safe, nor would I send my wife there alone. Worst rental experience I've had with the company. The AT pick up was fine, and about how I expected it to be. The staff was helpful and understanding.

Linda BApril was great at the storage facility. There were some computer access issues but she cheerfully helped get everything corrected. Our one way truck rental was good. The truck was clean, new and only could have used new wiper blades. It was a pleasant rental experience at pickup and drop off.

Office was NOT open during amended hours stated on Door. I set up rental for in person rental and return. No one was available to return and I had no instructions on how to return, until after the fact. No one was available via telephone to help either.
Michael GWhen a customer reserve a vehicle have that vehicle. Thats was the 3rd time I reserved a truck and when it was time to pick up it wasn’t available and I had to choose something else. Other than that it was ok

Ronald Lthe air conditioner was not working in the 26 ft truck that I rented. I would have thought that some discount would have been offered. I rented it for 24 hrs and returned it after 6 hrs. The cab was very hot. The employee verified that the a/c was blowing warm air at the time I returned it.

Carlos TOur Church rents a vehicle weekly. The checking out process takes more than 30mins. The credit card processing machine is unavailable for transactions. Can you provide faster service to customers that routinely utilize your services?
Valtoria JFriendly service, but took 3 hours for a simple hitch install. 1hour in mechanic had to call in another tech to come from another location, as it seemed he was unfamiliar with what to do. Got the hitch installed, then could still not complete the installation of the ball joint. Had to have yet another tech finish. Onsite mechanic needs more training. Went there for convenience but was more inconvenient if anything.
