KENNETH WThe first tow dolly they hooked up had an inoperative left tail lamp/turn signal. The dolly had to be unhooked and another one was connected. This time the dolly had an issue with the right tail lamp/turn signal so again another one had to be connected. I appreciate them not trying to give me dolly with anything inop on it but it took well over 30 minutes from the time I arrived to the time I pulled away. I hope time will be reduced in the future as tomt

NELSON AOur original reservation was scheduled in one location in Jupiter Florida and U-Haul moved the reservation location to Hobe Sound Florida which was a self-service location with nobody on site to help us with our tow dolly hook up. The gentlemen we spoke with that runs the Hobe Sound location was extremely rude and of no help to us as U-Haul customers. I was appalled at his lack of care or concern. We were stuck and had to be in Ohio the following day. We had to drive 45 minutes out of our way to West Palm Beach after speaking with someone at U-Haul customer service. While the problem was remedied, we do not understand why U-Haul would put is in such a tough position, spending extra money and time for something that should have been easy to execute. I will be posting my experience on-line for other to see and be wary of.

LONG NThe trailer was a NIGHTMARE…scariest trailer I’ve ever towed in my 20+ years of hauling horses and construction supplies. It fishtailed so many times on my drive that I was terrified. It fishtailed when it was unloaded and when I had the car hood in it. I almost got into an accident numerous times. Will definitely never rent that trailer again 😵💫

JOSEPH B | First ImpressionsThis location was fantastic. But my original reservation was for a different location. We arrived and weren't able to get a truck. We were scrambling last minute on the phone with uhaul trying to get a truck. Luckily this location had what we needed. The whole thing was very stressful. My mother had passed away the week before and on this day we only had a 6 hour window to remove her things from her apartment. Having to rush and find another location was horrible! We were told we would get a $50 credit for our troubles. When we didn't get the credit I called back and they assured me it would be credited back to my card. It has been a week and I have not received the credit or been contacted by your company. This has been one of the worst experiences ever! I hope to never need your trucks again.

Austin M | Overall ExperienceThe Truck did not like to stop very well.. the brakes worked just took a long time to stop it seemed. I tow a 26 foot travel trailer behind my truck and my brakes are better than that... The trailer seemed to have a week spot in it the floor squeaked a lot as you walked in it and the door was a little tuff to operate as well up and down. No handle to or strap to use to pull up or down on.. Other that that overall the folks were very helpful and great to work with...
STANLEY JAfter I reserved my U-Haul online, I was sent an email to precheck in, scan both sides of my DL, etc. I also had chose the easy option of mobile check in. Before arriving to the U-Haul location, I attempted to sign into my account so my phone would be ready once I arrived. The website said I needed to put in the code it had emailed me. I pressed the resend code button five times, but never got anything. I even downloaded the U-Haul app, but ran into the same problem. Once I arrived at the U-Haul location the person at the counter tried sending me an email as well. At the same time I showed him that I was going to send myself a test email to prove my phone and emails were working. After we agreed the problem was on U-Haul's end, the counter person then proceeded to tell me that everything I did in the precheck in was not on file and needed to be done again. Thankfully the rest of the day/rental went ok because this was a disaster of a beginning. The six emails of codes I needed to get into U-haul's site were finally emailed to me a half hour after I left the U-Haul location with the truck.

REGINA MWhen I arranged this U-Box move I was encouraged to add insurance for all stages of the move (packing up the items, shipping them, and delivering them) so that any damages along the way would be covered. However, even though there was damage to some of the items, I was informed that the insurance didn't cover it, for reasons I still don't understand. The specifics of the coverage were not clearly explained, I never saw a written description of the coverage, and it was a total waste of money for me to have paid for that supposed coverage. The manager of the rental agency was extremely unhelpful. A U-Haul representative made it sound like I would get a partial refund, but I didn't hear back from her, and other agents and the insurance company insisted that the insurance did not cover the damages.

And it would jump like a horse when changing the gear. It was very scary, I thought it was gonna break any minute. Also breaking the truck on a stop was also scary cause it wasn’t taking the break. So it needed to be apply slowly and intervals. Customer service was great. Truck needs to be replace.

Me and my family killed multiple roaches coming from our assigned unit while moving our clothes and furniture into storage. I took videos of live and dead roaches. These are the type of roaches that crawl around the projects. Not even an hour into moving our things in roaches were crawling over our boxes and furniture. Even the custodian lady did nothing. She’s supposed to be cleaning yet multiple dead roaches and insects were on the floor in front of my storage unit and the surrounding units. When asked if she could clean them up she got in her car and just sat there after stating she had just clocked out and that the situation had nothing to do with her. The fact that I had to spend my own money to get roach motel, boric acid pellets and foggers is ridiculous. For this facility willingly spread the infestation to other peoples homes through their belongings in storage is disgusting and careless. They don’t care enough to get an exterminator to clear the infestation completely before renting these units out.

Now getting a truck from the military trailer they are okay they need to change there attitude I understand that some customer are very extremely rude and it looks like sometimes you don't want to come to work but keep calm and a smile on your face sometimes you have to pretend like you're not upset or don't feel like being at work at all for the ones on military trail just pray about everything the Lord will work it out for you thank you all for all your help things will get better
ladonna m | Overall ExperienceOn the day I was moving out, my key broke off in my lock. It was 6:45 pm and I went to the office which was already locked up (closing hours said 7 pm). I finally found 2 employees and explained my situation. They were not helpful at all and said they were closed and I needed to call a locksmith. Then they assured me they would put a note in the system as I explained I didn’t get paid until April 12th to obtain a locksmith. Fast forward I had to call a friend to pay for my locksmith, I called the next morning and told the office I had moved out on 3/28/24 (before April 1st payment was due. Then on 4/9/24 I’m getting late notice charges texted to me. Terrible communication within the office staff. No follow through for the first 2 guys I encountered who closed early, didn’t put notes in my account, and the other officer personnel who did not close my account after I called to notify of my departure.

STUART P | Overall ExperienceThere was a couple being helped, a couple waiting for help and then I came in. The rep currently helping a couple said she’d be right with me. About 10 minutes later another rep came in but said nothing to me our the other couple waiting. The other couple got annoyed - the said they had been waiting quite a while and no one has talked to them but they acknowledged me. That rep did end up helping them but more so out of spite. I would just teach new employees to also ask someone if they need help even if you are unable to help them right that second. Most people just want to ensure they are being seen.

The manager there was very very rude not just with me, but also his employees. He refused to give me a storage unit non climate outside walk in. He just kept saying Uhal doesn’t allow him to do that. Those units are for vip members. I told him I’m disabled and I need something convenient. I told him I just drove from Daytona Beach and I have my reservation and I know what I reserved and here it is. I showed him a copy of my itinerary when I got on the phone with Customer Service that’s when he decided to say you know what I’m gonna work something out with you just give me a minute. I was on the phone with Lilla who said ok great if he’s going to help you great. The manager knows my password I asked him to change it he refused said I have to do it online I asked for a website he refused to pull it up. I asked another employee didn’t help either. Not sure if there against white people or they don’t like a women with Athourity asking questions. I wasn’t pleased with any of this move having me drive out of my destination and I wasn’t accommodated. Uhal was so much better years ago. Employees are nasty high on marijuana in both locations in Vista Parkway. They were talking about it and even in International Speedway drop off the employees were talking about marijuana. It’s just not a friendly environment for kids. Uhal really need to get good employees.
Diana O | First ImpressionsI am upset because the young women at the counter told me that they do not have 24hr access and I was informed by the men who check in the trucks etc that there is a 24hr access to the storage u just have to pay extra and I informed him I asked the girls about it at the front desk n they told me something diff and on top of that why give me a storage on the 2nd floor when there is soooo much space on the bottom floor smh I’m just upset. But the building is nice clean and very upkept
