Rude customer service by one of the employees. I would never let one of my employees answer a phone or talk to customers the way he talked to me. Very unprofessional and concerning. Trailer was dirty and not swept out.

The people they have working at the Williston location are terrible they charged me twice for a uhaul rental and they failed to cancel my storage unit after I called and spoke with staff and let them know it was empty and clean. They were rude and acted like they were not trained enough to be working the store alone. I will NEVER spend my hard earned money there again. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

After having a nightmare experience using a moving broker the last time I moved cross country, I was very nervous when I had to move again. It was difficult because i was moving from rural Montana to suburban Pennsylvania and many carriers didn't even service that part of the country I was moving from. U-HAUL with its U-Box services provided the perfect answer for my needs. I loved that it could all be handled in one place - the box rental and the transport, I was also very grateful for the Moving Helpers on each end of the move with whom I was able to contract through the U-HAUL app and website. All phone calls were answered, all info updated, everything arrived on schedule and there were no hidden or surprise uncharges. Everything worked exactly as UHAUL promised it would. This shouldn't be a surprise but in this day and age and in this industry which has a problem with fraud and brokers, it was very welcome. Thank you U-HAUL

I guess I will need to be taking a picture of the gas tank when I get the truck next time because they scammed me out of my 100 dollar security deposit and I made me pay for when I was bringing the truck back. The employees aren’t trained and are left alone in the store, multiple times they repeated to me how they were not trained on the job yet!

First truck given to us, the back door wouldn't open. Second truck didn't want to start. When it finally did, we were told it would be fine. Due to negative temps, running the vehicle gets the battery going! When we stopped at lights/stop signs, it would stall. It finally gave up completely at out storage unit. Over two hours later a mechanic came. He was great but couldn't fix the issue. He had to limp it back to U-Haul. We were not able to complete what we needed to do and not even offered a refund of any amount. We were stuck in negative temps and it seemed to be no problem for them.

U-haul misleads customers. I reserved a 10'×20' unit, they had none available (still being built). I was given 2 10'×10' units instead. The units were useless because they rent them as 10'×10' (120"×120") units when they're actually 9'2"×9'7" (110"×115") I needed to store a couple items that measure (117"×29"×29") I SUGGEST some changes be made to your FALSE advertisements (i.e 9'×9' instead of 10'×10') Same with trailers Last year I rented (in Montana) a 4'×8' trailer which in reality was 3'8" +/- × 7'

Mr Bacon was very friendly anx willing to help. The 10'×10' units are actually 9'2"× 9'7" at best, yet they're being rented as 10'×10' Someone needs to check their measuring tape OR change the advertisement size to 9'×9' instead of 10'×10'. I was going to store a box that is 118"×29"×29" but will not fit...

This was the worst experience I've had with uhaul, but it isn't the location staff's fault. I ordered a 15' a state away, nothing nearby, okay fine I have to get a 20' from a different state. Force add 90 miles to my gas mileage. Ordered 2 furniture Dolly's, only one in stock, wasn't enough for what we needed, ended up not even using the 1. Forced to take the regular dolly and blankets, left them ziptied shut because we didn't want them in the first place. At least the guys at the desk were professional and had good service considering the supplies weren't up to par.

We had a situation where the U-Haul vehicle trailer's bearings went out and as we tried to navagate the issue, we asked this location to help and they were cranky, rude and unhelpful.

During 2024 I have rented two trailers and a 26’ moving truck and all three expert CES were exceptional. Good customer service. The trailers and truck were in excellent shape and the price was acceptable. Thank you!

I had previously rented U-Haul trucks before; actually the two times before this rental were very recent. My U-Haul rental the time before this one I would have given it an "Excellent" review! The truck was totally cleaned, nice, comfortable, and the gas tank was full. This time, however, was a totally different experience! A nightmare! The U-Haul truck was filthy! Inside the cab was full of dirt, and the dashboard had marks of sticky substances on it as well. The front window, on the drivers side, had the rubber seal coming loose, so when driving down the highway it started flapping loudly against the drivers side window! The back of the U-Haul was full of fine loose dirt! Not a little... a lot!! Driving this U-Haul made my eyes burn and I constantly sneezed from all the dust and dirt! the tank was only half full, so I needed to gas it up before my moving trip. My furniture even got dirty during the move! OMG... terrible experience! I did receive a small $25. refund because the U-Haul was so dirty! Peanuts compared to what my cost was. Also, the engine light was on in this truck for the entire trip!

The last time I rented from this location, the trailer I got was rusty at the hitch and the back gate wouldn't latch on the right side. I reported it. I was given the same trailer this time, the hitch was still rusty, and I had to request WD40 to get it to hook up to my truck. I did notice that the gate was latched, so I didn't think anything of it. When I got to my location, the gate wouldn't unlatch. After about 10 minutes of jimmying it, we finally got it open. Struggled with it all day. Why are these trailers not getting fixed when it is reported?

I reserved in Sidney 10 days in advance, then they tried to exchange it with a rampless trailer which wouldn't work. So I had to drive an hour in the wrong direction to pick up what I needed. Had to WD40 the hitch to get it hooked up it was so rusted. Never could get the passenger side back locked due to maybe a bent side panel. Never had these issues at our regular location and I rent once a week all summer.

While the staff was friendly and tried to help as best they could, there were some check in issues. First, the computer system never accepted my registration. The staff tried over and over again to load my registration and my access code, but after over an hour, my code still wasn’t working at any of the keypad locations. Also, the sliding door to the indoor storage was broken and the regular door was completely unlocked. I was assured the door would be locked, but why wasn’t it locked at the time? And why is the broken sliding door allowed to remain in that state? Regardless, I couldn’t get in without setting off the alarm because my code never worked before I had to leave. Very disappointing and worrisome.

Employees NEVER answer the phone. When you do get through they are so very rude. They have a “not my problem” attitude about literally everything; even stuff that isn’t a problem - like buy moving supplies. Williston Uhaul has literally made me hate uhaul. I make it a point to tell everyone how awful they are. I have never done this after receiving bad customer service because people have off days and bad days, they are human so mistakes happen. The difference with Williston Uhaul is it happens with every single contact that is made. Horrible horrible horrible place.

Complete waste of my time and money, every “chain of command” I coulda used to explain the stupid situation Uhaul in Williston put me in completely ignored me and still have “mysterious” charges on my card. Newport is a laughing stock and Uhaul cares this 👌 much bout their part time employees. Only reason I’m wasting more of my time is to get the call from Uhaul so they can take this comment down and get my paper back.

Everything was clean, safe and accessible. Staff efficient and effective. The only issue I had was that when I rented the unit I only paid for the standard use of hours of the storage unit. I needed to pay that extra fee to access the unit after those hours and it was after normal business hours when I called to add that on. I did reach a live person rather quickly, however they left me on hold for 45 min and didn't really know how to help me.So I suppose that later access just wasn't in the cards for me. Everything was good
