JOSEPH SI drove only 10 miles filled gas and on my return gave the key to guy so he can check and close the transaction i even used his store brooms to clean out minor dry dirt. The guy said do not worry i will check it and send you receipt and later charged me cleaning fee of $25 dollar for no reason. I registered my complaint and then that guy called me and said you did not mop the floor ha ha.I will not recommend that location to anyone. Very bad experience.

SHERITA JTo claim on the side of this 26’ truck that it “drives like a van, hauls like a truck” and that it is a “gentle ride” is beyond disingenuous. This truck drives like a freight train. It stunk of weed upon pickup and the floor was littered with giant flakes of tobacco (?). It had NOT been cleaned, so I cleaned it. In addition, the 2 regular dollies, 4 furniture dollies, and 1 appliance dolly I HAD RESERVED were NOT AVAILABLE. My moving help used sheet brute strength to load that truck (and they were a disaster, but that is for their review). This experience simply tells me that since U-Haul, considered the “gold standard,” has a person stuck when the situation turns out less than favorable. How is it there were no accessories on hand that were reserved by this customer? No excuse is acceptable. (“People just don’t return things,” the U-Haul employee told us, as we stood there with our mouths open.) I am just grateful we got to our destination without incident, unloaded, and got the truck to U-Haul in Tulsa. Putting this bad dream behind me!
Susan TThere was an issue with the storage unit that was reserved. When I came to move in on February, 12th, it was discovered that someone else was moved in the unit already. Rahmir did the best he could do to rectify the issue, by offering me multiple smaller units to accommodate my needs. A day or two later, I received a call by General Manager Steve, with an attitude telling me that I would still have to pay full amount for all of the units even though I was inconvenienced. I was going to take the issue to corporate but I never got around to doing so. After logging into my U-Haul account, I see that my move in dates listed as Feb 11, 12, 13, & 14th when it was the 12th. When I moved out on April 12th, I was told again by Steve in a nasty nonchalant like tone that I had to pay for the units or I wouldn’t be allowed to move! Then proceeded to tell me if you live in an apartment and the you had to move out by the 12 and you move out on the 12th the landlord would take you to court. Charles and Rahmir remembered the issue when I first moved in and did their best to help me. Steve should check his un-accommodating attitude especially having a position dealing with various customers and issues because I don’t see how he became a general manager anywhere!
Kamill H | Overall ExperienceFriendly staff. Easy check-in. However, as I found out during my trip, the wiper blades were in poor condition. I appreciate that U-Haul puts so much emphasis on safety in their communication to customers (very helpful) but U-Haul should take more responsibility for the safety of its trucks and install better wiper blades and check the wiper blades before each rental or after so many rental days of use.

WILLIAM NDidn't experience interior. We arrived and there were about 4 other trucks dropped off at the same time. So we were directed to park and just give the keys. We had to drive around again bc the lot was full and then were charged for the extra mileage. We were off by just barely 2 miles.

My unit was mouse infested when I put in the claim to retrieve damages and losses, it was denied due to staff being dishonest to the adjusters so my claim was denied I lost about $10,000 due to the infestation and the employees were dishonest and not very helpful it would’ve been nice if my properties was compensated for I took a big loss lost a lot of my property and belongings, along with furniture and clothes i’m gonna be honest it was only one fella that was very helpful throughout my experience and he’s the manager

JUAN CThe car trailer was missing a chain to secure the car on the front driver’s side. The wheel strap ratchets were difficult to use because they were not lubricated to protect from winter road salt. The trailer did Track nicely behind my truck.
JAMES LHow did you charge me $30.00 for a fuel service fee, for 2 gallons of gas.I returned vehicular with 1/4 tan and it had 1/4 tank at pickup station. Even if it needed gas , how did you charge me $30.00. Very unethical

KEVIN KOnly thing I would recommend is that U-haul as a company update locations that take the vehicles. I went to 3 different places to finally find a place that excepts 26’ trucks it’s ridiculous to have to drive around to find a place.

ROY MMy U-Haul was towed because it was parked too close to an intersection, which is totally my fault. However,U-Haul pressed charges on me for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and the U-Haul was no longer in my possession and I called and all the info was documented in their system. I'll never use U-Haul again. These people should be fired.

ROBERT SWe attempted to drop off the truck at the location specified in the original rental contract, KIRKWOOD EXXON, Wilmington, DE 19808, and were told that they NO LONGER ACCEPT U-HAUL DROP-OFFS. Fortunately, since were less than 12 hours into our 48-hr rental period, we had ample time to locate an alternate drop-off and formally change the drop-off location with the Scheduling Team. But KIRKWOOD EXXON should be removed from drop-off options. Otherwise, great experience with U-Haul.

Then i called customer service waitied one hour for someone to pick up just to tell me speak with someone on site. When i did so, the guy opened the door fro me and told me to use someone to keep the door open as my code was not working. Not to mention, i was told to come back the next day to receive my free lock. further more, there was a lock on my storage and i also could not access my storage. it was ridiculous and the service was terrible!!!! it feels like you guys only care about the money

And later turned out to be just like U haul...too many word games with the people ..this day and time...people are educated and, for me I will make a better choice next time...there are SO MANY Other COMPANIES...Penske, HOME DEPOT...ETC ..JUST TO NAME A FEW....THE truck was FUNE...but the service was the pits.....

Lina M | Overall ExperienceTook me over an hour to get into my unit and had to be switched 3 times because they originally tried to put me in a mouse droppings infested, very smelly unit. The second unit they tried to put me in didn't have a working lock so I was switched yet again. Even after physically switching, no one switched me in the system so my code didn't work for a day. I also had to waste time and come inside to basically re-do my rental process when I had already did it online.

I was informed on arrival that just because I had a reservation it did not mean I had a reservation and no storage units were available. I encountered significant penalties having to find other storage units and U haul then hit me with fees for late drop off and over mileage. My intent is to pursue court action for breach of contract and recovery of costs .
