Lower rates is my only qualm
WILLIAM BThe line to pick up my trailer was 30 minutes long and there was one attendant trying to do her best but was unfriendly. The yard person, Bruce, stated that they're backed up since it's difficult to get people to work on weekends. No apology for the delay, but understandable since he was trying to get multiple jobs done. My drop-off occurred at 7 pm as the store was closing. The attendant unhooked the trailer and said I was all set to go. There was a moment when he thought he had left something on my tailgate, which another attendant had removed for him. That ended with a good laugh. The next day I received my bill which included a fee for not returning a trailer hitch I supposedly had rented. No evidence was given to support the claim, only a charge. Upon reviewing my order and receipt, a hitch was not indicated on my order or on the initial contract, and at no time did I sign anything that showed I had asked for or received a trailer hitch from UHaul, or even spoke with someone at UHaul about needing a hitch. I called the toll free number and spoke with Soncerae Levere, pointing that out. I then stated that I DID have a UHaul trailer hitch on my vehicle, a hitch for which I paid. I said I could produce a receipt for the hitch and was asked to do so, seemingly to prove my innocence DESPITE THE FACT THAT THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THAT I HAD ASKED FOR OR HAD BEEN ISSUED A TRAILER HITCH BY UHAUL AT THE TIME I PICKED UP THE TRAILER. I was able to produce the receipt and forwarded it to Soncerae at her email address. She stated that she would forward it to the location seeking a refund. I later received an email from Bruce Webb at UHaul regarding U-Haul Reference #5418290 "Stephen, Sorry about the extra charge. I refunded $34.35 to your card. Watch for it on your statement." No mention of how or why this charge was initiated. I waited 30 minutes to get my equipment, then spent another hour of my time convincing UHaul that I had not done something of which they accused me, though they offered no proof that I had done something, and all I got was a quick apology email telling me that I'd receive a refund for the errant charge. I expected more. I had a chance to use this store last week regarding a trailer rental and chose to not do so in part because of the $130 fee I'd be charged to drop a trailer I rented in State College off in Altoona, and in part because I do not have faith in the Altoona location. I remain incensed by this despite the fact that it occurred a month ago, and want UHaul to know how unhappy I am about it.

DAVID AI was never told that I had to sweep the truck out. I was never told that I couldn’t use the dolly I wasn’t told about a fee for that. I was charged $25 which is ridiculous and then your employee was rude. I’m never use you again.
JENNIFER CThis staff was reasonable, helpful and explained that this is a repetitious cycle they experience from customers that schedule online or via the 1800 number. Again, I cannot stress enough how important full disclosure is. It should be freely given instead of buried in fine print.

BRIAN KHad no issues with the trailer I rented for hauling my motorcycle. Great unit to load and unload my bike. I will definitely use Uhaul again in the future.

TIMOTHY BI rented a 10' box truck from here and upon entering the truck for the 1st time, I noticed the visor clip was missing on the driver's side. I proceeded to tell BOTH female employees working that day and both acknowledged the truck was missing the part.you guys are charging me for it!! You've got to be insane!

JEFFREY KUpdate the automated phone service! Everyone hates computerized phone services! Hire real people! And don't go with outsourcing to India if you do! When I tried to change when I needed a trailer, it kept trying to get me to use the app but I wanted to talk to a living person because the app was being retarded. The location I picked up the trailer was great though.
Richard DThe staff were helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint is the motorcycle ramp was too short. I had to use wood planks in order to get my bike onto trailer.

DANIEL MBruce was great. My 2012 Toyota had a rusted wire harness plug, and he was able to clean it so the trailer plug would work. Fantastic, no charge.
JOHN MIt is complete bullshit that the equipment is not full of gas at pickup.
TROY RThe front corner of the enclosed trailer had something on it spilled it was redish in color almost looked like blood on the floor and wall. If pickup wasn't so close to closing time we would have returned it immediately. We love this location and understand these things can be overlooked.

I tried to rent a “Toy Hauler” that was listed on the website but when I called the Altoona office about it, I was told the weren’t available and not even manufactured yet ? I made arrangements with the customer I was hauling and had to go back to them to give them the corrected info. It was very frustrating as the customer was the one that told me about it ?!!?
