Uhauls "central location" for fielding phone calls is inaccurate and likely given bad info. The online lacks too. Trying to set up online; the website glitches and said to check a box that I confirmed (several times) was already checked. Making a reservation over the phone in one call? Impossible. I was told someone else would reach out to me "before 6pm" to which they never did. I called at 6:05 and they answered "hellow treyton are you calling about your upcoming reservation at 6:30?" Um I wanted it for in the morning.. now I have 25 minutes. Thanks. Get to the bountiful location where "dispatch" CONFIRMED the trailer was there. It was not. They offered me a bigger one - I booked what I needed, and my vehicle couldn't tow the large one they offered. They said they'd set me up at this location "mid city" for the morning though. I HEARD the phone call and she said for IN THE MORNING. When I called mid city that morning (after holding for 20 minutes) they said "oh for your reservation at 6:30 PM tonight? WHAT?! Beyond frustrating, I wasted so much time and energy just trying to get a stupid small trailer and every single step in the process was a NIGHTMARE and it was all UNNECESSARY. If I ever find a business that doesn't provide solutions, only problems, and hurdles, I avoid them like the plague and detest them to all I know. That's what uhaul means to me. Terrible, terrible infrastructure, execution, phone tree, and training. The ONLY good thing I have to say about uhaul is that MOST of their employees are friendly and kind- at least the ones that are customer facing. About half of the "centralized call center" staff are rude and hang up if I dont immediately voice myself. Please, pull the phone calls and do some training. Contact me and I'll give you the phone number and time of day. This survey is for all of uHauls benefit, not just for me to vent. But even then, It will be many, many years, before I ever decide to try and book another uhaul.

I want to start by thanking the team at this U-Haul location for their helpfulness and dedication. They went above and beyond by staying late to assist me with pre-staging my equipment, which made a big difference in preparing for my cross-country move. However, I do have to share a serious concern regarding the condition of the truck I received. Although I trusted the equipment had been inspected and was road-ready, I later discovered that the front tires were significantly misaligned and worn. Visibility of the tire tread was low, and I assumed the team had ensured it was safe—especially considering I was driving 3,000 miles to Virginia. By the time I reached my destination, the tires were completely bald and the metal wire was showing through. This created an extremely dangerous situation, and it’s honestly a miracle we made it safely. While I believe the oversight was unintentional, it underscores the critical importance of thoroughly inspecting vehicles before handing them over to customers—especially for long-distance rentals. U-Haul has a responsibility to ensure their equipment is not only operational but safe. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously, as better attention to equipment maintenance can prevent accidents and save lives.

I was amazed as to how much equipment was on the lot. The crew was working hard to clear a space for drop off equipment but the lot is small. I went down the road and passed a mostly empty u hall lot. Maybe direct customers to slower lots.

Nataša was awesome and help resolve the issue of my part not being in stock. My scheduled hitch-installment date was also different than what was in the system. She was still able to get the team to install the hitch same day. The organization of the team was a bit chaotic and some of the staff didn't seem to know what was going on or what to do. Nataša was great and because of her customer service, I will continue to be a customer.

Horrible customer service from the darker skinned younger gentleman. We showed up a few minutes late and he said “I’m not trying to work late” and continued to be completely rude. Definitely need to work on the customer service skills but maybe he was just having a bad day, which we all do from time to time.

The employee to whom I gave the key upon returning the truck, misplaced it and when it was found two days later, I was charged for two more rental periods. Had to spend time more time on the phone straightening out the mess. One of the rails on the interior of the box was detached in two spots, rendering half of it unusable. The gasoline gauge was just below the full line when I picked up the truck.

The truck was very clean and the customer service rep was very nice and got me in and out very quickly. The truck ran smoothly, the A/C was cold! :) The ONLY issue was that the gas cap indicator light was on amd stayed on the before , during amdbwhen the trip was done. This caused me concern one, wanted to know the truck wouldn't have issues and 2 don't want to get blamed for it. I took photos before I left with this indicator on to protect my self. Other than that 1 issue everything was GREAT. THANK YOU.

Tire was flat , heading up the canyon when another car told me how flat the tire was . We has to turn around . Set me back on moving . Had to Fill up the tire. Seen a big nail sticking out . And took it back and was charged a local area rate.

If the check engine light is on then please service the truck, don't rent it out. The contract indicated that the fuel level was above a half tank, when in fact it was less than half tank. The lot was overcrowded with trucks, you could have transferred a few trucks to the 39th location or somewhere else to make more room on your lot.

Annoyed that I was offered $10 off the final bill if I return the truck with 1/4 tank which i did upon drop off & the money wasn’t taken off my bill. Considering I only used like 15 miles I could have not put any gas in and saved the $10 I put in if it wasn’t going to come off the bill! I definitely put in more gas than I used! It has 1/8 of a tank when I picked up, dropped off at 1/4 make that make since..

We selected the option for moving assistance and it turned into a nightmare. We had 2 gentleman help us with couches on job # JB-B5A1BC83. They severely damaged our brand new couches, damaged our walls, wood railings, and our flooring. Damages included: tears and rips on our leather couches, scratches on our wood floor and railings. Dented the walls. They were also unable to perform any lifting and needed my assistance to lift. The damages are awful and needs to be fix immediately!

There was a technical issue that caused them to have to cancel my pre-booked reservation and just rent to me as a walk in which caused a 25 min delay, thankfully I had built in enough time that it wasn’t a major issue, just annoying.

The staff at the desk were completely rude with no sense of customer service. 3 of them just sitting at the counter chatting with each other. Not one of them even acknowledged that I walked into the store and asked to help me. I noticed the camera setup and thought to myself why don’t they help the lady outside unhook the trailer being returned. I had the same experience when I returned the equipment I rented. Not until I walked in the store and told them “unhooked” did anyone actually move from the counter. I will never rent from this location again.

This was the worst experience I’ve had with U-Haul in my life and I’ve used your company many times. First, I reserved a 15 footer about 2 weeks before my move. The day of my move they tell me they did not have a 15 footer for me but wanted to give me a 26 footer which was too big for my move from Utah to California. I settled for a 10 footer and let the attendant know that I was suppose to be taken a trailer from Utah to Henderson, NV so I wanted to make sure I was still able to do it and earn the 250 dollars for doing so. They assured me I was fine. Later that day I get a call that because of the truck I was given, my deal was going to be canceled costing me the 250.00. After all this, thinking it could not get worst, when i turn in the truck the location charged my credit card 109 dollars and some change for fuel. When I called them they said they did this because I turned in the truck with less fuel than when I received the truck. Im thankful that when I called them and showed them my original receipt and contract they corrected their mistake. A little light at the end of the tunnel but overall a horrible experience.

Rented a car hauling trailer. The ratcheting locks for the front tire web tiedowns was so rusted that it was almost impossible to tighten them properly to get them tight and secure the car to the trailer! Luckily we only had to go about 10 miles with the car on the trailer and took it slow since the the rachets were not working as well as we would expect.

SUPER convenient and very helpful staff. Upon arrival back, someone came right up and offered to go park it for me. We opted into having the truck refueled at the location and I felt like the price was okay since we hadn't self refueled.

Customer service was great and the truck was really nice. The cost was much lower than I anticipated. I didnt get my contract emailed to me the system didnt have an email for me on file even though I prompted to have it emailed not printed. The system should prompt the sales rep if an email is not associated and you choose to have the contract emailed to you because when I went to look for it and check the fuel agreement I found an old one in my email and almost thought that I only needed a 3/4 tank.
