Box delivered to wrong address. When contacted, delivery driver suggested it had been stolen. Empty box in a gated community with security? Had to show him photos of where he delivered it that were clearly a different location. Then, once delivered, driver placed it directly in front of the garage door, necessitating another series of calls to get someone to come and move it to the location shown in the photos.

I initially used a different storage company. I moved to this facility because it is well lit and well maintained. I did not have time to do initial research because I had to move things due to a tornado. This facility was so much better than the first one I was at. It’s kept clean, and it is well lit and secure.

my experience with UHaul has been an absolute shit storm since minute one! The moving company refused to take my order, so I was told to contact uhaul, cancel, and re-schedule. My containers were a day late, so I had no choice but to cancel the movers, and figure out a way to do it all myself. Uhaul had no concern that I am a cardiac patient and disabled. Once everything was finally loaded and on the way, it ended up costing me $300 MORE to ship 500 miles, than it did to ship my boxes 850 miles. After everything was said and done, almost a MONTH after the order was closed, I received an "Pre-Lein Notice" email. UHaul messed up their systems so badly they thought I still had a box in storage, and were trying to charge me rent. Okay, glitches happen, but even after I had to speak with their cooperate office in Arizona to get the boxes off of my lawn???? The ENTIRE ordeal was so horrible, I would have just thrown everything out, and bought all new items for my home once I arrived if I had known even half of the problems were going to occur.

Several times my code would not work. Another time they had to reset it. There is not a full time employee at the facility to deal with issues. Off site office was not open to deal with problems, Long distance answering service can not solve issues. Lots of wasted gas and time going back and forth to main location , they had problems solving issues. On positive side , Facility was clean and well maintained. Good location in neighborhood. Good rates. Would use again hoping issues corrected.

We called several different offices and all staff told us we could pay CASH for our unboxes. Then, when we were told which office to go to to pay cash, we were treated like shit and we were forced to use a credit card. We were treated disrespectfully and were thoroughly disgusted with the disinformation told us by several employees. Other than that, the only employees that were worth their salt were the wonderful hard working gals delivering and picking up our unboxed. We were also sent a final bill even though we already paid for everything! We would not have gone through Uhaul if we had to use a credit card! We were told by several employees all over the country that we could pay cash for the u box delivery and transportation fees. It wasn’t until we stored all our belongings in the boxes and they were picked up already, that we had to use a credit card. We were bamboogled and lied to by your staff. Thoroughly disgusted and if we knew we would have to use a credit card we would have gone to another company. Yelp is next. We still don’t know if you have messed with our accounts further because you sent a bill after we already paid!

I have had a heart attack and a stroke before and I struggled to carry boxes to pack on a 2nd floor storage that stacks on top of a bottom one. It's bad that the storage stair was a struggle to carry boxes on top of.

It is very difficult to reach by telephone the person with the information you need. The reservation form on the App does not allow you to specify a wooden or metal box. That has to be done with a live representative. The App does not indicate the type of UBox you have reserved, and the request did not get transmitted to the dispatching location. Never could figure out how to change delivery or pickup dates on the App. Always had to call and go through a series of transfers to reach the person who could help me. All people I spoke to were friendly and professional. The person delivering the UBox to Pine Bluff was extremely polite and helpful, and was the only person to contact me before arrival. The pickup driver did not contact before picking up the box in Pine Bluff and neither the drop off nor the pickup driver notified me of their pending arrival at the destination. Just stepped outside and the box had arrived/left. The actual transit time was less than guaranteed. That was a positive. The box almost beat us to the destination. The App does not track progress of box between origin and destination. An updated arrival date is not provided until the box arrives at destination. That makes last minute planning a little more difficult. Overall, the metal box is the way to go, and having the box delivered on the small trailer is the way to go, eliminating need for larger truck and forklift at loading/unloading locations. The D-Rings inside the box were really good for securing the load, cut a couple more on both sides would have been useful. Just wish it were easier to reach the person able to help me on the first call (once I was transferred to the correct person they were always able to assist me) and that the reservation more accurately reflected the choice of box from beginning to end. I recommend the metal UBox for a cross country move. Would not have been comfortable with the less rigid/less watertight box for shipping furniture pieces.

Brought someone else’s boxes late bringing our boxes. Had to reschedule unpackers. They are charging me for rentals that the boxes have been returned. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Called customer service number and they sent me to 3 different states and it took 2 hrs on the phone to get it straight. My concern with my rental. The only reason I had to have 2 units is because the 1st unit #52 has the stairwell taking up space. I was charged for the larger space. The agent said she could GIVE me a 5x5 to make up for that space. I was however charged full price for the 2nd unit and charged double late charge when I came to pay.

I called and scheduled my boxes to be delivered. I paid for the delivery fee with my credit card over the phone. I hired and paid a deposit for movers to be at my place to move my stuff inside. But on the day they were suppose to arrive they never came. When I called to ask when my U-Boxes would arrive they said I was not on their schedule to be delivered that day. So my boxes came a day late. That cost me extra money for movers and me having to take another day off work. Very very bad service.

Uhaul has really worked with me on these auctions! Lily and idk the guys name but he works at baseline and he is African American but sounds white and very friendly- (please don't take that the wrong way I have a biracial child), hose two employees are amazing! The staff is awesome!! They all need a raise!! It’s hard to find friendly, kind, knowledgeable, hard working people these days. They are the reason U-Haul is making money. I would recommend anyone to go to the U-Haul on Baseline and, let me say this, the U-Haul on 65th and Geyer Springs…awesome!! A great staff!! They all need a raise because I’ve seen them put up with some real idiots!! They need a raise! And one more thing, they all need a raise!!

Mostly all good. I had only one thing broken, my Grandmother’s glass pie plate cover. Some furniture had been scraped on edges and couch cushions had foot prints on them. U Haul was helpful, communicative and provided as stated.

Your customer service sucks. If something is going to be late, you need to know that and communicate with the customer. It isn't my job to figure out where my container is and when it is going to arrive. You should have known where it was the entire time. Fix your tracking system so you can find things.

The reason for this rating is the fact that it was a bit scary! It is not in the best neighborhood and my unit was in the middle of the facility. Taking my things out and putting them on carts at night to cart to the middle of the facility with people in and out and random cars just parked with ppl in them made me uncomfortable! The cameras didn't make me feel safe.

Terrible customer service, was yelled at by the worker in Albuquerque on the phone because I was accidentally transferred to his location and that he couldn’t help me because it was “after 7 in my area” and “I was on hold for more than 5 minutes” both of which were not true. I was laughed at by another girl on the phone when I called and found out that my box was not coming to my house that day. I was also quoted a delivery date by a boy that thought the day the box made it to the facility in Arkansas should be the “arrival date” when I clearly specified home delivery. Eventually, I spoke to a manager who promised I would hear back from someone about priority shopping or $50 per day the box was late. I never received a call about either service.

I had multiple issues in my move raised by U-haul. Here is a summary of what happened. - On the day of U-box delivery, I received a call saying that U-haul is not able to deliver the U-boxes. They made me renting a U-haul truck to go and pick up U-boxes on my own. The store was 50 miles away from my address. - After two hours of waiting, I had two U-boxes on a trailer and I drove back to my address. When I tried to open/load, I realized that the boxes are not placed properly, so I could not open the door of one of the boxes. I ended up using my car jack to move one of the U-boxes. - Uboxes arrived with 7 days of delay, and when the movers brought them, we again had the doors issue. This time, doors were placed exactly in front of each other. Movers had to return to rotate the boxes. This delayed them/me another 2 hours. - I was charged with a totally different amount from what I saw in the estimate (about $1300 higher). I had to call multiple times to fix that. I realized that my order turned into VIP, and finally, I could get refunded. But everything happened after multiple calls I had. - There was no proper communication to update me. For example, U-haul could have sent me emails that boxes are here/there. I had to wait with no clue about when the boxes may arrive. Overall, I lost many hours of my time with U-haul on a service that was supposed to help me save my time. This happed in a situation that I was extremely in need of time. Thank you.

Online check-in instructions were not complete.When we made our first visit we succeeded in setting off the alarm. With the help of the nice people at the Baseline Road location we were able to get everything straightened out. I probably should have registered in person.

The UBox rental process was very disjointed. I was double charged $705 for the same box by Ubox Little Rock and by U Box rental. I had prepaid for UBox to deliver the Box to Hot Springs AR, but the day before the Uhaul Labor Services did not have a truck. Had to hire a second labor service from Uhaul for addition $497. Felt like a rip off. Any call to Uhaul customer Service required a Minimum of 50 minute wait online. Even tried to Email customer Service with my contract number and they responded with what is the issue. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone.

The manager at the service center, Sean, was amazing. Even though I’d called and confirmed time to access my ubox, it wasn’t out of the locked facility. Sean personally came and moved dozens of crates to insure I could get my furniture, etc out as planned. He made sure I could easily access everything. Later, a female driver bring a Ubox to the storage area also stopped and made sure everything was going well for us. The employees at these two facilities went above and beyond to help!!

we ordered the bigger storages and we received two small very small ones we have a three bedroom house that has to go in a 5x5 two of them no we wanted the bigger locker. We have to keep the uhaul truck until we get this raking care of help please we can't afford it

Jue was amazing! I can’t thank her enough for answering all of my questions and working around my schedule. I had such are hard time reaching uhaul by phone and was promised a call back by a supervisor that never happened. This was after trying to reach them for over 3 days and staying on hold for over 20 minutes. I emailed and was told I didn’t have a reservation. If I wouldn’t have had Jue to help me I would have been lost. She took the time when she was off to help me out since I couldn’t reach anyone at uhaul. My review would be very negative towards uhaul if I wouldn’t have received amazing customer service from Jue. She went above and beyond to help me!!

Box was misplaced over the weekend it was scheduled to be delivered. Local UHaul managers Stephanie and Jennifer (hope I'm remembering names correctly) went above and beyond to keep me informed once box was relocated and on its way. I have used Uhaul trucks many times over the course of the last 25 years or so and I decided to try Ubox for my most recent move from Colorado to Arkansas. Other than the actual drivers who delivered and picked up my box as well as a couple of customer service agents, THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! The first issue started when my box did not ship on August 30 like it was supposed to. I was travelling and did not have internet access to check on my order. I spoke to someone on the morning of September 3 who told me that Ubox could not find a shipper for my box and that the box had not shipped yet from Denver. I called later that day to be told the same thing. Neither agent could give me any further information nor could they provide me with contact information for someone at the actual location where my box was being stored. I was told that I would receive a call from the location manager in Denver to see what the issue was and never received a call. I called again the next day, the 4th, and was told that it had, in fact, shipped on the 3rd despite the incorrect information I received from TWO different people on the 3rd. The second issue is that the WRONG credit card was charged on 2 of the 3 charges throughout the process. I had changed this card info online about two weeks before the first charge. On September 6, I spoke to Tina who was able to correct the first charge of $202.49. She assured me that all other charges would be charged to the correct card (Discover). My box was delivered the following day, the 7th, and my credit card info was not visible on the machine provided by the driver so the last charge was (again) charged to the wrong card (Mastercard). As soon as I received my email receipt, I noticed the wrong card was used so I called immediately to get it corrected. I was then bounced around to 3 different people on that call alone and, again, was told that a manager would contact me. I didn't get a call but was able to reach that manager at the number I was provided by the agent (when other agents told me there WAS no direct contact info for the managers). She took care of the charge immediately and was very pleasant and apologetic. I called AGAIN on September 9 because I STILL had not been contacted (as promised) by the local Denver manager to correct the first charge. (I DID receive a call but Jorge only said to "call the store" and did not leave a direct number to call. All previous attempts to call the store were forwarded to customer service). I was told the manager, Rich, was on vacation the whole week and that George (assistant manager) or Ann (executive assistant) would call me asap. In fact, Rich's first day back from vacation was the 11th which is when I finally was able to get a hold of someone at the actual store. My local uhaul location was very helpful, however the national call center was the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever experienced. I routinely had to wait on hold for 30+ minutes before speaking to anyone and then when I did speak with a representative they seemed nice but very poorly trained. Each time I called I was given completely different and conflicting information. I was also frequently transferred around departments due to lack of knowledge and was disconnected multiple times during these transfers, which required me to start the entire process over starting with another 30min wait while on hold. When making my reservation I mentioned the TV special to have a free month of storage and the lady making the reservation could not figure out how to add this to my offer (even though I could have done it myself by making the reservation online). She told me my local office could add this on. They could not. I called the national call center numerous times to have this fixed. There were no records of my conversation during which I made the reservation. No one had any idea how to remedy the situation. Finally my local uhaul location refunded the money and simply took a hit for the lost revenue. I would NEVER recommend uhaul UBoxes to anyone.
