Wow, very nice everything someone would need for moving
WADE Fwe had reservd a 10' movng truck and wre given a 15' truck instead; no differnece in proice, but we did not need a larger truck, and it was a bit more cumbersome to operate

On the day that we arrived, there was only one person working at this location, and it was difficult for him to do all that needed to be done.

Shawna KMoving is such a stressful event and this location made the start of my move even more stressful. The truck I had rented was not prepared. The employee didn't know where it was parked. There was a below zero windchill and I was forced to search the lot looking at license plates to find the truck. There was snow and ice covering the cab. The truck was blocked in by two other trucks. The truck that was parked in front of the one I rented was cleaned off and ready to go, but I wasn't allowed to take it.. just seemed like the location was ill-prepared for my reservation. Honestly, it would've been nice if the truck was prepped and ready to go so I could focus on my move.

Eduardo TThere was only one thing I noticed and that was that the sun visor was broken the part that un attaches and you couldn't attach it bc the piece you attach it to was broken it fell out a few times but other than that it was very clean and very well maintained.
miranda sI really appreciate a UHAUL employee helping me hook up this UHAUL Motorcycle trailer as I've never hauled a UHAUL Trailer before this UHAUL employee went out of his way to help me as I had an issue with my hitch whoever owned my car before me broke a 2" hitch receiver pin in the receiver portion this not allowing me to put my pin through the UHAUL employee helped me get this problem by hammering in the new pin which by doing so allowed the old broken pin piece to come out freely and allowed my new 2" ball hitch pin to go through all the way I'm so thankful this employee helped me get on my way

EDMUND RI was charged for a Dolly that I did not use. The truck had less gas in it than originally stated. That was fixed thankfully. The truck was not cleaned off nor ready for me for my reservation time. I also had a broken visor in my truck that wasn't listed on the sheet.

JODIE BMy online quote and reservation was about $75. This was for a box and would be returned the same day. I arrived and started the pick up process. The guy processing my reservation asked for about how many miles I would driving I said about 60 miles. He then asked if I could drop it off at a different location when I return it. I agreed and didn’t think anything of it. I thought I was doing U-Haul a favor. Then the total more than doubled at $160. I figured it was the additional cost of the mileage. I returned the truck back at that requested location. I then asked the worker there, why was the cost so much more than my online reservation. He told me that since I reserved a “one way” it cost more. I informed him I did not reserve a one way rental and that guy at the first location must have changed it. He said that was weird since usually when they don’t have the exact truck you reserve, they try to compensate you with a bigger truck or other amenities. The pickup location did none of that. I would have taken a smaller truck before paying more than double my quote. I was duped out of more money than needed. I should have clarified the difference in price at pickup and I now realize my mistake. Also the truck was not ready to go. It had ice and snow on it and I had to find my own furniture Dollie’s. I explained there were none at the location he mentioned he then handed me two that were the for sale version, as he couldn’t find the rental ones.

PAULA MCustomer service rep was very friendly quick and to the point. Might want to remember to explain the fuel policy to customers though. As a former employee I was fine with no explination of the contract as I have done it literally hundreds of times so no worries for me however it may cause issues for the dispatch location if contracts are not explained. The truck I had certainly needs service at 60 MPH it shook so bad felt like the fillings were going to fall out of my teeth!
JASON AWhen I came in the person that waited on me, was eating his lunch and ate it in front of me with his hands and only paused to punch things in on the computer. He actually talked to me with his mouth Full of food it was disgusting. The vehicle wasn’t pulled up front and it was very dirty on the inside. I had to look around for a while until I found my vehicle. I went in and told the Person working there that it was dirty and I didn’t intend. on cleaning it for them. He didn’t seem surprised.

Keep the employees that were there on Saturday very courteous. I would have gave 5 stars on everything if it was not for you Friday crew.

LEONARD CThis was a very easy experience to rent, pick-up and return the cargo van. We received the best rate and the staff was courteous, The paperwork process when picking up the van was quick. Drop off was even quicker and I received an email with my updated bill within minutes of leaving.

RICHARD CI was given keys to a truck and told it was parked at the opposite end of the lot. I arrived at the truck to discover it was not the correct truck. I walked back to the office and the clerk walked all the way back to the the incorrect truck and said" You are right. Wrong truck". He found the correct truck and gave me the keys. They would not open the drivers door. I returned to the office and he stated "There was a note about the rucks drivers door not working. I had to get in from the passenger door and clib over to the drivers seat.
MARK RRented a van. Told it was full it was not it was below 3/4 of a tank of fuel. I filled it up to where it was when I picked it up and was charged an additional fee for your mistake and not impressed

Debra M | Overall ExperienceI was renting a unit (1702) for years. The unit flooded bc of a water pipe leak and I lost A LOT!!!!! I had insurance but was only offered the 1k policy. I wasn’t aware there was another higher coverage option. However, the staff helped me with throwing out priceless items and told me not to contact the city of Bangor until THEY (U-Haul) filed their claim. I was told MANY LIES!!! 1.). I would be contacted after a suit was filed 2.). I would get a smaller unit and the staff would help me move the remaining property I had 3.). My monthly payment would go down and finally, LIE #4 was being told that NOBODY had said any of the above!!!! My friend was with me and can confirm EVERYTHING I just stated. I’m extremely disappointed with this and to add more insult, my monthly bill went up $10/month and I have NO CLUE WHY!!!!

And they won’t cut off locks and make you try to get a locksmith come do it for you, which is practically impossible in Bangor. We moved to a different facility.

James J | Overall ExperienceMy storage unit repeatedly didn’t lock, and I found it unlocked twice after asking a staff to close it. When the facility flooded, my belongings including precious family hand knit sweaters, I was not notified and found out my unit was directly across from the burst pipe from an employee who laughed and said “there’s no way it didn’t flood”. Further more, throughout my time working with the employees at this facility, they would make sec jokes, joke about drugs, and were not properly trained, or at least appeared to be based on the long wait times and the numerous times there would be no employees in the store when I needed assistance. 100% would never go back to this .facility and would never recommend it unless you want to deal with rude, ignorant employees.
Jamie L | Overall ExperienceThe flooding was poorly handled and the manager didn’t know much. People got in my unit and just threw things out, I will never know just all that is gone. I received a measly sum for what got destroyed. I was not given an opportunity to review my possessions before thrown. Locks were changed without consent or customer knowledge. Main entrance needs light bulb replaced, hard to see to gain entrance, staff is not knowledgeable of what’s going on in the building as well as the manager. Staff are hard to find and not all too friendly. I prefer to use the odlin rd facility in the future, that facility is much better as well as having a place to put things that you do not want so somebody might want it. I have so much missing and damaged from my unit that wasn’t included in the insurance payment, like pioneer woman glassware and fake books that were filled with momentous. I wasn’t given an opportunity to claim my possessions, they were damaged or thrown out. The manager knew nothing of what was going on in her building! I did not have a good experience with the Washington st facility, I will use another in the future. Corporate and repwest need better customer service skills as well as communication skills. I shall never use Uhaul ever again. Oh they even changed locks without telling the customers and so much thing’s missing. Everyone across the board needs to do better!
Jeffrey M | Overall ExperienceHaving been a customer in the past, I did a search to see what pricing was at all of the facilities in the Bangor area. I obviously looked at the wrong building when I searched for Uhaul, because the price was more than another place…so, I decided to go with the other facility. The other one has zero security…anyone can enter the storage area when the doors are unlocked! After thinking about my decision, I looked at Uhaul again and saw that I could get the same size room for $20 less, didn’t even notice what the security measures were…until yesterday. I went in, and after a hiccup of my own stupidity, the process was quick and easy…Heidi is awesome! One of the employees showed me how to access my storage room, which was a good thing or I’d have been totally confused! The security measures are amazing, nobody gets into the storage area without proper access! All rooms have a “critter deterrent” box, and I was assured that they’ve not had any issues, but they use them just in case. Oh, if that’s not enough, you can pull into the garage bays to load/unload…no worries about what the weather might be! I highly recommend Uhaul!!!
