Giving people a vehicle at a quarter tank of gas and then charging them 50 dollars to drive 30 miles is crazy. I get having a fuel charge be elevated for the inconvenience of having to take a vehicle to the gas station but charging people an extra 30 dollars because it's under a quarter tank when they received it at that level is not ok. If you are going to charge people extra money because it's under a certain level you should give it to them at at least half a tank. Also, the gas stipulations should be talked about at the time of rental.

The ease of location, carts, friendliness of ALL staff involved was outstanding and I was pleased with the facility for maintaining accurate temperatures within and all my belongings were safe and I had no damages. I would recommend and use this facility in the future if needed.

JEFFERY CThis was the best moving experience I have ever had -- and my boxes arrived a few days earlier which was even better. The only small glitch was that the boxes arrived to my house a day later than expected due to the illness of a driver, but it was fine as we had planned to give ourselves plenty of time to load them. The UHaul place in Gearhart OR, where we rented the boxes, recommended someone to help us load them and he was great too. I have already been promoting UHaul's UBoxes on social media as this was an incredibly positive experience and I will definitely use you again.

DONALD RI would definitely give it 5 stars, unfortunately my box was delayed and not much was done to make sure I was satisfied other than a 50$ refund for a delivery garentee, the box was a week late and we had to be out of our apartment the day after the box was supposed to be originally delivered. But other than that it was a good experience and I will recommend to others

TIFFANY CPlease be sure to clean the vehicle before you rent it to the next person. My husband and I detailed the pick up truck before we turned it in. We also made sure it had a bit more fuel than when we picked it up. Also the vehicle did not have any windshield washer fluid it was completely empty.

Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, truck was clean, ran well and returning the truck was very efficient and easy. I will highly recommend this store to everyone. STEVEN J1st off, I was given a quote, had it printed out and everything when I went to pay they would not honor my quote so it costed significantly more, when I picked up the truck and trailer they have me paper showing how much gas was in the truck and said it had to have the same amount back but once I got in the truck it was actually a 1/4 tank less then they stated (took picture/video proof before even leaving uhaul) then they say we provide enough free miles for you to reach the destination, and when I did the quote online it gave me 60 miles more then what they actually gave me on paper, so I ended up having to pay even more for the extra miles I had to make to get to the drop off location, iv used uhaul many times and this trip has to be by far my worst experience.... screwed me on price that's for darn sure, will be reconsidering my opinions next time....
LEVI DMy actual price was$300.00 more than the quote. I needed the trailer and it was too late to make other arrangements so I had to pay it. Never again!!!!

FRANK AYou need better dollies, we were moving into a 3rd floor apartment and thought it would be easier with the dollies but none of them were any good for the stairs. Y'all need the triple wheel ones available for rent, otherwise it kinda felt like I was meant to get frustrated and hire your movers.
Hazel BThe link for taking pictures of the damage on the truck wasn’t working so instead of an employee coming out and doing a walk around on the truck with me, they just had me take pictures of the damage which I did. The fuel was supposed to be at 5/8’s of a tank and it was just sitting at 1/2 a tank so once again I took a photo of the mileage and fuel gauge before I left the yard. It seems like someone should be available to do the proper walk around with the customer before the unit leaves the yard instead of just saying take photos.

BENJAMIN KGet rid of the bait and switch. You advertise $19.95 plus mileage for a van. You don't advertise the mileage is $1.19 per mile. Or if you go over 100 miles it's $80 plus mileage. So a rental for 4 hours over 100 miles plus your insurance is $120? Be real with your promotion.
JOHN FNot much. Asking to take pictures before leaving lot makes sense. Requiring camera and not allowing android photo picker is in my opinion unusable.

Maybe Uhaul can offer the option of the moving noting on the order how many furniture pads they will need instead of automatically getting a set #, that may be too many. Uhaul delivered my ubox containers early and I was very pleased! Thank you for taking care of my belongings.
Kathy ASometimes Dollie’s or carts are not available because parties moving in and out are using multiple carts for one move. Please consider discounts for domestic violence emergencies? It really could make a big difference. :)

I told the person I dropped it off with that the it registered differently after leaving. He asked I took a picture which I did not, but it should have been written down properly.

They were eager to help, wanting to please, and super kind and friendly. I worked with multiple people, starting with a phone call to ensure available inventory. Then picking up the truck the next morning and last when returning the truck. And honestly, this team is everything you want when it comes to customer service. Top tier!

Karin L | First ImpressionsThe employee referred us to look at a sample storage area and explained to us what size the different units were based on Yellow tape on the floor. We were interested in getting a visual for a 10' x 15' unit. She kept insisting the 10' x 10' square was a 10' x 15'. My husband and I kept nicely explaining that a 10' x 15' would not be a square. It would be a rectangle. I suggested that maybe it is actually 10' x 15' if it goes all the way to the door to the demo. She insisted NO it is not to the door. We asked if she had a measuring tape and she said no. My husband finally went out to our vehicle and brought back a measuring tape. Sure enough, the 10' x 15' was the measurement to the Demo door. He nicely let her know, stating that he wanted her to be aware for any other customers that may come in. She looked right at him and ignored him. After we reserved the unit, we went to look at it. Not long after we left, I told my husband it is possible we should have swiped the card on the way out. Turns out we should have but she did not tell is that. She also did not mention that you offer a free month. We had to inquire as to if you offer that. I think that particular employee could use some extra training Thank you, Julie Kelley

LEON G | First ImpressionsI feel that the Uhaul storage experience was above average, I would have chosen excellent except for one issue, storage customers are paying monthly in advance, which is expected, but when the customer moves out after the monthly pay date there is no partial refund or pro-rated portion. So if the said locker room is rented in the same month by another customer, that's free money 💰. I don't feel that is fair for a large corporation such as Uhaul to treat their customers.

From a distance I watched the manager speaking to my daughter and due to the rain decided to start walking inside. Then addressed her when she came inside and asked for someone else to help us. The manager did not take any responsibility for her actions, tone of voice or even accept that my daughter’s fiancé watched her mouth say stupid as she walked away from my daughter. The cashier and then the young man working were friendly and helpful. The young man had been even friendly on the phone the day before. My daughter then explained as we walked out how rude the manager was that morning when she first picked up the Uhaul for me. I apologized to her and said I was sorry but all I could do was confront the woman and did. I’ve worked with the public since a young child in Girl Scouts and am now 48, I’ve learned tone, body language etc out speak anything else and how that is up most importance. I wouldn’t recommend this place because of her.

We closed out our storage unit very shortly after making a full month's payment and they wouldn't give any of it back because they said it was in the contract that they couldn't prorate anything. Basically it's legalized theft. So just a warning read your contract. And the woman that helped me close out didn't listen well and was very snappy in her speech. The woman in charge was not friendly at all. The other young woman who helped me go and get the lock off of my storage unit was very nice. But that main person was just not a very nice person no matter how friendly I was she continued to be short and snappy.

Instead of being able to unload, I had to return home with a full trailer to get the 3rd party information. After 10 days of packing and moving my mother, it was very frustrating, mostly because I was never told I would need a 3rd party. The presumption I wouldn't pay the monthly bill, is rather insulting. Other than that, the Chehalis facility is very nice and tidy.

Staff said it will be “soon” but I was there 4 months and it never was. Also 1 of the bay doors (of 3) was out of order the entire time I was there, that’s not exactly a prompt repair. All else was great though. I had issues with logging in and out and tripped the alarm a few times. Could have been operator error. All else was fine. Staff was helpful, the place was CLEAN, including the bathrooms, I did see staff in the facility without masks on, but . . . what are you gonna do?

Victoria E | Online Move In1 bay was broken, there were several people using the facility with only 2 bays. We all parked in the parking lot and had to walk pretty far to/from vehicles/units. I’ve never used this sort of storage before, I only have experience with the facilities where you can drive right up to your unit. I don’t prefer this layout, that is ok. People were helpful and the complimentary carts helped.

Even though I was out early, and notified the Uhaul staff, Uhaul did not refund me for the 23ish days that I had pre paid. Ask for a daily price if you are going to move your stuff out before their 30 day term, before paying for 30 days.
