This is the best Rental facility I have ever used. The facility and area outside were clean and picked up.The staff are great and knowledgably.

Don’t waste your time here. Spent and hour trying to get a truck and ultimately had to go somewhere else. No attendant. No gas in either of the two trucks I tried to rent. Complicated rental process requires an agent to contact someone you know to approve rental. Super disappointing and a waste to time.

Hi U-Haul! I would not be wasting your time or mine if I did not think this was very important. Employees make successful companies. It is not the other way around. I , several companies I have owned, and the company I worked for use U-Haul because you have trustworthy equipment, easy checkin in and checkout, and have personable, knowledge, friendly employees. I have been using your equipment since 1972 and always extremely happy particularly with your employees attitudes. I was so rudely treated by an employee at your 1650 El Camino Av. Sacramento, Ca .location it was embarrassing, condescending, humiliating and totally incomprehensible. This woman had no idea what customer relations means. She not only was insulting and degrading to me but also an associate. Business protocol dictates one dissatisfied customer can have disastrous effects on a balance sheet. You know that and she is not bringing down U-Haul. Her name is Kayla and she is even rude on the phone. Lucky for U-Haul you have a great manager, Jennifer, at that location as well as the other employees. I have never written a letter such as this however I suggest immediate termination...she is a major liability. Kayla would never work for me or any entities I have owned. The staff who secured the trailer to my truck was rude and inexperienced. He did not secure the coupler to the hitch ball. When I started loading the trailer, the coupler came loose. I had hook the coupler back on and tighten it. When I returned the trailer, I shared with the staff he did not secure the coupler to my hitch and he said "hitch happens." I disengaged myself from him and went to the manager on site. He walked in and started arguing with me. He was cussing and was very unprofessional. Please do something about it! I could have been in an accident and could have gotten hurt or someone hurt as a result of it.

Because of the outstanding service I received from the gentleman who helped me today (I believe his name was Elvester), I will continue to rent exclusively from U-Haul. He assisted me during checkout and made the process smooth and easy. He then walked me out, hooked up the trailer, and made the entire experience fantastic. To my surprise, when I returned the trailer later that afternoon, he was in the parking lot and immediately ran over to help me again. He is truly an asset to your company. I had wanted this to be at Broadway which is walkable. Perhaps in the future someone from this El Camino location could deliver the truck the 4 miles as I had to Uber to it.

The fuel level was incorrect in the contract. it showed 5/16 as compared to the 1/4 tank - I pointed it out to the rep at the counter which he mentioned will fix it on their records. But they ended up charging for that level even when I returned at the same mark as I rented. They charged me for 2 gallons, but that's not right.

Inside driver’s seat, it smelled. It felt like someone smoked there before. The truck also made weird noises while I was driving. If I brought the truck back with less fuel than it should be, I would be penalized with extra charges. But I brought the truck back with more fuel than I was given the truck, then why I am not also treated the way U-haul treats itself. This part should be fair. Otherwise: very convenient location, easy to get the truck and return, Good job!

The only issue I had was with returning the truck after hours. I have an iPhone and I was experiencing issues with checking in the vehicle. I eventually had to call your customer service road-side assistance to get a live operator who assisted me with completing the check-in via the web browser on my phone. The attendant at the location was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. I believe he goes by "E" as I cannot recall his complete first name. He definitely made my rental experience pleasant. The customer service rep was super helpful and courteous as well. Overall, great experience to say the least.

The young girl that has helped us on a few occasions is absolutely amazing. I’m a manager for a local bmw dealership and she is the type of person we look for! She is a hard worker, friendly and goes out of her way!

I just had a little concern about the vehicle that I rented, when I turned on the truck, it showed that the tires where low in air, luckily one of the attendants put some more air and fixed it, thanks, is just that, if they could inspect more carefully their vehicles, this times of impressions are very important, it will hiw confident are you about the product you are selling, but again thank you, I was pleased with my rental.

Clean the equipment. I was told that they were going to clean the equipment so it would be ready when I picked it up, but they did not. The cargo area was not vacuumed or wiped down. The passenger area was not clean and the outside of the van was not clean.

The young man who helped me….. check my account / receipt… see who checked me in ( I forget his name) GIVE HIM A RAISE! (You won’t) and honestly, if I still owned my record label, I would have to find a place for him inside of the company because of how helpful he was, it was his energy as well! I rented a Uhaul from this place twice, and the first time, they told me I drove more miles than I did, and I let it go because I did not want to get into it with them. I was in a rush, and I paid for it. This is the 2nd time I rented a Uhaul, and they did it again. I drove 136 miles, and the person checking me out claimed I drove 180 miles. I showed him my GPS as proof, and he still claimed that I was lying. This location is stealing from people, and I believe they document lower miles when checking in the vehicles prior to renting it; he asked if I took a photo of the miles on the odometer. I explained that I did not because I didn't think they were running a dishonest operation. He claimed a text message was sent to my phone telling me to check the odometer. I explained nobody told me this, and when I checked my phone, the link took me to an error page. after all this he tells me, i wont be able to rent another uhaul again from any location because, i will have a left over balance. I recommend a corporate deal with this location and get this handled. Stealing from a customer should never be acceptable. I'm sure I'm not the only person they have done this to.

I had an excellent experience renting a trailer at the U-Haul location on 1650 El Camino. Mariah was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and guiding me through the rental process with ease. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Elvester also went above and beyond by helping me hook up the trailer and doing so with a great attitude. Their teamwork and dedication to customer service truly stood out. I’m extremely happy with my experience and will definitely continue bringing my business to this location. Great job, team!

All was well…my only complaint was the gas prices…. To fill back up the tank….before returning…..

When I picked up the uhaul, it was a little over 1/2 a tank. I drove 20 miles. The paperwork said to get it back to where it was, I should put in 2.3 gallons. I put in a little over 3 gallons which put the needle a little over 1/2, back to where it was. I was charged $13 for a fuel charge, I didn’t see how. When I got home and looked online for my receipt, the employee put down it was at 1/2 a tank which it was not. I feel this is a scam. I should have questioned it and demanded to look at the paperwork there, but I was not given anything. It’s all online now. I didn’t move that much weight to have that poor mpg. I feel this is a scam by them to get more money.

Great experience coming and going. We had reserved at another location but they couldn’t fulfill our request. I hadn’t realized our p/u location had been changed. I was so grateful this location had called to let me know we would be there not where I originally made reservations. The gal was so nice and helpful. It was a pleasure doing business there.

Getting my U-Box took about 10 days AFTER arrival at this facility. Poor communication at all facilities across U.S.; Young inexperiened staff, not trying to be helpful. Box put on backwards in MI.

The facility staff was fantastic, but delivery was a nightmare.The delivery was more than 8 hours late without notice.The boxes were too low so the doors didn’t clear the ramp.Pickup was 3 days late.
