I was given a truck with multiple safety dashboard warnings, a spare tire in use, and body damage from prior user w/o inspection after my card was charged. The morning after turn in I was contacted concerning the damage to the truck. That I might be charged accountable. I reminded them to check with the prior user who used the spare where the damage was and don't blame me. DONT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME AS A WOMAN. I AM A VETERAN whose driven Petroleum hazmat tanker! I didn't damage your little pick up truck, respectfully! I also reminded them that a inspection happens before and after usage and/or payment. I advised him to get with the salesmen who rented me the vehicle and protecting the customer that had the accident( who obviously didn't pay for the protection) prior to my reservation. WATCH OUT! BEWARE

RICHARD LCustomer service was poor - guy in a tattered hoodie mumbling that they didn't have the truck they reserved, leaving for 5 minutes, then coming back to say "I didn't do my job right" and they do have it, then disappearing, saying they don't have the dolly I reserved. Gave me the keys, no walkaround or instructions, then forgot to put in the alternative dolly I said I'd wanted. The truck was fine, the customer service, not great.
GREGORY BI was really disappointed with my experience. First, they charged me a $100 “deposit” without any explanation of what it covered. If the point is liability, everyone knows a hundred dollars wouldn’t cover real damage, so it just feels like a hidden extra fee. On top of that, the vehicles were not properly inspected. The first truck they tried to give me had a flat tire, which the staff didn’t even catch. The second truck I was given had an alignment issue that caused it to pull hard to the right for the entire drive to another state. Driving a fully loaded moving truck in those conditions was not only stressful but also unsafe. It’s frustrating that a company of this size doesn’t make basic pre-checks standard. Customers should be able to trust that their rental is safe and ready to drive — especially for long hauls.
BRETT SI really didn't want to rent a truck from Uhaul because last time I have been lied to from traffic and plus I got a truck that had a full tank of gas and than they switched me with a truck that was almost empty the only reason why I rented a truck from Uhaul is because Penske doesn't allow you to return a truck In the same State but now since I have my own box truck I don't have to rent a truck again

Michael HMy only complaint was that I asked the employee at the desk what the return procedures were and they basically said to drive the van to the designated area. There was no conversation about doing the return process pictures and procedures. Clearly they must have thought I was only asking on *where* to return the van and not what I asked. Its a small thing but still. Otherwise the location was clean and easy to get to.

KARU WThe truck had no shocks and was very bumpy, it let off lots of exhaust and rattled down the road. It was in very poor driving condition. They did not tell me I would be charged over $5.00 per gallon for gas and did not suggest I may want to fill it up prior to return even though I drove 20 miles only. I could have filled it up a couple blocks away for $3.49 a gallon had I known. It was in the fine print, but a courtesy reminder would have been helpful. I ended up paying almost $100 instead of the $70 I though I was paying even though I got a $29.99 truck. Too many additional costs are added and inflated as well.

ANTHONY AService was great, and the staff was helpful and accommodating. Only issues were the cab of the truck need cleaning, and also it smelled really bad, I believe, because the windows were left slightly open after it had rained. There was also an issue with returning the truck, my return hadn't been processed until the end of the day, leaving me to worry that it would appear as if I had returned it late or not at all, when in actuality it was returned two hours before my limit. I had to speak with a Uhaul rep to confirm that the staff would complete my reservation and that I wouldn't be charged. Both were not negative experiences, certainly need for improvement though. Overall good experience.

CARRIE JThe advertisement of the rental is misleading and there is way too many fees taxed on from the original 19.99 to rent. I expected 19.99 and maybe 10 for miles but then there’s coverage of 15 for just in case, the gas replacement and a bunch of other fees to around $90. Pretty dog water, i’d prefer all the fees are added to the advertising price and not be subjected to 8 pages of “do you want to buy more” before checking out with like 5 fees.

STEPHEN WI signed up with a clear price in mind, and on the U-Haul website. The pickup I used for 7 hours had very expensive mileage charges. I drove less than 50 miles and my rental price went up by 3x what I was quoted online. Why lie on your website? Don’t push a cheap rental when it’s actually a bad deal.

Christine BI walked into the store and the agent was on his phone, texting someone, he treated me and like I was dirt, beyond rude and offensive, he never stopped texting someone while he was helping me, he left the counter walked about ten feet away and chatted with someone about a party that night, then came back to me to finish checking out the truck. I never said anything to him, but it was the worst experience ever, he was flat out rude to me with every question, awful day.

ERIC HGreat experience with the staff here. There was dog hair in the van when I picked it up, but everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. They quickly cleaned up the dog hair on the driver/passenger seats and blew out the back of the van as well. Really appreciated the interaction and help!

TIMOTHY HI was not advised verbally to check out with photos and so didn’t see the twist until at the gas station. I was unable to do so because obstacles blocked line of sight. I got a new link but still could not and, thinking back, could not have taken photos at u-haul for the same reason.

I’ve rented probably 50-60 cars & never had to go through so much nonsense & picture taking. You should tell people to allow tons of time before the rental for this or not start the actual rental until the final page is filled out in the online process-crazy! Also wish you’d just charge more for the base price the rental instead of nickel & diming on the mileage-will just get a truck from enterprise next time-I could have had a truck for 2 days & unlimited mileage for the same cost as your vehicle for 6 hours.
