My first 10" truck had the TPMS light come on when I drove out of the lot. I drove back in and told the person working at the store. I was reassured that the light was just faulty and the tires had been checked out already. I gave feedback at the time that the store shouldn't put into service a truck that has a warning light present on the dashboard - especially to the general public who is taking the risk of driving a vehicle that might not be ready to drive. The light should be fixed. Sensors replaced, tire replaced etc. Anyway - I went back outside, got my own tire pressure monitor from my car and checked all four truck tires. The left rear was found to have <50lbs of pressure. (Should be 80lbs). Slow leak? Nail in the tire? Who knows - but all the others were normal. I went back inside and reported this finding. The low pressure was indeed confirmed with the tire pressure gauge the employee had as well. We made the switch to a different truck which worked just fine. So... I'm glad I followed my gut and checked it out myself but I shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. The "faulty" sensor should have been heeded if already known about. And - the sensor worked as it was supposed to! Someone just didn't do anything to fix what was wrong.

Location was not the one I reserved. Got text 30 minutes before pickup time that location changed to this location. I was charged extra mileage because this location was not close to my move location. Very poor customer service for not crediting me for extra mileage caused by U-Haul.

I went to pick up the U-Haul truck that I reserved. I hired help to help with the move. When I got there, they said I couldn't rent anything from them. I asked why several times and wanted an explanation, but after going back and forth, they gave me the number to call. They said they could not tell me the reason. I then had to call, only to be on hold and wait over an hour to get a response back. Once I got connected with someone, they explained it wasn't my fault that it was a person named Molly who had hacked into my account and owed money, and the system was tied to my account. I didn't know a Molly and wasted nearly two hours trying to get a U-Haul truck. Had to spend the extra money on my hired help waiting around. The clerk at U-Haul then said yea, I see Molly's name connected to the account. When asked, she said she had seen nothing. Bad experience.

The employees I interacted with were all friendly and helpful; no complaints there. The truck I was given has seen better days but was up to the task. My two issues were: 1. The dolly was not bolted down. It was only "attached" by a thin green plastic strand intended to show whether it was used for the $7 upsell. That strand easily broke from the vehicle moving and I had to explain that I shouldn't be charged for dolly usage. Please have staff confirm that add-on items are properly secured. 2. Truck was very low on gas which meant I had to take time out of my day to stop for fueling. Please have staff make sure trucks are adequately fueled.

Test drive the trucks. Mine was jerky. The check-in and check-out process needs to be improved. The app takes a long time or doesn't work. This cut into my rental time.

I paid for a dolly and 6 blankets. Neither of them were in the truck. I was still charged $7.00 for the missing dolly and $5.00 for the missing blankets. I submitted pictures of the empty truck when I was checking in (before leaving the lot). At this location you should second guess renting additional equipment from them.

U can make sure that the fuel level they mark on the contract is accurate. Mine was not and although I put gas in the truck and returned it to the level it was when I started out I was charged an additional $9.38 for 2 gallons of gas

Getting charged for “taxes” in Oregon is absolute BS. This location does not have enough employees to handle the volume they do. They do not properly place vehicle in the designated pick up locations. I will not be renting from that Uhaul or any Uhaul in the city of Portland ever again. Charging a fee for me to drop it off at another Uhaul location closer to my home, so I don’t have to get further tipped off from your mileage fees is also BS. Absolutely the most overpriced experience I have ever had in my 40 years of dealing with your company.

Truck was given to me stating it was half full and was only a quarter full of gas. I rented this truck for 3 hours and thus should have the full 3 hours to return it. My phone was getting blown up by staff at 2:30 while I was driving back to u haul for my 3pm drop off. I got to the drop off exactly at 3p like I signed up for online. Expecting a rental back a half hour earlier than the online listed time slot I selected is a poor policy. This whole exchange was irritating and I won't be doing it again if I can help it. the staff themselves were kind, I blame u-hauls preference for maximizing bookings over customer satisfaction. would not recommend this to anyone.

The Uhaul had a tire pressure indicator on the dash. I called support and they said it will probably turn off later. It went away after about 20 minutes. I also couldn't find the key to the lock for the cargo bay.

I believe there’s only one employee to man this location, which is fairly large, maybe more staff would help speed up service. Not sure they can keep up with all the sales, service & repair needs of the rental vehicles. That said, this location’s lone employee does an admirable job with customer service.

Having an expedited line, or self check in process, for returns would help not only the customer, who is finishing up what was likely physically demanding work moving, but would help the shop with quick turn over- It was busy when I was there and I was standing in line waiting to check in for return, listening to them say to someone at the head of the line that they didn't have a 10 foot truck, and if I hadn't shouted out that I was returning a truck, those people may have left and it wouldn't have been turned into more business.

Everyone who works at this location was great. Only frustrating experience was the system being down, so it took much more time and work to get me checked in. Again, each employee was super helpful and apologetic, I just wish the tech was running appropriately.

This location managed to accommodate a last-minute change in reservation (made at another location) and got me on the road in record time. False advertising for sure. The mileage charges is the biggest scam. It cost more to drive 28 miles than the actual fee of $29.95. It ended up costing me $105 when they advertise it being only 29.95 And that's even after I paid for my own gas on the promise that I could get it even cheaper. I will never use you all again for anything. You ought to be ashamed of yourselves!!
