I returned the rented equipment within a few hours and this service center "forgot to check my rental back in. This oversight on their part, caused them to charge me three times for the equipment, not to mention their computer system going down. I was very upset that the personnel responsible for checking in returned equipment was evidently incompetent as to the proper procedure to alleviate this problem. I feel in the future, If I choose to do so, I will make damn sure the system is up and running properly, as well as, physically watching the service tech receive and check in my returned equipment, otherwise I think in the future I will look into a different rental company.

Jackie WI needed a trailer to haul a riding mower that I measured to be 44 inches wide. Looking at the website, I selected a 4' x 7' trailer, that I presumed would be large enough. After all, four feet equals 48 inches! True everywhere in the world EXCEPT at U-haul. After enduring the painful process at the counter, I get the trailer home (18 miles away) only to discover that it's only 40 inches wide! Nothing to do but immediately go back to U-haul and get the next size trailer. Thankfully a young lady named Toi was super helpful in getting the trailer swapped out for a 5' x '8 trailer. I made mention at the counter that the cost of the first trailer should be credited towards the rental of the second trailer. The next day I look at my charges and it appears I've been charged for both trailers! BACK to U-haul a third time and now I'm in front of Jake, who I believe is the branch manager. Jake must have had a bad night last night because he wasn't friendly, and he certainly didn't express any remorse that his organization was making my life more difficult. He seemed to want to argue with me, even though I never raised my voice, cursed or in any way made a scene. His did point out I wasn't charged for both trailers, but instead the over billing came from the error of charging for me a second day's rental - which was completely absurd since my entire episode was completed within 4.5 hours on the same day. He handed me a credit for the overbilling without so much as a 'sorry bout that" or anything. Perhaps Jake needs to find employment where he isn't dealing with the public. Going forward I will take my equipment rental needs elsewhere!

SHANA SI had to provide references to check into my rental which caused me to be late and was extremely inconvenient. The U-Haul app charged me the wrong amount so I had to speak to an associate to fix the problem. The associate informed me that the truck I reserved wasn’t available so she gave me a different one of the same size. It didn’t have the rental equipment that I requested, so I had to go back into the store a second time and request that I get the utility dolly I paid for. Then, when doing the check-in process, the associate sent me an incorrect check in link that was associated with a different truck’s license plate, so I had to go back into the store for a third time. The staff had no sense of urgency whatsoever and stopped helping me multiple times to help other staff members or customers despite me being in front of them at the counter. All in all, an absolutely horrible experience that took me nearly an hour to just get out of the lot, despite pre-booking.
Nicholas MExplanation of return process was not very clear. I asked if we could return after hours. He said "probably", but we would need to call to make sure--seems like he could have confirmed for us. He did not explain that we needed to use the mobile app for after hours check in. I appreciate the refund of the after-hours-no-app charge, though.

JESUS GI ordered a cargo van, weeks in advance. My pick up location changed, no big deal. I went to the location, no van. I was sent to a 3rd location...no van. I had to call around and fine my own....4th location finally a van. WTF

JEFFREY CThe customer service and everything was excellent but the vehicle I had a rough night vehicle cut off had to get a battery put in and then it wasn’t even drivable for an hour. My suggestion needs a little more maintenance work on the vehicles.

JUAN VThey gave out the truck I had already paid for and reserved. They were sitting around talking about “just smile” while on the phone with another store. The guy found a truck after 30 minutes of being in the store. It was not clean and the girl said “I personally checked this so make sure it’s back to where I put it”. The other lady sitting down was playing music so loud on her phone it was hard to hear anything. I will never go to uhaul again. I’ll go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and rent a truck there.

GLEN SThe only thing I suggest is that they should be clear on the renting hours of a vehicle. I assumed that it goes for 24 hours and I was called to return the vehicle way before 24 hours came up. Other than that, the customer service and everything else is excellent. Thank you.
FRANK DTook over an hour to pick up the trailer that was reserved for 11:30 AM. Some people ahead of me had been waiting for over 2 hours. There was only one person manning the desk and had limited experience (she was doing her best for sure). Trailer was old and had not been clean of debris and had cobwebs (did not care myself, but you are asking and I am telling).
Jesus Git was a brand new truck but the passenger side truck slid around making it useless and unsafe. I would put it in place, first bump and it slid to looking down at the road.

JUAN RPlease keep in mind, this overall experience was not good. The location I was first told to pick up a truck from - had no trucks at all, and offered no help at all. So, I called the number provided, and they searched for another location that supposedly had the truck size I had requested. They did not have the truck size I requested. So, installed of running to another location I rented the only truck they had which was smaller than I needed. But, the staff at this location is fantastic. I listened to the one lady work with people on the phone, and she was amazing. The lady that helped me was very understanding and apologetic and very nice.
