It was repeated to bring the vehicle back with a full tank so much that I didn't even remember the quick statement of "if the gas is syphoned off bring it back at whatever level you find it." Called that UHaul locations # immediately upon leaving lot & noticing, but couldn't get through to office so was automatically patched to a larger regional call center. Explained situation about gas level being not full, they comment on gas syphoning, asked should i refill it, and also asked if i should turn around??? The associate assured me that a photo of leaving gas level would be just fine to be able to easily settle up costs upon return, but did not instruct me to not fill up vehicle tank upon return as had been stressed upon pick up. Fast forward, so upon return the counter attendant immediately said they didn't know how to check me out & they would not refund me the gas I put in the tank their vehicles for them. I calmly explained I had called immediately to try to proactively prevent this type of checkout situation and was assured by Uhaul Rep that cost differences would be all easily worked out at check out AND now they are hard lining they will not pay for the gas i provided for their vehicle even though that is how each vehicle is supposed to leave the lot....So by being a good respectful customer the customer gets screwed...not all confidence inducing business practices.

This business made return easy and quick. How3ver uhauls computer program gave me other return location options which would not accept a trailer, only trucks. I ran around town an extra hour because that info was not displayed on their on line system.. two strikes against uhaul on line system.

BRENT SAgent at check-in said check gas because they get siphoned but it should be at half a tank. Van was below empty, went back in to try and figure out what to do because the warning light was on and it was beeping that gas was 'extremely low'. He said go to the gas station and just put gas in it and I would be reimbursed. Said I didn't feel comfortable and was worried about running out of fuel. Was given directions to closest gas station. I gave up and left and crossed my fingers that I'd make to the gas station, which I did - I put $40.00 into the tank which got me about half a tank. I finished up my errands and returned the van (no more than 9 miles total of driving). They said I'd only get reimbursed for 1/4 tank of gas - maybe $27.00 dollars when the gas was $40 and still showing at the half tank level. Makes me rethinking begging family for help and wading through familial drama and embarrassment next time I need to move something.

JEFFERY LMaybe check the battery before sending someone out with one from 2019, like you just did to me. Corroded all over, I took pics. Cost me an hour. Was late to pick up my daughter from camp and wrenched my whole day.. You could have avoided this by checking the battery, Imagine if that had gone out as a one-way. You screwed me renting it to me, and I saved your asses because I waited for a tow company to change the battery so when the one -way rental came up this afternoon, at least they were spared this headache. But guess what? My time is valuable too. Also you would not send me in a 20 foot truck that was right there on Thursday when it was convenient for me, because you said it's against policy to send a truck for a local mission that is supposed to a one-way truck. I promised I would bring it in the morning but your manager did not care,. He kept telling me he cared about his job and couldn't do it. This also wasted an hour of my time, forcing me to take a 10-foot truck and not be able to finish the job. I left pissed because I had the 10 foot truck 45 minutes ago, and was told it would be no problem to change. 5 deep in line and then the manager won't help me at all when I get to front. Which is the whole reason I had to rent again Monday. On Monday of course you had a 20-foot truck for me which you checked in. but then said the system wouldn't let you check it out. Every tiem I go here it's 30 minutes in line, trucks checked in but ne keys, or you don't know where they are. Then I was put into a one-way truck, cause I guess that rule only matters for when it's convenient for you. Then instead of getting a gas credit to make up for Thursday that I was offered in the truck that couldn't be rented out, I was given no gas credit, a truck with a bum battery, and you didn't even.bother to out the gas cap back on which I noticed in the morning. Results: I had 2 rentals instead of one About 3 hours if my time wasted. Extra 4 days rent because I couldn't get out of my office space Thursday night Extra 3 hours of labor I had to pay on Monday at a higher rate than Thursday F Minus
Benjamin AI had included a dolly in my rental, it was not in the Uhaul truck and I was not told I needed to load the item myself. I was still charged for the item, even though I included this information in my check out process. I still would rent from this location again as it was easy, clean, safe and convenient and everything I needed for my local move.

It was a full hour, with only one person ahead of me (who was at the check out point when I get there) to get a uhaul. I didn't have an hour to spare, so this was a Huge inconvenience for me. The guy the next day was great; knew exactly what he was doing and didn't waste any time while still being friendly and professional. So it evens out.

AARON TI got the trailer I needed same day, which was nice. It was clean and worked well. The customer service is pretty bad though. I was in the office for 8mins before anyone came to help me. 3 employees walked by me in that time and acted like I didn’t exist. I would like to say they were busy but they were just talking outside.

CYNTHIA DWhen making the reservation it was selected to a closer center to my home, but got moved to a different location 3 separate times each farther out which would cause me to pay more due to charge per mile. When asking about a possibility of a discount due to the changes. The person that I assume was the lead or manager was disrespectful and stated that I was lucky I was even getting a truck if not I would have to drive an hour away to get a truck. And driving by other center closer to my places had little to no traffic of people coming and going and a lot of trucks just park.

RICK MThe woman at the front desk had her McDonald's lunch in front of her and couldn't get the computer to work. So she ran my card, then took my card and typed it in (saying the computer wouldn't work), then when I saw the computer had responded, it left open my charge and account, without my signature being used. Overall, it just seemed super sloppy and reckless, and with my CC information being floated around carelessly. Now I feel like I need to keep checking my card to make sure there wasn't any fraudulent use. Also, the area where the truck was kept was really sketchy, with the fence cut open directly behind the truck, and the gas cap hanging off of it. The clerk said I should check the gas levels, because of rampant siphoning of the trucks. It just wasn't a good user experience from top to bottom. And the truck had difficulty starting.

PHILIP MIt was my first time using the app and online services at U-Haul. The app at first was a little cumbersome I'm not going to lie but I got the hang of it was able to take the photos that were required and complete the transaction when I returned my vehicle the only problem is I had to get help from the desk to get started. Perhaps somehow and I don't know how improving the app to be more user friendly. Overall my experience with the u-haul yet U-Haul app and the customer service during this rental period was was above average even excellent in some moments thank you

Scot CWhile the one guy was answering long phone calls, and had two people waiting, the General Manager wandered in to let him know she was leaving on an errand. The price was double what I had been quoted via the website, so figured it was just a deposit. It was not you just didn't tell me the mileage charge. $19.95 in town turned into $70 for 3 hours and a trip across town. It took 20 minutes to even be able to talk to the guy to claim my reservation. Then there's so much red tape, and I wasn't told there was a text check in component so missed that. Then I was blocked in and had to wait for that 1 guy who by then had a line of 4 people to go move stuff. What a joke of management. The clerk was doing the best he could but was not being set up to succeed.

DAWN FWhen I picked the truck up, key was supposed to be in the lock box for self pickup and it was not, so I had to wait to be helped inside. Had ordered packing blankets and they had none in the bags, so was told to just grab some. Did have assistance from one of the staff carrying them to the truck. As I was getting in the truck, staff member informed me that I’d better get gas, and at the closest location (711) as the truck was on empty. The gas gage was literally under the ‘E’ but made it to the station. Don’t appreciate picking up a truck that has zero gas and being forced to do that immediately. Not knowing how much to put in, I ended up putting in to much and returning the truck with about a quarter tank. The trucks should be maintained better and not be provided to clients empty - at least go put something in, if the last client returned in that condition.

RONALD PThe girl at the register clearly didn’t want to be there and was not shy about showing it. I don’t think she ever made eye contact with me. The guy who hooked up the trailer asked me if he was “supposed to help me hook it up or what?” I assumed you guys had to hook it up to make sure it was done correctly and the brake lights and indicators worked. It was probably the least welcome I’ve ever felt at a U-Haul rental.

TERRI SMy first recommendation would be to put up a chain-link fence around the entire facility as it’s located in the bad part of town, the first truck we were assigned to was missing the bolts on the catalytic converter so it was not an option, the second truck that we got was filthy. Dirty could barely see through the windshield, there was a crack pipe a gas can feces on the passenger side on the ground not to mention the gas was siphoned out of the vehicle the night before, so the truck was on empty, the employees at this yard did not want to fill it up, clean it or nothing, it was all left up to us if we wanted the truck! very unprofessional!! shameful U-Haul you used to be much better than this!!!
