The SITE sucks as it is way too small, but staff can't do anything about that. Overall the experience renting is always great and staff are competent and friendly and helpful -- can't say enough good there! It's just the parking lot is soooo tiny. My van had some weird leak at the back left that left some kind of liquid on the floor. I am hypersensitive to petrochemicals, varnishes, rubbing alcohol, etc, and was made ill by the smell, but the manager could not smell anything, which was not a surprise. Overall the experience was good as usual and management and staff super.

make sure the equipment is set up in different locations for smoother pickup and drop off. It was bottlenecked when we picked up and was hard to pick up our equipment.

I still don't understand why it gives me the option to pick up my truck from one location and then someone calls or I just receive a notice that changes my pick up location. If a place can't house a certain size truck, shouldn't that exclude it from the options? I was also frustrated by the rates and miles. My first quote was $116 and then when I picked up the truck it jumped to around $130. I understand that fees are associated with it, but why not include that in the original quote? I'd rather have it potentially high and go down than low and go up. The miles, the odometer apparently said I went over the miles (i don't know what the beginning milage was) but when I mapped my trip out (every stop of it) it still showed me within my miles. I don't know who's right, but I do appreciate that they decided not to charge me for them.

We rented/paid for a dolly, which was not provided in the truck (as they told us it was) so when we went to pick up our things in Cottage Grove, we had to drive out of our way to another Uhaul location to get the dolly from them. This added another 10 miles to our trip (which we ultimately paid for in additional mileage), plus an extra 30 minutes of our time dealing with the back and forth. Very frustrating!

The employee at this store told me I could return the vehicle before midnight. I returned it at around 11:30 pm, but I got charged twice. My receipt shows the return time is 6:58 am on the next day. It doesn't make any sense to me. The return time is just two minutes before your opening time? Then why didn't you tell me about this?

It took An extremely long time (45 min) just to pick up blankets and a dolly. There should be a separate checkout space For those grab and go items.

We actually picked up our truck and trailer from Mike’s Bargain Center in Eugene (2454 Oregon Hwy 99 N) and Mike was so nice and he set us up so well. He also called a few days ahead to confirm, which was nice because our reservation had been moved to his location. Our car had a low bumper so he cut us scrap pieces of wood so our car would be able to clear the front. He made the experience so much nicer and was so helpful and good person. Uhaul is lucky to have him as an authorized dealer.

Workers are always sarcastic and upset. Usually not more then 1 person working at a time if your lucky there might be 2. They clearly are frustrated with the high volume and need more assistance, which also goes into the way they speak to the consumer. The drop off was very hard to understand. We were evidently supposed to go to a site and log in because it was after hours. We tried several times to do this and log in the info, however we had so much trouble, we just put the keys in the box. This is how we have always done it in the past. Otherwise, our experience with staff and the rental center was excellent.

The truck had been previously damaged and had the possibility of leaking if it was exposed to the elements. It had a hand written note stating the damage on the back of the rental agreement that was not pointed out by Chris Dunn GM at the time of my rental. He knew I was storing the household moving items for the entire 20 days in Eugene, Oregon and was likely to encounter rain and therefore damage my contents. Chris Dunn was rude and I believe he intentionally rented me a 14' truck with over 100K miles with heavy body and ceiling damage. Why was he upset and question that I needed the truck more than 14 days? He said he had other people who needed to rent the truck. He showed me the truck and asked me to mark any visible damage on the contract agreement and then told me I was unpleasant to work with because I did not understand how I could mark the entire picture of the truck....bumpers, doors, sides, tires and wheels all had damage! When I returned the truck everyone else at the location was pleasant and helpful. Chris Dunn is not pleasant and he is not helpful.

Overall things went well. There was a massive truck obscuring where I needed to turn to return my truck which made that interesting to spot (the road is a one way, so not like I could just come at it from the other side to see better), though I don't know if that massive truck actually had anything to do with U-Haul. Thankfully, being a minute late from that was moot because it then took another 20 before someone came over to collect the vehicle from me anyway. Aside from the logistical hiccups of the location though, the truck I borrowed was very useful. The newer style speedometer is actually quite helpful in a vehicle where I don't just know which speeds feel like what, and the rear-view camera when reversing having a projection of how the vehicle will turn is something I wish were standard. I wish I had a better way to see where the truck is in relation to the ground it's on because I always felt like I was way over the line by the time I was anywhere near it, but I don't know any vehicles offering that at the moment so it's hard to really call that a negative.

The attendant seemed a bit overwhelmed. I showed up around 9:15-9:30 for a 9:00 reservation and there was a long line. I didn't leave the store until shortly after 10:00am. I overheard a discussion while waiting in line about how long the employee had been at that particular location, and it was disclosed that it had been 3months. Of course, we all have our off-days but it seems to me that the lack of care and attention that should go into making a store look nice (i.e., shelves stocked and ordered) was missing also in the training of this new(ish) employee.

There is no customer parking anywhere. They expect you to park across the street which is a BUSY 3-lane highway. So incredibly dangerous. The online reservation and chat feature were a joke. It showed me locations that were completely empty of equipment but were listed as having equipment. Once reserved, I never got the phone call within the "...one hour after reservation is made..." as stated to indicate that my pickup site had changed. The online site should have Other than that, the staff were very, very nice and the truck was a huge help.
