This is my second time renting from the 7th street location and both times have been excellent!! Staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Both times I reserved my U-Haul online beforehand which makes it quick and easy to pick up the truck. Drop off has also been quick and easy with this excellent staff here at this location. No complaints!!!

trailer lights quit working and then start working again

I was harassed and screamed at because I wanted to do a walk-around of my rental vehicle and record fuel and mileage before I returned the equipment. The attendant then started screaming at me and demanded I take my piece of shit vehicle and leave his lot for being difficult. I video recorded the whole interaction after he told me i was being difficult for wanting to verify my information. He then proceeded to leave my vehicle blocked in and made my son and I feel unsafe, so we exited the lot over a patch of grass and over the curb. I will be going to corporate, if this doesn't make it there. This video would look great on my social media account if something is not done! I do marketing for small businesses, and THAT is not how you treat a paying customer!

The workers need to do better... I returned the trailer the same day I rented it and got a call a couple days later asking when I was bringing it back. Witch I had already taken it back but the workers didn't scan it in like they should have. two different workers told me they would do it.

Nothing! The service was excellent and the dealer was very personable and helpful. I had had a bad experience with a UHaul rental years ago and swore I would never use UHaul again. My experience today was so good that I will recommend UHaul and this particular location to friends.

When someone orders dollys, blankets, etc make sure they are in the truck! I ordered a furniture dolly only to find it missing when I went to use it. Even though I called to report this, I was still charged!

The rental van that I received had 45 miles left on it, and I returned it with almost a half of tank of gas and they charged me 6 dollars more when I returned it. I should not have been charged more for returning the rental with more gas than when I got it.

I rented a 10 foot truck to transport a sofa bed roughly 2 miles round trip from a nearby storage locker to St Vincent Donation center around the corner from the U-Haul location. . (U-Haul location at 2150 W 7th in Eugene to Big Y storage at 90 N Highway 99 and then St Vincent donation Center at 888 Garfield and then back to the U-Haul location at 1083 Highway 99). Google maps estimates the total mileage for this trip was 2.2 Miles. I was told that the gas gauge was approximately at “half” and my $41 rental fee would include coverage for the first 5 miles. When I got into the truck I noticed the gas gauge was between 1/4 and 1/2. I was surprised to find the U-haul location collected not only the $41 originally estimated but also an additional $5 apparently because I did not drive an extra 3 miles to top off the gas gauge to 1/2.

We were told to park the trailer in a spot and we would get emailed a receipt. We dropped the trailer off at 130 ish in the afternoon the location was a little busy. We parked the trailer where instructed and after talking to 2 different employees (one was friendly offering to help us move the trailer and the othwr seemed stressed and angry) were told we were good to go. Come the next morning we get an after hours drop off charge. Now we were able to get it refunded it was still an extra hassle that should have easily been avoided.

My only thoughts are: -getting locking gas caps to stop people from stealing your fuel :-) -the driver's side mirror had no tension and could not maintain a position. We used duct tape to hold it but it should be looked at. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you.

Pickup was fine but I was assisted by a new worker who added extra optional things to my order. I didn’t worry too much about it so it was whatever. Returning was poor though. Guy didn’t help trying to unload and we ended up getting a flat tire from barely stepping on a tow coupling that was not fully in the parking spot, so it was protruding a little too much. The guy said they had no jacks to lend us so we had to wait for someone to bring us a jack we could use. Don’t know if it’s true that y’all didn’t have any jacks because y’all literally rent out trucks. Like, do any of the trucks not come with jacks? Anyways, waited and finally installed our spare. Told the guy if I needed to checkout on the app since the app was trying to charge me again and since I’ve already paid, I didn’t wanna get double charged. He said “don’t worry about it, I’ll mark it as returned on my phone and make sure you won’t get double charged” so I left. Bro did not marked it as returned so I had to go back the next day before the time I rented it out ran out. Don’t know the name of the guy but he was a shorter, black hair, black bearded man. Most unhelpful person ever.

The website could have been more helpful.I chose a U-Haul location but when I picked the vehicle I wanted the location automatically changed and I didn’t notice. So I started the day by going to the wrong location. I didn’t know that pickups weren’t available in all locations. When I returned the truck it had been swept and hosed down but not well enough. So I went to a car wash about a mile away. This was fair enough but it would have been nice if they offered the use of their hose. I was exhausted and it just took another half hour. Stopping to refill the gas is another inconvenience. I never understood why this can’t be added to the mileage charge. It just doesn’t seem like it’s set up for the customer’s convenience. The prices are better than the competition and the staff is fine. I just wouldn’t recommend renting a truck. Next time I’ll be exploring ways to have dirt and bark delivered.

T Jackson (i think that was his name? Trevor? Elderly fellow, dope beard, foot in a boot) was the helpful bloke who we dropped the truck off with. He was super friendly and helpful with the directions about what we needed to do for the return. 10/10. Also, the truck was clean, just had a cracked mirror and missing knob. Jackson said they had ordered replacements and made sure we knew we were not going to be charged for those previously known issues.

There is no parking on site, you must cross a busy street to access a parking lot. There has been at least two occasions where the gas in the vehicle was so low it was touch and go to get to the gas station that is only a few blocks away.

If there's something about a truck that a person who is driving it should know, perhaps you could TELL THEM in advance so they don't waste 2+ hours waiting for a mechanic just to learn it's a stupid thing with the truck, not a malfunction. The rude "child" (young woman) in the office has the personality of a small soap dish and an IQ to match. She was unpleasant when I called for help and very unfriendly to work with. The man who was there when I finally was able to return the truck was awesome, kind and very helpful (name of "Toker"). It's just delightful to know that U-Haul is still a pain in the arse after all these many years. I have yet in my 68 years to have an altogether great experience with U-Haul. They are like a necessary evil one cannot avoid. UGH!

The attendant was polite and everything but U HAUL did not come close to any customer service when the attendant forgot the dolly i had rented and we had just drove 150 to Springfield, then had to drive all the way to this location to get the size required for our move, which =was not close to the moving location.They said they would take care of the situation for us but in the end it was too bad drive your UHAUL ALL the way back and pick it up!!! I had hired workers for one hour here local to load it for me and it had already taken so long to go pick up the truck, I had to pay double what I was wanting to pay for help.

The truck was like a driving a tank - it needs a front end alignment, the drivers side lock looks like someone tried to break in and force the lock open prior to my use - so the key was difficult to use to unlock the door. The staff are wonderful, very kind and helpful. Love the location but did not like the truck at all.

Roger was very condescending and rude upon my returning the rental cargo van. I had accidentally filled the tank 1 click (1/12) above the 3/4 tank mark I left with when I rented the truck. So when I returned it I asked if I could get a few dollars credit off my total bill. He said no. I asked why and title him that one time prior when I rented from the Franklin Blvd location they credited me. He said they have no way to do that. I asked ”Are you sure? Because Franklin Blvd location did it once for me when that happened. Then he raised his voice and said “Well nobody asked you to fill it up extra!” I said, “I didn’t do it on purpose! It was an accident.” Long story short I said “Well you don’t have to be rude about it.” He said “Wrll you keep going in and on about it.” I said to him “I keep going on about it because I had to ask you multiple times if you could do me this favor and you didn’t reply at all. Not one word. For all I knew you didn’t hear me.” He said “I’m not being rude you are.” I said no sir. Negative. He mumbled some other things. I finally said let’s just complete the transaction and I’ll be on my way (I was waiting for a paper receipt which he was having issues printing out. He finally gave me my receipt and I left. But I feel he was extremely rude in how he handled the entire request. Not professional. I am a frequent renter of cargo vans and equipment from UHaul over the past 2 years and will continue to be because it’s for my business I rent the equipment each time. Not that that makes me special. But I don’t need to be condescended to and scolded saying “Nobody asked you to over fill the tank.” As if I’m some petulant child acting up. That was rally an over the top reaction by Roger. He finally did apologize (kind of) but had a sneer on his face when he said it so I didn’t really Take his apology too seriously. I just feel he could have been a lot more professional. He could have answered me the first time I asked and I wouldn’t have had to repeat the request. He could have been professional but chose to be rude about it. I was kind of shocked actually. There was no reason to escalate things on me simply for asking that request. He could have just said “I’m sorry but as much as we would like to we can’t.” Or something to that effect. But to berate me and say “Nobody asked you to overfill the tank.” That was really rude. I’ve never had a UHaul employee at other locations tr at me rude like that. And i rent equipment multiple times a month and year each business year. Maybe Roger needs some interpersonal people skills training. Just a thought. I will keep renting from UHaul but will probably avoid the W. 7th location in the future if Roger is working when I have to rent the equipment. Which is a shame. It shouldn’t have to be like this. No excuse for not being professional.
