PATRICK MProcess my bill right away when I come to drop off the equipment, I was proposed to receive my bill by email, I accepted and left. Then next morning I received my bill with a 20$ surcharge for dropping off the equipment after operating hours..?!? I dropped the equipment more than 3 hours before closing time, this is bad service and bad organization on your end. Why didn’t I go back to request a correction? Because last time I went back for being charged unjustified cleaning fees, I was told I would see the credit about 7 days later on my credit card bill, but it never came, and 8 days later when I went back again, the manager didn’t remember me. So yeah next time, I will insist on getting my bill right away.
JULIEN DStaff was helpful half the time and certainly not friendly. I often had to wait quite a bit before getting assistance and on top of that, advising them of a new credit card number or that my unit had been emptied was completely useless - because they NEVER take note of what you're telling them. My old credit card was charged anyway 10 days after my call, and I was charged for another month 3 weeks after my unit was emptied even though I had told 3 different guys " Unit 3144 is now empty guys, please make sure to update my account. I don't want to be charged another month." How is it that 3 weeks later nobody knew my unit was empty ????? It's just a terribly poor service and maybe other people would've wanted to rent it ! Never again !

Ann TLors du retour de l’équipement, il est indiqué de se diriger à l’arrière du bâtiment pour y laisser l’équipement. Le problème est que nous devons ensuite revenir à l’avant du bâtiment (à la réception) pour ensuite retourner à l’arrière avec un employé pour y effectuer l’inspection de l’équipement pour ensuite revenir à l’avant (à la réception) pour finaliser le tout. Ça fait beaucoup d’aller/retour et donc beaucoup de marche 😏 Pourriez-vous effectuer le tout directement à l’arrière au moment du retour de l’équipement?

GUY LThe store is doing some construction and there is no indications about where to get in as side from pick up truck in the entry lane way and no signs or instructions sent by internet. The service is great but there is no attention paid to the confusion caused by the construction.

IYAD AI really wish there would be a trusted customer fast track to repetitively rent as I do with trailers. Here is my average experience: 1- I reserve online in advance 2- Go through the pre-registration for faster processing 3- Walk in the store at the scheduled time 4- One customer is being served at the only opened counter 5- If lucky i'm next in line 6- Sometimes the phone rings and somehow that customer cuts the line ahead of me standing in the store 7- I can see one or two more agent moving around not looking that busy but not opening another counter to let me through 8- After 20-30 minutes I get to finally drive off 9- Coming back I must again wait for an agent to clear my return taking another 20-30 minutes Much room for improvement!

We have booked a van for commercial use and we specifically asked the contract to be under the company name. we gave them all the company details, but, when returning the Van, they said they cannot do it and created the contract under a personal name. We escalated the issue to the manager and he said "what has been done is done, I cannot change it" Now we are stuck with a contract under apersonal name that we cannot claim for commercial use. We need to add the company name on the contract

KARMINDER SI was not satisfied with my experience with this location. The trailer I received was damaged. Though already aware …. The license plate is completely peeled which is illegal. And when I brought the trailer back I swept it but I could not rince it off and just because of it not being rinces off with water I was charged 15$ which is totally unacceptable. Anyway I paid it anyway but am not impressed

DEMETRE C | Overall ExperienceThe representative that made the sign-in didn't tell me that I'm going to receive a SMS with more instructions to register and take pictures of the trailer. When I saw the message it was too late and we were already starting to load the equipment. The immatriculation plate was almost entirely erased so we could have gotten a ticket. One of the tire on the trailer was completely flat. We had to stop to inflate them. There was some gypsum left in the trailer from the previous customer.

ANASTASIOS HThe gas was again at 1/4 the agent didn’t have the right info in the computer. Someone didn’t check in the truck properly from the previous customer. The mileage was wrong on the computer as well as my contract, but i always take a picture of the mileage & gas level before leaving, as well as on returning the truck. Mileage on the contract said 111792. On the truck before leaving was 111902 (picture taken) thank God I did this cause otherwise I would have been charged for this!!!! Also the gas said 3/8. On the contract, It wasn’t it was 1/4 I should have been given a rebate for this screw up had to wait in line to have the agent figure all this out. I’ve had a storage locker there for 6 months & rented 2 trucks in the past 2 wks. I asked for a deduction on the bill, they said NO……

Serge C | Overall ExperienceI originally was scheduled to rent from a location much closer to us, but for some unknown reason it got changed to the farther one. The truck's right-side mirrors were wrongly adjusted, so that it was almost impossible to see on that side. The check engine light went on 30 miles into the trip and remained on the entire time. There was a pronounced shimmy in the steering wheel at certain speeds, suggesting one or more wheels were unbalanced.

TORALT HWould have been nice if the gas was full. Received the truck with 1/4 gas in it. It’s hard to estimate how much to put in to return it at the same gas level. But otherwise was very satisfied with the service I received. Great team work! Thanks again.

JEAN FI have many things to say: This was an online booking: 1. The app needs to be improved. Took me more than 1.5 hours to complete all the steps, and to wait for the validation calls. It asked me to capture the same info more than three times. (It's awful) 2. I had to remove A LOT ( and a LOT) of snow from the sides and the front ot the truck because it was burried at the parking lot. I spent 30 min cleaning just to open the door. 3. The Mirrows were frozen and with ice. They were not moving at all. I had to de-iced them 4. The lock to get the keys was frozen and I had to hit it a couple of times to open it. 5. More lighting is needed in that area because very difficult to see the letters of the lock to put the pwd. 6. All the windows of the truck full of dirt. I had to clean them. 7. Positive, the return process took me 5 min because i decided not to use the app. Delivered to the agent on site. Definitely I will not use this service again. I will go with Home Depot, Enterprise or Rona I had rentals with them in the past and never had issues.

JOSEPH Lwhen I got my truck it said it needed tire service immediately. drove the van to its destination and saw that it had a flat tire the whole time. we had to put air in it and that took away from the time that I rented. then driving down the highway in snow, the wiper fluid runs out. we can’t see through the windshield to drive at all. i expect for a van to be ready to drive and have no issues when i am paying money to for it. i tried to explain it to the worker when i turned it in and he couldn’t understand english.

One of them was emptied on September 29 and I was billed for the delay for the month of October when I had already left. I pointed out the problem and was told someone would call me back and I'm still waiting for that call. Also, no one at the rental mentioned that I had to notify them when I was leaving. Knowing that someone comes by every day to check the units to see which ones are overdue, it was normal for me to believe that this person had seen that we had emptied this unit. It's a question of $15. It's not for that amount, but for the principle of not being charged when I shouldn't be.

It was extremely difficult to use the facility to load things into my unit because there are like 2 trollies for the whole building. I ended up hurting myself carrying my belongings because I couldn't use a trolly. There was half a dead mouse in the hallway on the way to my unit. I tried to access it the following day and uhaul had locked me out of it and has yet to provide me with communication as to why it is inaccessible.

First, it was a little confusing during the move-in as the staff present then seemed not to be very experienced and took awhile to process the paperwork & figure out the associated charges. Second, on my final visit to remove my belongings my access code did not work for some reason even though my account balance was fully paid up ???

That’s aid I paid over $150 for a storage unit and they took out my item without asking me and did not reply to my emails regarding this.

For one thing, the reservation we made for the truck to transport our items to their "final" destination was switched from the rental place in Laval to the one on Brunswick in DDO reason being apparently because the return location was in St-Hubert. It did not make sense to us as our items were warehoused in Laval!! When we asked if they would take responsibility for the extra KM's to drive back to Laval to pick up our items, they said no. They finally change the location to pick up the truck to Laval. Blankets to cover items were wet as they had been put on the floor. Floors were a bit slippery as it was covered with water. All in all, a good experience except for those few issues.

Patrice P | Overall ExperienceMy only complaint about the time we had this locker was there were 3 instances where we could not reach our locker. 1st instance - the elevator was broken for nearly 1 week. 2nd instance (10/17/2023)- the floor immediately in front of our unit had been resurfaced. We could reach the floor but not out unit 2110. 3rd instance (10/19/2023) - 2 days before moving out, the floor in front of the elevator at the 2nd floor was being resurfaced. In this case, we had rented a truck and hired staff to help transport our equipment. We needed to reschedule and rent a 2nd truck and pay additional hours to the staff. In all 3 instances, it would have been appreciated if some communication to locker tenants so we could have made our plans accordingly. We understand that maintenance is important, and we can see by the premises that it is well maintained. It is simply the lack of communication that led to our frustrations. The remainder of our stay was excellent.

At the last moment we had to rent a locker in Laval and beg the moving truck to take our furniture. This causes tremendous stress. U-haul was prepared to send us home with nowhere to store a truck full of our belongings. Absolutely horrible service! I will never use your services again!

Ensuitre quand je suis arriver sur place on ma dit que la raison du 10$ de difference c'est a cause qu'il y a un beam en plein milieu de l'uniter donc rend les chose plus difficile pour entré le materiel. J'ai donc louer un entreposage 5x10 sans beam a 144$ pour etre certain de ne pas perdre de temps vu que mon déménagement continuais sans moi pendant que j'entreposais le restant de mes chose. Pour me rendre compte apres 2 frigo et une laveuse et secheuse que l'uniter avait 4 x 9 et non 5x10 et donc que mes choses ne rentrerais pas .... fallu cherche qqun dautre et argumenter avec eux car les gens étais sceptique de mes propos malgré mon tape a mesure avec moi par la seul cause que l'uniter dans le system etais classer dans 5 x 10... il a fallu visiter 3 autre storage avant d'en trouver une sensiblement proche de la realiter de 4 pied 6 pouces .... que mes chose allait entrer a l'interieur ... c'est bien car je devais ABSOLUMENT entreposer mes choses a ce moment la et n'ayant plus de camion que jai du continuer malgré mon 2h de retard sur mon horaire... fausse representation, surtout apres mavoir montrer le demo dans l'entrer qui lui etais le SEUL qui faisait réellement 5x10

At the end of the workers shifts, one of your staff was driving the trucks to the lot at reckless speeds while people including myself were walking back and fourth to put stuff in storage. This same employee was also driving at reckless speeds in his personal car when he finished his shift through the area where customers walk in to put stuff in storage and was drifting on his way out of the lot. I was actually scared he was going to hit me because he swerved a little. I don’t know what his name is but he is the same guy who assisted me to get my unit at the counter. He has long hair and he is Arab. Possibly Lebanese but I’m not sure. I’ll be cancelling my storage unit and moving my stuff out for obvious reasons. If there are any cancellation speeds, They better be waved or we are going to have a problem.

Les employés sont totalement PERDU que ce soit au niveaux des informations donné a la réservation qu'à la location même. Réservé un trailer pour se faire rappeler et demander d'apporter des fillages de connections pour les feux arrière car ils manquent de produits suite à des non-retour. Feux arrière ne fonctionne pas sur PLUSIEURS remorques. Après 3 heures de total perte de temps a l'entrepôt nous avons abonné la réservation et ce faire rembourser. JE NE RECOMMANDE A PERSONNE DE PERDRE DU TEMPS AVEC EUX... EN PLUS DES PRIX EXORBITANTS.

We cannot have the storage room acces code directly online like for the truck and it is specified no where that we have to go in agency before acessing to the storage room for the first time. I thought the point of having a website was to be able to access to everything without need to go in agency. Marketing might want to review the on boarding process for the storage room. Also vendor need training, they do not know the online process. I asked to three different workers and none of them could respond to my questions. The app is working well on the browser but not as an android app. I would recommend it to a friend but not the online solutions you offer.

For example, if customer already emptied his unit, client could send online notification to manager or whoever responsible instead of running after a clerk and/or manager to follow up. We had to pay another month because the clerk failed to inform manager that we no longer need unit. This creates a lot of frustration. Besides that, it’s all good.

Le jeune homme qui a pris ma réservation n'a pas écouté quand j'ai fait ma réservation j'ai demandé un casier 5x7 pour gros electros le temps de remplir la réservation J'avais 2 déménageurs qui attendait à l'extérieur moyennant des $$$ une fois les papiers terminé et le temps de trouvé le casier le commis est arrivé pour me donner mon casier qu'elle surprise casier 5x7 avec porte de 4 pieds pas très utile pour 5 gros electros par conséquent perte de temps et d'argent pour refaire le changement de casier à un coût beaucoup plus élevé et espace perdu. J'ai remarqué le temps que j'étais au comptoir que 3 clients était insatisfait pour des raisons différentes 2 au comptoir et un au téléphone Je sais dû à la pandémie que les Entreprises sont en manquent d'employés mais peut-être prendre plus de temps pour les former. Malgré se désagrément je suis que convaincu que vous êtes tous dévoué à votre travaille. Juste une meilleure formation et plus d'écoute au besoin du client. J’ai dû remettre les boites dans mon auto et retourner à l’autre bout du bâtiment prendre un cadenas, retourner à l’arrière du bâtiment, ressortir les boites de mon auto et retourner au local avec mon cadenas. L’employé qui est venu ouvrir le local, n’était pas utile du tout. Na pas voulus aller chercher un cadenas pour m’aider, me l’laisser passer par la porte de service pour que je n’ai pas à faire le tour et parler affreusement le français. Pas sociable et plaisante.

This is my 3rd poor experience with U-Haul because of its systems problems. If you can't get that resolved you will loose a LOT of clients. I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone until you have this issue resolved.

We reserved a storage to have the free month but when we called to change the date, the agent over the phone told us the reservation was never done. We went back to speak to the same agent, he was able to give us the free month storage. We paid for the lock and we walked all th way to the back to see the locker and put the lock. It was raining a lot that day. When we got to the locker, we realized that the locker was locked so we had to walk all the way back in the rain to let the agent know. It was almost 7pm (closing time). If we wouldn’t have checked before closing time, we would’ve not been able to ask him to open the lock to access our locker. If the employee knew that he had to remove a lock before we could access the locker, why didn’t he advise us? He saw us going outside, he knew we wanted to go see it, so why didn’t he tell us that he needed to open the lock first? Very disappointed.

J'aurais une suggestion a vous faire au sujet des alarmes qui se font entendre quelque fois. Les clients ne se servent pas de leur carte d'accès de la bonne façon. Ils ne signifient pas leur présence, alors quand ils ouvrent leur unité, l'alarme se déclenche. Vous devriez leur expliquer un peu mieux le fonctionnement de la carte. Merci!

Recycling/exchanging area is a great, original idea!! Improvements needed: More chariots would be appreciated; most families need more than one when moving in, so when we arrived, no charriots were available for about 20 minutes. There is only one lift, so there was a small line-up: not too bad though, because the lift is quite large. Entering and exiting process is somewhat confusing - there is a risk of making the alarm go off or getting locked out if not operated properly: this needs to be improved (too much risk of false alarms and other errors). Recycling/exchanging area was closed, and we could not find any instructions on how to use it, either on site or on the web.

When I signed up for the storage I signed all the papers including the withdrawal from my bank account. I asked Mrs. Mine politely just to send me the invoices with the GST and PST which waas never done. When I came to cancel the storage yesterday the 29 of June 2020 I asked the person at the deest for all the invoices with GST and PST and he did it very politely for me. My accountant was after me to get these proper invoices. Why was it so difficult for Mrs Mine to do this for me? Some employees just don't care to serve the client properly.
