The place of rental was good and the truck was pretty much brand new. A 2025 model with less than 3k on it. Only gripe I’ve got is the price! I mean damn! Now if the price included fuel then maybe I could justify the price ….. somewhat but almost a $1000 for less than 500 miles and one way!? That’s a bit much. I mean I understand they got make money after the fact of the upkeep of the equipment but my goodness. Other than that no complaints.
SONNY AI believe that the customer should be given a 5 minute run down on operating the vehicle. for instance, I noticed that whenever starting the vehicle, the switch to engage towing automatically lights up. If not towing, this needs to be turned off as it is not needed at the time and can be damaging to the vehicle. Also, vehicles with cruise control is a plus. the 15 foot Ford did not have cruise.

MARC HPrices are deceiving with all of the fees and add ons. If I’m only paying $19.95 for the truck, I shouldn’t have to pay $15 EVERY DAY for protection. One time fee for that option.

WILLIAM HThe local U-Haul location was fine. My poor review was for use of app. Went 10 Miles and charged extra $8 for not putting it extra gas after use. I’m sure this was in the disclosures but if I would have checked in with an actual person I am sure they would have mentioned that.

TIMOTHY MCustomer Service Rep (Vanessa) was excellent. There were a few customers ahead of me and numerous phone calls throughout the time I was there. She didn't become irritated, over whelmed or flustered with all she had to deal with on her plate, as she was the only person there at that location to handle everything.(Customer questions, Rentals going out, phone calls and those customer questions and issues, and checking rentals in. Maybe have some kind of more automated phone system for calls coming while when they have customers in front of them that need the process explained for rental and drop service or if they need to help customers hook up to their vehicles.
CHANDRA SWas a GMC 10 Foot box truck. It drove and ran very well average mpg 13.2. As far as the cab. Very uncomfortable for a 6'2 and 6'4 people. No where to put your left foot on the driver's side. Same on the passenger side. Plus his knees were against the dash. 6'4.

KRISTIN CI tried to rent a van closer to Cumberland Maryland - 3 different locations. But all of those experiences left me feeling uneasy - especially since this was my first ever UHaul rental. This location In Chambersburg was very professional and helpful. It ended up costing me more than what i would have paid if I could have rented closer to cumberland maryland, but the extra expense was worth my peace of mind.

Paul JPrevious van rentals were very neat and clean. This van was somewhat dirty, given that it only had 20,000 miles. Otherwise, the overall experience was exceptional.
THOMAS TI loved my experience renting a pickup from U-Haul! It was quick and easy ordering it online. The actual pickup was a smooth process which took a few minutes and then I was on my way with a reliable and new vehicle. The ripoff was great too. Thanks U-Haul of Chambersburg!!

Anna FI'm requesting some type of refund. The lights to hook up the trailer did not work. Making me do more miles than expected. Over $200 and at 100 a day I would have just rented it for the two days and had 200 free miles. The keys got locked in the vehicle at uhual before I left and you didn't have a spare. I'm requesting a full refund. Based on the unprofessional no back up key. And lack of communication on options when renting. If the guy could have explained the best available option to a customer. Please I waited for hours until I also had to use my AAA to get keys out and I bought insurance Then he said it wasn't covered. Well these are normal my issues that you would think be covered. TEK PDon’t know why I had to go to Chambersburg to rent a truck when Shippensburg had the size I needed.. Anyway you can screw the customers by making them drive more miles than needed..

DAVID SSeemed to be short handed. Had to wait a while until attendant was finished outside to come in and man the office. By that time several were waiting. Attendant was courteous and knowledgeable.

RANDALL BI was referred to the Chambersburg location from Gettysburg due to the previous renter damaging the trailer that I had reserved. Everyone was pleasant and helpful at both locations. U-Haul has a policy that mandates that I had to return the trailer to Chambersburg, a 90 min round trip, that was very inconvenient to the customer. In situations where an error or accident causes an alternate location for rental then U-Haul should have some flexibility and understanding.

HAROLD WTruck was clean but not well maintained. I know it's a rental truck and as long as it works, it should be good but minor damage could be fixed before putting it back in the fleet.
EKONDUA AI asked for a box truck so I could move some appliances, and they gave me a 10' box truck. When I returned to my house to get my wife I noticed that there was no ramp. I returned the truck, and the manager told, me he would give me a lower rate for my inconvenience. When I returned the truck, and wanted to settle my bill, your employee told me that the computers were down, and he would send me the receipt. When I received the receipt, there was no reduction of the bill. Please look into this and get me the proper invoice. Thanks, Charles Lindeen
CHARLES LWonderful experience overall! That said, a heads-up that the dolly I rented was going to forcefully slam against the inside wall of the truck as I pulled away from the lot would’ve saved me a moment of panic lol

ZACHARY GThe truck was filthy. It had drinks spilled down both doors and something spilled down the inside of the back of the truck. When you opened the doors, it smellee bad. The rent me sign was still across the window. I had rented a furniture dolly, the gentleman told me to check the truck to see it was in there and it wasn't, so I had to walk back down to They had none in stock so he have me two little wheeled board things that were greasy and disgusting. I left the shop almost 20 minutes after my scheduled pick up time. I tried to use them and they did not work at all. I ended up running to the store to get room spray to try to get the smell out of the front and back of the truck. This was the worst experience I had with Uhaul.

MICHAEL LUhaul needs to look at making this more affordable your company preys on people that are in a binding for any reasons the other issue I have is how you devilishly Have your low gear tow setting to come on automatically without anything being hooked up I.E gas mileage drainer bravo uhaul I think you have the cable company's beat with your fuckery
