RODNEY LWhen I went to pick up the employee that helped me was very rude. This was the first time i ever rented from U-Haul. But when I dropped off that employee was great. It’s a shame when I first called. I got the runaround and it seemed like nobody knew if I could do a one-way destination or not I could I couldn’t. It was all very confusing.

Wanted to try Havertown for convenience, however I think I will be actively avoiding the Havertown branch moving forward. Very insulting.
Micheal MThe pickup was a nightmare! I had previously rented a trailer from an auto shop in Drexel Hill. When I reserved this trailer, I requested the same location. The auto shop owner told me he would “call his supervisor “ to get me the trailer I wanted and call me back. He never called me, so I called him again. He said the same thing a second time, but never called me with an answer. I called UHaul directly, and the person I spoke with was very rude, and told me that the auto shop did not rent trailers. I informed her that I had previously rented a trailer there, but she rudely told me that I could only get one from the Haverford location. When I went to pick it up on May 31 as scheduled, I found people who had already been in line waiting for an hour. After waiting 45 minutes, the single attendant announced that people could expedite their pickup by scanning the barcode on the wall. The customer in front of me and I both scanned the barcode, but it wouldn’t work. I called UHaul directly, and was told that the barcode was only for truck rental, not trailer rental. I waited another half hour before the line moved so I could get to the counter. I then realized that the attendant was waiting on three customers at a time, moving back & forth between screens. It was inexcusable to have only one attendant handling such a high volume of customers on a Saturday morning during prime moving season!!! I finally left with the trailer after two hours of waiting. When I returned the trailer to the UHaul location in Jackson, Michigan, it was the difference between night and day. An attendant met me shortly after I arrived, checked the trailer, and was very pleasant and cordial. He unhooked the trailer, and I left within seven minutes. I will never again rent from the haverford location again.

RODNEY LThe truck was very dirty, full of crumbs. The lot was very tiny and hard to navigate the truck out of and hard to even get into the truck. Could not even walk around it.
Meghan RU-Haul transactions are time-consuming by nature. This location seems to achieve a pretty good balance of having enough employees available to handle "rushes" without having people just sitting around. Allow extra time for transacting business here and you will find that the staff is helpful and courteous.
Stephen HAll went fairly well overall. Dropping off was a bit of a mess as the place appeared understaffed and there were not enough employees processing drop offs so there was a bit of a wait. That being said, the worker who helped me was great. Very friendly and helpful.

Papa NOne employee was working at this location. It took 20 minutes both days to get service due to the number of people that were in line. It wasn’t they’re (employee’s) fault, but the company owners/managers who need to hire more employees to service the multiple people in line for a Saturday and Sunday.
kyle fnothing except a pay increase to keep the woman who runs that location from transferring next week. you are losing a major asset at the havertown pa. location. UNDER APPRECIATED EMPLOYEE i will not use that location in the future for that reason

NORMAN MLocal staff was great. log on guy did two lines and two computers because the network is so slow. Thats a national or franchise issue. But the workers make it work! Yard tech were quick and easy and keep a busy yard clear and got me in and out in less then 10 min each time. I rent all the time, very happy with the guys here!
ALBERT NDid not happen this time, but often I try to rent a trailer at Havertown location, then the reservation is transferred to another location far away. I usually cancel then and you loose the sale. If I reserve at Havertown, I want to pick up at Havertown. Last minute transfers to pick up drive me nuts.

mike mI reserved a hand truck, dolly and sofa cover when I booked over a week ago but they did not have them when I picked up the truck. That made the move a bit more difficult. You should not offer add on’s if they are not available, especially when I booked in advance.

KARRIEM RDrive tran was very loud. Brakes made some noise. Truck was clean. Store was tidy with very nice clerks. The truck had approx 50k miles on it and it sounded like it was approaching 200k. It made it the one hundred some miles we needed. For the longevity of the truck I believe there is something going on with the transmission and/or transfer case/differential. If it was my truck and it was under warranty I would get it looked at. I would recommend this location but less than the overbrook location. This location also doesn't save driver's licenses and I think it would be very helpful for U-Haul to keep them on my file since I'm a repeat customer.

Robert SThe first truck I was given the keys to had less than a quarter of a tank of gas and the check engine light was on. I was able to get another truck. The second truck had opened moving blankets littering the floor.
Brooke BThe process of returning a vehicle on a Sunday was very horrible. The U-Haul app did not work. It would not let me scan the barcode I had to make three phone calls and was on the phone for over 30 minutes trying to bypass the app and return the vehicle online. It is very inconvenient to have the customer. Take pictures record the odometer and answer so many questions when all we should be able to do is put the key in the dropbox and let the company check off all these areas the next day.. This process is not user friendly and very inconvenient..

ROBERT MMichelle did such a great job on a busy Saturday morning. She needs more backup though! (A bunch of employees called out that morning but she was managing the steady flow of customers beautifully.) The line at the desk is often long and intimidating. Customers are not always prepared with the right documents and that can make checkout slow. But Michelle is great. Efficient, kind, steady. I like that I can park my car there while I did my quick errand with my rental.
