The U-haul employees that helped me were amazing! The hitch receiver was rusty, and they worked hard to get the hitch in. However when we got to our final destination, the nut had come off of the ball, and could’ve easily been a disaster.

The trailer was not in good shape and the trailer lights didn't work apparently. We took it anyway because we needed it.

DEBRA AWe returned the trailer the same day and even physical spoke to the representative when we dropped off and it didn't get checked back in within the system so I was called AND overbilled. Don't understand how this can happen, not even a large location. .
Michael SWhen I was talking with them they seemed to be personable and polite. When my wife dealt with them they were aloof and distant. She said the drop off was difficult and confusing. I was with her when we picked it up, 1) the new plug did not have a protective cover on it and the attendant was arguing with me about it. he did find one and I put it on. 2) they refused to take cash for a portion of the cost ($400.00), this upset my wife as it caused her to hurry to the bank to redeposit the money onto the debit card. Not sure we wil ever use this location again. David

ELLIOT IThis is my go-to U-Haul location. I can usually find what I need and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. My only complaint or gripe is the location but other than relocation, I understand that can’t be helped.
ZENA RI received a call 1 hour before I was to pick up the truck asking if I could take a smaller truck because someone extended their rental online. I had reserved a 2-way 20 foot truck. A smaller truck would have cost me double the milage since I would have had to make 2 trips so I asked to be compensated for those miles. Instead they tell me they DO have a 20 foot truck, however it’s a 1-way truck so I just need to drop it off at a different location. They told me they would adjust the cost since a 1-way was more expensive. Great I thought… I was given a copy of my signed contract with the address of where to drop the truck off however when we went to do so, the drop off location refused to take the truck! They told me their lot was full and I had to bring it back to the original location which would have cost me 40 additional miles plus additional gas and put me past the return time. I showed him my contract with the location address and he told me it wasn’t his problem and to call the 1-800 U-Haul number. That’s when the fun really started! I was sent to 5 other state schedulers, each telling me they couldn’t help me because of my location. They never did connect me to the right person. Finally a woman from an Iowa location was able to do something online to cause the location we were at to take the truck. He obviously was not happy and got angry with us, saying he was now over his limit and he could get a ticket from the city. This whole process on the phone and dropping off the truck took almost an hour. I don’t know why I was made to feel like it was my problem, and why I had to be the one to try and figure it out when I had a signed contract stating what to do and I was doing exactly that. Especially since I wasn’t even given what I had signed up for from the start and was trying to be accommodating! Its not a simple thing to ‘just bring the truck 40 miles to another location’ when you’re paying milage, plus need to find another gas station to add more gas, plus arrange for someone to get you from that farther location and consider their milage, gas and time… all while trying to move!
AMY TTeam at the Silver Lake Rd store are awesome. Very thorough, and Made sure I had the right hitch and electric kit prior to hook up. I didn’t, and they set me up with a loaner set. Pick up and drop off a breeze. Love this site! Keep it up boys!

ANIS TThe new Brighton location was closed when I returned the trailer. I'm sure it's not the local people's fault but they have way too much equipment and someone was parked right in the driveway so it was extremely difficult to return the equipment. If a person was not a very good driver and physically strong, there would be no way to have returned the trailer at the time I did.

BRITTANY FAt time of picking up rental I had to get out of my truck to go hook up to hitch cause the manager who was supposed to be helping was too busy on his personal phone. On my returning rental same person comes out with some ki d of gardening equipment and instead of helping me unhitch he completely ignores me and continues doing whatever he was doing. I HAD TO UNHITCH ON MY OWN, MANAGER GOES BY AND NOT EVEN A THANK YOU...

STEVEN PService at this location was impressive - fast and responsive. I've previously rented Uhauls at other nearby locations and I had alot of delays. The staff seemed efficient and organized.
Forrest FAlthough the staff was friendly, I had to look for somebody and then wait for a personal car to be moved before I could get the truck. Also for returning, sign said to wait in truck but nobody came so I had to go search for an employee.

DONALD DWhen dropping off, the young man said we couldn’t drop off there, told me to call 800 number. I told him this the site I was told at my pickup site and by email. There was room to park truck. I gave him keys .
David DThe parking lot had not been plowed after a recent over night Snow, because of this cars were getting stuck. It made it difficult to know where to park the Uhaul with all the snow in the parking spaces.
PATTY AGreat customer service, in and out of in record time. No weird charges, everything explained in detail. Kudos to the agent, in the store, he was alone and busy and still provided exceptional service.

BRITTANY EI reserved the truck and supplies online the evening before pickup but when my daughter arrived to pick the truck up she was told that the carts that I’d paid for were not available. The truck was empty of gas…it had 5 miles driving left on it. When I called to talk to the employee at the location about the empty tank she sarcastically told me that they aren’t a gas station. She told my daughter that they did have a furniture cart but she hadn’t put it in the truck …which we realized when we got ready to load things up. I’ve rented a few uhauls in the past and have never picked up a truck that was empty of fuel. The employee told me that my credit card and rental that I’d made from the App wasn’t showing up even though it showed that I had paid for the carts at the time I reserved the truck on the App

Kesha ADrop off location was changed in the middle of dropping it off at this location and was charged $108.35 for another day and didn't have rental but for one day.

BISRAT SAn advertized sign of $39.95 f0r a 20ft truck rental ended up costing me over $200.00 for a 10 hour rental from Shoreview to Moundsview 8 miles. we were told to return it to the Blaine store but when we called got no answer. Stopped and got gas which brought it to half a tank but I guess we shoul have taken a picture of the gaugeas blaine charged me 49.00 for 10 gallons of gas.for me to have put 7 gallons in and Blaine putting 10 gallons in to get to 3/8 of a tank would mean that truck would have had about a 50 gallon tank. GOOD JOKE !
LAWRENCE CI was able to pick up my truck quickly and the service was professional and prompt. The truck was in great shape, clean and drove well. The only downside was that you had to park off site at this location if you were leaving your vehicle while renting the truck.
JACOB UFuel level was inaccurate from the paperwork I was provided at pickup when I compared it to the fuel level of the truck. I was charged for two gallons even after speaking with an employee and showed them a picture with the level and when I dropped it off and made sure I wouldn't be charged. I was informed by both employees that I wouldn't be charged but the next day when I received my receipt I was charged. The truck was dirty at pickup and the line was extremely long with only one employee working. I would not recommend this location.
JOEL KTruck was sticky with soda. App didn’t work for pickup. Line was long. App didn’t work for drop off. The return line for equipment was so long it was spilling into the busy street. I’m using Turo next time I need to rent a truck.

AVALON MThe van itself stunk, both literally and figuratively. The van had a really bad odor to it, as if someone had been hotboxing or smoking in it and the solution was to throw 16 different types of air fresheners in it. The seats were uncomfortable and old, the radio screen only worked once the uhaul had been running for awhile. The suspension was excessively spongy and springy, making it hard to go over bumps or take tight turns as the uhaul van would lean when loaded. My biggest issue with this van is the rear cargo area height. We use the uhaul for our company to transport equipment for event productions around. When we rent a van for 6-7 weeks at a time, its important to have a van that has a full standing height rear cargo area. This van you had to hunch over in to load/unload. We filed 3 workers comp claims due to back injuries from the height of the van. If we get another van like this again I'll be moving my business elsewhere. It's time to retire the GMC line of uhaul products. They are far inferior to the newer Fords or Chevy's that other locations offer.

FRANCISCO MI couldn't tell if anyone was there. There is no room to park or pickup vehicles. And I was charged for three gallons of gas when I drove 13 miles. Ridiculous.
Caleb MI have rented from this site multiple times and have yet to get anything but very good service. This time, I when I called, I was connected to the national answering service due to the local office being busy but that was far better than getting placed on one of those annoying holds with the nauseating "your call is important to us, please continue to hold" recordings. The woman was so friendly and competent. Great job!
ALVIN WThe trailer that I reserved was not at the location when I went to pick it up, apparently it was stolen off the lot prior to my arrival. I was forced to find another trailer at another facility at the last minute to avoid rescheduling my next days' work. A better system of inventory tracking needs to be implemented by U-Haul. This is the second time we've reserved a trailer, and it wasn't on the lot when we arrived to pick it up.
