However, I would never recommend U Haul. The reservation process was a joke and nothing short of irritating. It is a good thing you have no competition, if so U Haul would be out of business.

Luke MService was friendly. Pick up went smooth. Condition of rental truck was horrible!!!! The smell was vile. Could not even use AC. Made the smell worse. Driver seat was stuck. Could not adjust. Mirrors were hard to move.

KEITH TThe location staff was fine, but the fact that my equipment was in North Scottsdale and I had to drive to Apache Junction where it was not there, is unfair and costed me hours of schedule delays. I was credited $100 but this does not include my driving time and gas that I had to provide for U-Haul's error I think I should be reimbursed at a higher level as this error delayed my full moving schedule and unloaders from U-Haul.

TRACY BI was very disappointed with U-Haul price gauging, I rented a 5x8 trailer. When I checked the price on April 7 it was $340 when I picked it up it was over $600. A 100% price increase, this should be regulated, I am considering reporting this to the better business bureau. I tried reached out to a manager and was given the run around.

FREDERICK FHaving customers do all the work that of your associates is just bad! Having to go around and take several photos of the truck and do all the basic work of an employee is crazy lazy. It’s such a waste of time. Renting should be easy and efficient— this is the absolute opposite!

Avery GI had no desire to travel this far out of my way for my moving needs resulting in me incurring extra fees for moving , gas, and last but not least my time. I believe if I put a reservation placed 20 days in advance in just about any industry is plenty of time to ensure everything goes smoothly for both parties, specifically the customer . This location in old town Scottsdale where I had to go to pick up my auto transport where on top of their business. Although i ended up having to do another transaction which ended up being more than I expected they were very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend that the facility off of citrus road in Goodyear be cross trained with facilities like the one in Scottsdale to improve on customer service, it is very unprofessional that I was not informed of having to go elsewhere for my trailer after I paid $2000 and went out to inspect the truck they drove up for me and when asked about my trailer I was told they don’t have it. Mind you the Monday before my reservation I stopped by the same facility I booked to pick up the equipment to check on my reservation and was not informed of anything. For the longest I’ve rented from the U-Haul location on Dunlap and I-17 and they have always been great, when I have a reservation set at a later date the Manager would call me 2 days before the pick up to make sure it’s still a go for me and pick up the equipment if needed so I did not have any issues like I had this week at the Goodyear location.
Austin WI am not sure how the personnel was. After a very long day of moving, I woke up and realized I needed to get a small extension. I called and the lady who answered transferred me but I was told by the automated system to call back at 9am. I proceeded to take the truck to the location and I saw where I could leave the truck I just parked it there and went inside. I saw a very long line again and could not stay. I saw there was a drop box key and just dropped the keys in there and left. I already had a noticed beforehand that the rental was complete. So, a small lack of clear communication on what to do or the next steps. Thankful, I had enough common sense to figure it out. overall, it was what I needed and just a couple of tweaks I feel could be better but you all have overall satisfied this customer. I would recommend!
Jessica GMy first complaint was securing the rental vehicle. I requested a pickup truck, as I was using the vehicle as a rental car alternative. Instead, I was given a call the day before my flight that my pickup rental should not have been granted due to the fact somebody else had it reserved before me. Unacceptable. Luckily, they had a cargo van available for me. However, since I was using the van as a rental car for travelling purposes only, I had a difficult time finding parking around the Phoenix area due to roof clearance issues. The second, and primary, complaint I had was the 24/7 self service feature. I have used this feature without any issue in Tempe in the past. However, for this time around, I was given issues during check-in. Despite providing a passport in addition to my drivers license to prove my verification status, due to being from out of state, I was forced to contact two people other than my fiancée to prove I exist. Due to this in addition to the fact I started this process around 11 PM, I was beyond frustrated. Fortunately, we were able to get two people from home (it was 1 AM over there) to verify us, but the damage was already done. The vehicle worked very well, which is why I am not giving the lowest review. After all, I firmly believe in giving credit where credit is due: bravo. I understand U-Haul was not inherently designed with the purpose of being an Enterprise or Hertz competitor, but I have used them with minimal issue in the past when I was not old enough to rent a proper rental car myself (in addition to being cheaper). However, the 24/7 self-service feature was not up to the standards I am used to receiving from U-Haul. Please do better.
ASHTON RWhen I booked the Uhaul I was talked into getting my movers through uhaul and moving help labor services. I booked brothers in arms moving and they flaked on me at 7am in the morning after I had to reserve a spot at my building and get up super early to get my truck. Uhaul convinced me to book with them so if anything happened it would be easier to deal with, however when they didn't show uhaul was zero help and made me call the moving labor services where I couldn't get through to anyone. I then had to book new movers last minute for later in the day and spent way more to get them last minute, and in the process had to put on more miles on the uhaul driving back and forth. If you are going to recommend certain movers for companies there should be an easier way to handle these situations.

HARRIS KStaff was amazing and freindly, really appreciated the attitude since I was the first guy of the day - Monday mornings are rough, but not at this Uhaul! Thanks guys. A little recommendation, my trailer had one of those rotating couplers, and they are impossible to lock when parking overnight somewhere and trying to deter theft. Best I could do was sort of imply my trailer was locked. I bought a Reese coupler ball lock, disconnected the trailer both nights on the road, installed the coupler ball lock, and rested the tongue on my truck to at least make it look like a pain to try and steal. Not the best scenario, since you have to re-hookup every morning. Maybe consider getting those out of the fleet in exchange for the classic lift latch with the locking hole? Regardless, a great experience and thanks for everything! JR Parrow
John PRented two U-Haul’s with two weeks and the trucks were new. You’d think the new trucks and with technology the way it is now days, these trucks would have remote key fobs and power locks/windows.

TALESA PThey would not accept my passport, declaration of active insurance and my proof of in state active registration as an alternative because I got my wallet stolen. Owner was a complete jerk. I ended up having to go back and forth to find an old id at my house in storage and back to uhaul 3 times. My pick up time went from 11:15am to 12:05pm. Would not come back. Would not recommended this place to a friend, or anyone really. Better to go a couple more miles and invest in a different uhaul facility.
