The person initially contacted was not aware of the inventory but another employee was there and immediately corrected the problem. She was very helpful and courteous. She and the person at the return made the experience good.
ALLEN CI have rented several times from here and have never had any issues.
JOSEPH RHorrible. The customer service advisor was not helpful at all! She was busy working on the computer, was blunt and said go outside and leave the key! She did not explain the return process in detail and was not helpful or courteous. And to top that, I was OVERCHARGED for 75 miles @ $1.00 a mile of which I DID NOT DRIVE, in fact I was under the alloted miles Karen gave me as she confirmed when I called Karen to confirm my odomoter numbers upon renting and returning which proved I did not drive ANY extra miles over my allotment. I called this Perrine location to file a complaint and get my $75 back but this same advisor told me she could do nothing because her manager was not there but would call me when she returned. SHE DID NOT! So I was forced to contact the main Uhaul phone number to file a grievance. And what was the result even after having to do that? Uhaul ONLY refunded $42.67 - NOT the overage of $75!!!! So it is not enough that Uhaul gets paid to rent, they also falsify your mileage to make even more money!!! I will not again rent from Uhaul!

LAZARO DReceiving staff were rude and lazy. Made me back up trailer in tight corner while they stood in the shade. They barely talk, and when they did were short and rude. The lead person had his face covered and I couldn’t hear or see if he was talking.

OLIVER TTo whom may concern, they will screw you on the Sunpass easy pass on the highway even if you have an account, U-Haul will steal and charge you more money than normal, which is a big problem. How much do they steal from customers? They like to blame the sound pass people, but it’s actually them because when you rent a car, you can add it to your account and you save money.

FRANCISCO MI was charged extra when I turned a trailer in on the due date. The guys at the store told me I was all good and then I was charged after the fact with no heads up.

LAZARO DThe technician install the lights and connected the chains but did not secure the ball for the trailer and the trailer came off. I would say you need to do better training. Just glad that nothing happened.
BRUCE FNatalie served me, and I was very satisfied. I had never rented a U-Haul before, so it was my first time, and I didn't think it would be so easy, both the pick-up and drop-off processes. In just a few minutes I was driving, and to return it, I just had to hand over the keys. My experience was 100% positive.

GARY QThe customer service could dramatically improve. I had a request for additional mileage and the person at pick up (Caroline J) argued with me and told me it was my fault. She tried to blame me for picking the wrong return location. If a customer is clearly telling you they calculated the mileage and door to door it’s the exact amount quoted and know they will need extra miles, then give a courtesy and allow additional miles. On top of poor customer service, the transmission was going on the truck I was given so I could barely shift the gears or take the key out of the ignition when putting the truck in park. I have rented from U-Haul many times and this was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I will think twice before renting from them again and especially from this location and you should too.

Pedro T1. The App is not working properly. Tried checking in with it at the location and got the message that "I was in the wrong location". 2. Check-in at the counter worked, although there was a collosal waste of time when she called State Farm to confirm my policy would cover. 3. Returning the car took ages. Location looks grossly understaffed in that area.

JUAN FOnly thing to pass on is when told of 4 days to return I replied it would be longer, 6-7, they said I would have to pay the additional time. I agree with this. However, the Johns Island SC drop off was not informed it would take me longer and they sent out messages and listed the trailer as potential stollen. No harm to me, but a note in the contract may have avoided Johns Island Team from trying to track me down …

WILLIAM KEl día de 02 /19 /2024 en horas de la tarde rente un trailer en esta locación las personas que te hacen entrega de los vehículos que rentas son. Personas mal entrenas para este trabajo te ponen a esperar te contestan de mala gana y te hablan de los artículos o vehículos como si uno fuera un experto.en mi orden rente una bola o conector el cual la persona que me estaba atendiendo me dio 2 de inmediato le dije que estaba equivocado y le regrese el otro.al dia siguiente de la entrega el mismo sr de mala gana ,mala manera me dijo deje eso ahí tirado etc no me recibió nada sin darme cuanta una de las partes se quedó en el vehículo y a los 15 minutos regrese y se lo entregue al sr que estaba revisando. Horas más tarde se comunico alguien con migo diciendo que yo me había llevado el hitch y que en la cámara se veía que no loentregue le explique que yo había regresando y ni si quiera tuvieron la delicadeza de devolver la llamana y decirme que se habían equivocado..la verdad alguien. Debería estar pendiente de estos casos para dar un mejor servicio y experiencia

MAYRA AMy initial reservation was for 2 days but the movers and I only needed it for 5 hours! An absolute dumpster fire of errors and incompetence. Was quoted and saved the quote for 93.66 and got there to sign the agreement and get to moving and the price turned to 140! A quote is a word/expectation that I agreed to when entering my card info for reservation. This place couldn’t figure out how the online reservation got to the price but I had to force them to honor it. Then asked to park my car and they said go “go find a grassy patch” like I am not the customer paying his paycheck! Kind of a problem when someone is coming to rent a vehicle and there is no place to park their car. This is an obvious oversight. Upon return after traveling 3 mi total they charged me for 10 miles and for gas! Thank goodness I took a pic of both starting mileage and gas and upon return! Then didn’t even open or use the bag of furniture blankets but since I reserved them and paid upfront, the manager said I could not be refunded it because it was there and paid for even if you didn’t need them! May want to consider retraining and a program/process review at this location. -Casey Ouellette
CASEY OCustomer service experience was great. Douglas was very courteous when I returned the vehicle. My issue is more corporate policy. How is that I have to scan my own license, take pictures of the truck, and then get scared 10 different ways when I decline the insurance. After this experience, you have opened the door to a competitor. My next rental will be with someone else. Let’s see if everyone is racing to the bottom.
JUAN FBig scam, as soon as I received the invoice I noticed that they were charging about 159.00 when all the charges were supposed to be 49.00. I contacted the brunch and spoke to a person by the name of Nataly who after reviewing the invoice advised that a fee had been charged in error as they thought the furniture dolly had not been returned which it was, and that a manager will review the invoice, fix it and resend it. Nothing was done, I have disputed the transaction with my bank and reported this issue. I also have a Garmin Tracker that shows I driove 7 miles from point A to B and on the invoice that are charging 4 gallons for fuel.
