I rented a truck using the 24/7 pickup. I travelled 1/3 hour to get the truck at 6:30 pm. The truck was there but when I opened the lock box the key was NOT in the lock box. U-haul charged me for the rental but gave me no truck. U-haul did not seem to care or truly apologize for the inconvenience.
Joshua HNot the fault of Yuba City U-Haul; they did an excellent job of correcting the issue. However, scheduling my pods for delivery was awful. Yuba City U-Haul and the movers did everything in their power to make it right. I wanted my items delivered on 11/28 and logged in to schedule everything, thinking I was all set. Then I received a call from the first moving company, telling me that I needed to cancel directly with U-Haul Moving Help because they could not fulfill the request; the price I selected was incorrect, and they could only move one pod. I called U-Haul Moving Help during their office hours, explained the situation, and the very nice person who answered the phone made me feel confident that everything was sorted out. However, the day before my pods were scheduled for delivery, I received another call informing me that my pods could not be delivered and that I would have to call U-Haul Moving Help again to reschedule. That was Thanksgiving Day, so I assumed I would need to sort this out the following day. That night, I received a text from a moving company confirming my delivery. I simply confirmed and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, when the moving help arrived at Yuba City U-Haul, my pods were in the back and not ready to be picked up due to all the confusion. The amazing staff at Yuba City U-Haul made it right and retrieved my pods, while the even more amazing movers waited on their dime for the pods to be pulled out of storage. I am so impressed with Yuba City U-Haul and the movers who navigated a very confusing situation and made it work. I am not impressed with the first moving company or U-Haul support at all.

TAMMY PUhaul of Yuba City Ca. is impeccably operated and always a satisfying experience with one small exception. The wait in line can be frustrating. A result of the staff's focus on catering to every customers needs, often leaving the counter (and those in line) unattended to show a visitor the cargo space of a 10' box truck, for example. In any instance of less than excellent service, a competent but thinly spread staff, in this renter's humble opinion, is the culprit.

Juan VWhen I needed a huge moving van they had it, no problems and got in and out so I could get busy moving. Easy to drop off.

CHOUA LSince, this was my first time renting and moving to another city. What would be very helpful is a ramp that should be included in the rental of the truck to move furniture into the back without having to leave the furniture behind.

ELIZABETH R40 minutes waiting for assistance when I already had a reservation . Almost everytime I take a trailer somethings broken. They gave me one with no plate, one that didn’t match the rental agreement, and now the whole ramp came out while I was driving because they rented it to me with a broken latch. Then 30 minutes to return the equipment and parking lot is blocked so I couldn’t just drop off
Liberty RZero customer service. Non friendly staff and manager. Waited in line for 40 minutes to pick up the dolly I pre ordered. Geneneral manager proceeded to help a man who cut the line instead of those who had been waiting. Finally got my rental and the entire thing smelt like weed from the previous person. Complaints were met with indifference and never a sorry or even a how can we help.

DEREK HThe clerk was not very personable. I had never rented a U-Haul before I was not taken to my rental and shown anything. For example, how to use the ramp or where things were at. Or even where to drop it off at in the parking lot. Beingthis waa my first time, it would have been nice to be shown these type of things

ERNEST RScheduled an early pickup for 7am. The van was never prepped so I had to come back two hours later when they opened to wait in line for twenty more minutes. Then when I finally got the van, non of the requested equipment was in it either, they also claimed there was absolutely nothing they could do at the time to adjust the price due to all these inconveniences which is BS!!! Would not recommend, very incompetent.

MARCO DThe truck performed ok, its very old and under-powered for hills. The windows & mirrors were very dirty upon pick-up, I had to clean them inside & out. Other than that, the service personnel were great and I accomplished what I needed to do.

RAMON CStaff in Yuba City is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The store is well stocked with moving supplies. I had a major challenge with corporate, though… I had reserved a 26’ truck with a car hauler trailer for a 300 mile one way use - I made the reservation a month in advance to insure this would be a smooth process. I believed planning ahead would work in my favor and U-Haul had not disappointed me yet. My one way move was to relocate my family and cars while selling and buying homes to move from and into, so already a high stress deal. 2 days before pickup, I got an email notification that my reservation had been changed, that the trailer was unavailable. They found one I could use, but that required me to add 120 miles to my trip with the 26’ truck. After some time on the phone, they found a trailer closer, but still added 40 miles to the trip using the 26’ truck. After spending the time to make that 40 mile trip, it turns out the trailer was at the Yuba City store, where I had made my reservation for it along with the truck. They were very gracious and apologetic about the whole ordeal and they made sure my lost time was not compounded with lost money and I am very appreciative for that. It caused a level of stress during a stressful period that I was really hoping to avoid. The bottom line is U-Haul both created and eliminated the hoops I had to jump through at a time I already had enough hoops of my own to jump thru. I am glad they ended up doing right by me, but I am not sure what I can do to avoid an ordeal like this in the future…

Steven WUpon arriving the employee working, the counter was sitting out in her car in one of the only two parking spots by the door, her car was parked in it. Shewatched me walk in and let me sit in there for several minutes. Then was very unprofessional. No customer service skills. Then I had to go find somebody to help me get my trailer. The guy working the yard saw me sitting over there and just kept doing other things. Until I went and got him to help me. Overall, not happy with the experience.

STACEY SWe reserved a dolly that was not available when we went to pick it up. We were over charged for 5 medium boxes that we did not get. When we returned the trailer and asked about the overcharge, they said the sales manager would call us when he came in. No one ever called.
Oscar PWait time for a person to address the customer is far too long. I walked in about 10:45a.m. after picking up a car trailer the same morning at 8 and it was more then ten minutes for somebody to be at the counter to return the trailer. Sure wish they could come out after a customer arrives to handle business alot sooner. I have no clue to what is more important then a satisfied customer that doesn't have their time squandered due to lack of attention for said customer.
