Train staff to be more helpful and assist customers with instructions. Clerck who checked my reservation gave me the keys to the rental but didn't bother to show me where the rental was. I have rented many times from other U-Haul and this was never the case. Another staff who was outside actually helped me find my rental. I also asked the inside clerk about how to return the vehicle during closed hours- he just pointed to the outside and said the instructions are there. I did an online reservation and put that I was not getting the U-Haul insurance, however the clerk tried to include it when he gave me the total cost. Hopefully more customer satisfaction training can be given to certain if not all employees. Thank youSANDRA U.

Have the equipment clean well maintained and with fuel ready to go. Try to check the tires that could avoid an accident a break down which in my case took hours and I wasn't able to get a hold of road side assistance. I had to call for help and use my own membership. Try to have road side assistance ready help. Customer service took close to one hour to assist me with just a change to my reservation. Please try to assist people quicker. The service I received at the Lynwood location on Saturday was really unprofessional. The person trying to figure out why my reservation wouldn't come up on their system was basically turning me away sending me to another location when I kept telling her the customer service agent sent me their which ended up being the wrong location and I Uber my self there and she kept telling me go to the other location where they have ur equipment. I told her to just give me the biggest truck they had because I originally reserved a 26 footer. Since the time was almost closing time I couldn't get to the other location quick so I told her that I will take the 20 footer she rolled her eyes. I'm paying for a service which employees the people assisting customers so why treat customers as if it's a bother to them. When I dropped off the first truck after my tire popped the agents assistance were very professional and helpful. U haul needs more professional agents like these gentlemen's. When I picked up the second truck at the Cudahy location the agents where very professional and helpful. But the vehicle was not clean and no fuel when I dropped off my truck my gas was full I lost time and I wasn't able to move all my stuff as scheduled I dropped of my husband at work late. Today I dropped off the truck at the Cudahy location my husband had filled up the gas tank thinking I had to return it with gas and I told the agent receiving the truck and right away I had not finish my sentence when she interrupted me by saying we don't reimburse you for gas you shouldn't have filled it up and she gave me my total I was like wow what a great customer service you know she should of just tried to listen or try to find a solution but no instead she just technically didn't care about my situation.CONSUELO M.

Don't use security public storage at 5601 southern Ave to request a car hauler. That's where I reserved and was not able to acquire a trailer. Was never able to get through on the phone and was lucky they have one at the location in CudahyJONATHAN L.

I was very disappointed with this location. I moved to a different city 75 miles away driving a speed limit or less with this truck it took me almost 3 hours one way.I decide to rent a uhaul with the mentality to returned back to the city that I was moving too. But, for my surprise this Particular location it seem is manage by a third party owner that have he's own policy. The reason for that is because he do not allow me to drop off on a different location. In order to be able to rented it must had to be return to the same location. That made my move very hard and Spence due to the fact that I had too drive back 75 miles in order to returned and take back a commute in order to get back home. Honestly that a bad expectation for a company that stand up to make a move smooth. After all I ended up with a almost $500 dollars bill due to the extras miles that I shouldn't had to drive on the first place.. over all very disappointed with the way how he manage he's own policy.Victor F.

My check in location was moved which did not reflect on my account so I could not check out the truck without going into the office. Once I went in there, the man working inside was rude and wouldn't let me explain my situation. Then I was overcharged for an estimate. First of all I was not told the hours the location would be open. I asked for 8 hours to move online and when i got there I was not given the truck until 9:30, and the service desk told me that they closed at 5 pm and told me if I can bring it back at 4:30. I told him that was cutting it close and he said to bring it before 5. I brought it back at 4:55 and the service desk guy closed the door and did not let me back in. He said to drop off the key. I was charged two full days. That's a rip off. Service Desk person could have taken me in. but instead wanted to charge me an extra day. This is not fair and I will make sure others will not use Uhaul in the future and use honest services like Penske. I should have only been charged one day.Oscar L.

Left a chain attached to my hitch and over charged me $300 on a $28 one day trailer rental and then accused me of stealing the trailer. I'm a repeat costumer for business purposes at multiple locations and a lot of your locations either have under qualified or just racist employees. Your company has some work to do on your customer service. And you should not ask customers to remove their mask to take photos, which seem to happen in your minority locations, I noticed ðŸ˜ž sad. The staff needs better training. The gentleman that hooked up my trailer failed to tighten the ball hitch correctly. I had a full load in the trailer and the trailer unhitched while i was driving. The trailer slammed to The back of my truck. I returned the trailer to the uhaul locations and explained what happened to the employee that removed the trailer and they didn't even apologize. Well where do I start. The trailer I rented was great. As far as returning the trailer I was assigned a return location about 2 miles from my home. The location at 4237 E Cesar Chavez in Los Angeles doesn't exist as a U-Haul location. It is a used tire shop. I was instructed this location would take my return rental. I called the Red Bluff location and regarding the return location. They passed the buck and said for me to call the 1 800 U-Haul number. I did. It took 35 minutes for someone to respond. They tried to find a U-Haul that would take my trailer. The operator gave me three locations. All were over 20 miles away, and as it was not about to travel 20 miles on a holiday weekend with Los Angeles traffic at its slowest. To return this trailer was now becoming a big problem and taking me away from my family. Especially on a busy Los Angeles weekend. The first operator could not help me. She said this was the closest location that would accept my rented trailer. I don't understand how it now became a bigger issue of returning the trailer miles away from my home. The first operator told me I had the trailer till Tuesday. I told her that I couldn't keep the trailer and if I did it would have to stay out on the street where it could get stolen or damaged. I didn't want to leave it connected since doing so would block the public sidewalk putting me in legal predicament should someone trip or fall because I couldn't return my trailer. This whole dilemma of me returning a trailer should not be this difficult. The first operator could not help me, so she forwarded the scheduling manager to help the situation. I hung up as I proceeded to contact the scheduling manager. It took 20 minutes to reach her. Already one hour into returning my trailer I got the news I would have to return the trailer over in Cudahy which is 13 miles from my house. It took me 20 minutes to get there and another 20 minutes to return it. This is best part it took me anothe 40 minutes to return home due to heavy Los Angeles traffic. I don't understand why U-Haul would have me lose time away from my family just to return a trailer that should of only taken 15 minutes tops, how it was my duty to run across town to do it. I have used U-Haul many times as has my wife and my son. Never have I've ever been put in such a stressful situation that should have been handled by U-Haul. I don't understand how it's my problem if U-Haul can't keep track of who and doesn't operate as a U-Haul associate. And I don't understand how it becomes my problem to return the trailer across town to waste time and fuel. This needs to be corrected if you want to keep me as a customer who has favored you in reviews. U-Haul needs to keep its own accountability records to see who and who is not a U-Haul retailer, and not put it on the customer to find out for them.Alex M.

This will be the last time I rent a U-haul. I placed an order a week before my move date for a 26 foot truck and on the day to pick it up the self service instructions were non existing. Secondly, once I arrived to the first location I was notified they do not have the truck and didn't have the capacity to carry a 26 footer. We finally located a truck but wasted 5 hours looking for a truck and it was 10 miles out of our way. Terrible service.EDGAR M.
