When I arrived Saturday morning to pick up a 15 ft truck the truck had not yet been checked in. The contract/paper work was handed to me.....before the gas tank had been checked. When the agent turned to get the key it wasn't there. She called someone and it was still in the drop box which meant the truck had not been checked in. The agent said she needed to inspect the truck to make sure everything was clean and empty and to check the gas level. The cab was clean and the back was empty. She put a zip tie on the hand truck and explained about the hand truck and furniture blanket usage/fees. The agent must have cranked the truck to get the mileage but did not take a picture of the mileage or the gas level.....nor was gas level marked on the paper work I had been given. When I got in the truck I noticed that the gauge was a little below the "F" but I assumed that was as high as the gauge would go. The agent looked at it, didn't say anything, so I assumed it was where it was supposed to be. I thought to take a picture of the mileage but regrettably did not think to take a picture of the fuel tank. The truck was driven a total of 8 miles and the needle on the gas gauge did not move. If it had moved I would have put gas in the truck....but it did not move. When I returned the truck that afternoon I was charged a fee for gas. I asked why and was told the tank wasn't full. I told them the truck had been driven less than 10 miles....and the agent said 8 actually. I explained to him that the gauge had not moved. The agent who was doing the truck check- in proceeded to tell me that people often leave trucks running with the a/c on and that uses gas. I assured the agent the truck had been turned off except when it was being driven. Again he proceeded to tell me that he hears that a lot but people leave the truck running with the a/c and it uses gas. I felt as though I was being called a liar......i was telling the truth. The needle was exactly where it was when I picked up the truck.....and it had not moved. The agent checking in the truck asked the agent who checked out the truck about pictures.....she said she had not taken pictures. The agent when inside and pulled up a picture on the computer but it must have been from when the previous renter picked up the truck. It was past the "F" all the way to the right. That is NOT where the gauge was when I picked up the truck. The fact that I had basically been called a liar "sent me into orbit!!" I was hot, tired and came into the store irritable.....and unfortunately.....I did blow up. I have since called and apologized for my behavior....but the situation was not handled well. Accusing a customer of lying.....is not the best way to deescalate a situation. The agent did finally agree to remove the gas fee, as they should have done. I asked the agent if he was the manager he said no. A man....sitting at a desk.....who had made no effort to get up....to greet me or to intervene in the situation.....said he was the manager. He had said nothing....he just sat at the desk. When I said to the manager that the manner in which this situation had been handled was unacceptable and unprofessional.....his comment was, really, well I don't understand what the problem is!!!! REALLY......I was accused of lying.....the check-out process was obviously handled incorrectly....i was charged a fee that I should not have been charged.....and he really didn't know what the problem was? Really?? That was a great response to deescalate and already heated and tense situation! That manager is seriously lacking customer service skills. The lady who checked me out that morning was nice enough but obviously all procedures had not been followed correctly. I should not have been handed the contract until the truck had been inspected and the gas level had been marked on the paper work. Also, if the agent had taken a photo, as seems to be part of the process now, the entire situation could have been avoided. I'm not sure that I will ever rent a truck from this location again. They did do the right thing and refunded the fee and for that I was very appreciative. But the entire situation could have been avoided if correct processes had been followed.

The pin and clip, hitch ball, and square tube connector weren’t made ready for me on check out, I had to ask for them. If I was someone with less technical knowledge I would have been charge for full service for an incomplete product.

DON BI rent often and everything i get equipment that is poorly maintained with numerous quality issues. 2 weeks ago I rented a trailer with a poor roof repair that leaked heavily in the Rain. 3 weeks ago and again this week I rented a 6x12 trailer with numerous broken and non functioning lights. this week the trailer had no right side rear running lights and numerous side and top marker lights out. this same trailer is put back into service without any repairs often. I will nor rent from this location again.

LETONIA OI booked a rate of $.99/mile 2 days before I was to pick it When I picked it up, the total was higher than it was supposed to be. The GM stated that rates went up yesterday. I told him I was quoted a rate and they should honor that rate. He said his boss told him he had to charge the higher rate. I had no options at that point since I had to have a truck that day and it was a Saturday. Very disappointed Uhaul would quote a rate and not honor it especially when it was two days prior. So $6 that they overcharged created bad willl on the way they take care of customers in quoting one thing and doing another knowing the customer has no other options at that point.

ANGELA PMy original reservation was for a different location that failed load the truck with the supplies or leave the keys outside. They then had to find another truck to move my reservation too. 30 min later they found one at the above location. The lady that filled that reservation dispatched me the wrong truck. So then I couldn’t do the self return cause the mileage and gas and all didn’t match. So glad I took a picture of the dash cause otherwise I would have been overcharged. I had to reach out to customer support again.

Well, this location was less than helpful, tried to charge us almost $100 more to purchase equipment that was supposed to be rented and certainly didn't help us out any when uhaul was clearly at fault for not being able to honor our guaranteed reservation.
