These folks are amazing. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon after buying furniture that would not fit in our car. Within 15 minutes, we were on the road with a perfect trailer for the job. Very efficient and friendly service. I would highly recommend this Uhaul rental location.

I am extremely disappointed with my service from u-haul. Our truck got downsized, and of course it had to be the night before we needed it that the let us know. Our driving distance was large, we had to go from one side of Calgary to another, so naturally needed a larger truck to do it all in one trip. The downsize wasn't the let down particularly, it was the fact that they charged us for the extra mileage that needed to be driven due to the fact that we got half the size of the vehicle that we booked a month in advance. Not sure if it's poor organization or a way for them to get extra money out of you, either way, not impressed with the huge bill I was given. The lady at the rental centre was kind, multitasking and able to quickly deal with the huge line upon pickup. The crew working the lot was also quick and kind.

Online return after hours was difficult to use

I booked at a location closer to my home and my move. I was later phoned and told that I had to pick the vehicle up at this location. This location was about 10 miles further from where I booked, so it cost an additional 20 miles ( about $30 ) plus the extra gas (about $10). I would say this is a scam. What should have cost 50 or 60 cost almost $100. I would not recommend UHaul to anyone.

The vehicle was excellent. The selection of packing/moving materials and equipment was excellent. But the customer service behind the desk was appallingly slow and uninformed. More and better training and service desk management is required. A rookie should not be left , unsupervised , to try and figure out the computer system, or where Canmore is, for example.

Very happy with people, working at this location. Kirsty Goerk made my day. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, easy going and beautiful!. I drove U-haul track for first time. Young guy who was with her on duty told me everything what I need to know about track operation... I moved my stuff successfully and spent much less I would spend with private driver-track owner. Highly recommend to everybody.

Supervisor was rude handling the mistake they made in my milage when i explained it. The issue was fixed but the very poor attitude I had to deal with is why i won't be recommending this location to anyone.

Typical U-haul experience. Takes forever to get in and out. Vehicle in rough shape. Was given the wrong vehicle. Tank was only half full. U-haul is/should always be last resort.

Poor explanation for how payment is processed by the manager as I had a question and didn't understand. I was obviously a burden.

The truck was in decent shape. However the tires were nearly bald, and not good for winter driving. Also the alignment was off, constantly pulling right, and when on the icy roads it would fish tail a bit. So I instead had to take all the back roads to and from my destinations. This then made the mileage of my commute much larger leading to an expensive bill. I would not recommend these vehicles to others, as safety is paramount. Thanks,

You can try putting down the proper mileage for the truck rental rather than send me an invoice for additional mileage when I paid for 150 kilometres, and was under this, and I made sure the truck had more gas than I received it. C.R.

I nearly didn't have access to any rental vehicle at all on the day of my move after U Haul changed my reservation location without notice. I will never rent from u haul again, not worth the stress.

Not very clear communications on refueling. I ended up filling more than I needed to and there was no recourse for doing so.

went and got the trailer, the girls at the front were rude the guy that helped with the trailer was even ruder. got in my truck and was revving the piss out of it. another customer was waiting outside and was like wow this guy doesn't care about your vehicle does he. sent me with the trailer with 0 lights working on the trailer the guy had told me your good to go. I had gotten pulled over by the cops and explained to them it was like that and got away with a warning. all in all a very horrible experience and i would like my money back.

The manager was very unprofessional and disrespectful. She misconstrued what was happening and started scolding me at the top of her lungs when there wasn't any need too. I often don't say anything about people who seem to be having a bad day but it was absolutely unnecessary and not a good look for uhaul.

Uhaul truck I was given was very dirty and during covid times I expected that to be a priority as it's protocol everywhere except uhaul apparently. Also to many people in line in the morning with only having two people working the check in process Pick up was for 9am and I didn't get the truck till almost 10am. Very unorganized.

I didnt request a time change, but they changed my time and made me move in the dark... while its icey outside. I booked a month in advance as well. Didnt care at all, and didnt offer anything extra for the inconvenience. Wasnt able to move everything because of this.

The truck bed was sheet metal and in the winter conditions this became very slippery and dangerous. My moving crew slipped several times. The truck battery was not well maintained and drained while we were parked. Needed to call Roadside assistance for a boost. Not acceptable in my opinion. The truck also had a hard time changing gears. Ran allot in second gear. Maybe it is time to retire this unit.

Having rental vehicles in Canada where the speedometer does not clearly show the speed (in km/h) is unacceptable. I will not be renting from U-Haul in the future based on this deficiency in safety equipment.

Only difficulty is, your location isn't fenced. You've told me your trucks aren't “full” of fuel due to gas theft, so it involves guesswork to refuel on my part, however your instructions on that part are very accurate so that's good. That's the “only” reason I didn't tick off - excellent on overall review. Your customer service is awesome! “Special mention” of Vanessa & Laura & the men who got the truck ready for me to inspect the truck, as all are very professional, yet kind & sensitive to my needs, likes, & concerns. Also your call centre folks are awesome! I'm never left holding on the phone. Last, my electronic ability is lacking re bringing in truck after hrs & electronically checking in, but you folks compensate more than adequately. Great experiences! When renting trucks to move people, I automatically think U-Haul as no one else can compare, especially on the price, bottom line. Hats off to to U-Haul!!! Blessings - Dan Styles

A verbal reminder to respond to the txt msg regarding the condition of the vehicle, might be a good idea. I forgot to do this, and when I remembered, it had expired.

1. The site is well organized but very congested 2. The personnel on site do not have mechanical lifting aids to help lift heavy trailers onto customer hitches, this is an Alberta OH&S Sec 14 Lifting and Handling Loads requirement.

I drove 13 miles and was charger 36 dollars for fuel.... Uhaul website says there is a fee if brought back below 1/4 tank but I was above that so there should be no fee except the fuel cost... So how do they explain $36 for fuel when I only traveled 13 miles

You only have 3 fifteen min, parking spots plus 1 handicap site. Your staff tell us to park on the St. where there are NO parking spaces or behind the building. That land belongs to the empty business next door. It says reserved 24 hours. Please reduce the number of U Haul vehicles on site, so that you can provide CUSTOMER Parking. It the City of Cal. was to visit your site I am sure that that you come nowhere near the required parking stalls for your business. UHaul is parking their vehicles where it should be public parking.consistently. There is a simple solution to the growth of your business, PURCHASE OR LEASE THE VACANT LAND LOCATED TO THE IMMEDIATE NORTH OF YOUR UHAUL LOCATION.
