I found that other drivers seemed to have a hard time seeing when I had my signal lights on. Perhaps they are not bright enough? The truck speedometer was only in miles so I had no idea how many kilometers I was driving at any point in time. The dolly in the back was an optional feature we did not need or use, we found it to be in the way and an unnecessary obstacle when loading the truck. If we needed a dolly we would have ordered one. If we rent a truck it would be nice if we could use the entire truck instead of tripping over a dolly in the way.

I just wanted to commend the counter clerk. Our reserved vehicle had not yet been returned by the previous renters and she quickly arranged for another vehicle so that we didn't have to stand around and wait for the assigned vehicle. She was very pleasant and helpful.

Picked up a trailer and was charged $111 for a vehicle i used in 2004 the said I'd traveled 500 miles with it when I'm acual fact I never left the city I probley traveled a 50 miles att the most

Equipment and overall rental experience was excellent and such a great price. Service agents helping out in the lot were friendly and helpful. Only negative experience for me was the service agents at reception desk inside; they seemed grumpy and preoccupied and had me standing there 3-4 mins before even acknowledging me.

I had the rental until Tuesday -- on Sunday got a call asking to return the U-Haul on Monday to help another customer out. So drove from Canmore to Wpg on Sunday and unpacked to return the U-Haul Sunday -- asked if something could be done about the flat rate and heard nothing back . Here is the file # Hello Mr. Guimond I have made a file requesting compensation and sent it to management, someone will get back to you within 3 business days. My origional appointment was booked a week prior at the location off Barlow trail NE. I had told the person on the phone I was taking the trailer to Edmonton and back and moving an apartment unit. I arrived there to find out they didn't book me in for the times we had discussed on the phone. I asked for an appointment around 4 pm. And a drop off at about 8-9 am the next day. I got to the Barlow location to find out there was no trailer until 6 pm and not guaranteed it will be there at 6 pm. I was also informed the trailed "I rented" was for "in town use only". Also my drop off time was booked for 5 am! When the shop is closed. I was quite upset as I had a long drive ahead of me. I asked for a manager and she proceeded to be the biggest JERK I have ever met in my life!!!!!! She told me this was ALL my fault and that she was going to do nothing for me and it's my problem. She told me that I had made the errors and I'm wrong and that I could pay more money for a different unit such as a truck and pay km. At this point I called my mom to help with the situation as the general manager was not living up to the promises made to me. I passed my phone to the general manager and she said two words to my mom and while my mom was talking she put the phone on her desk because she no longer wanted to listen to my mother who was trying to be very polite and cooperative with her. The phone was also not on speaker so she was just ignoring her completely. She never told my mom that she was going to set the phone down. She just set it down and went about her ways of being a complete and utter disrespectful human being. I have NEVER in my life seen someone treat their customers like this!!!!! I was furious at this point. Not only had she disrespected me! But my mother as well who was just trying to help the situation. I was forced to drive through rush hour back across the city only to turn around and head out of north Calgary. I was also forced to wake up early after a long night and drive 30 min each way from my house compared to the 10 min it would have taken me to get to the Barlow location. I can not even begin to explain my frustration and anger towards this whole situation. And I can not believe that a corporation such as yours would hire someone like this as a GM. The GM had also called a woman named dawn at one point while she set my phone on her desk with my mom speaking and Dawn was a spitting image of the GM at the Barlow location. I work in a industry where customer service is key to the success of a business. My clients would never be treated like this. And I don't even know how to go about this situation. I was completely disregarded and disrespected in a matter of 30 min. My mother was treated as if she was "dirt under the shoes of this woman" Please know that when ever I know someone looking for a rental I will make them aware of this situation. Sincerely A very upset customer.

To me Uhaul has a terrible reputation. I traveled across the city in rush hour traffic. Only to find out l got the wrong trailer which would not suite my needs so l left without a trailer. My other experience with Uhaul was when l drove a bus full of girl guides with all their luggage to camp ( along with two other buses in the same condition) because once more Uhaul did not provide a cargo trailer as requested. NEVER will use Uhaul again.

Extremely rude customer service!!. We only had cash to pay for the moving van. We were not able to pay cash because the manager was not there, and because of that they treated us with disrespect and we did not even argue. Two young RUDE, stressed out girls treated us like Crap.

The service from both the counter staff as well as the lot attendant was fantastic. I was assisted quickly and processed through with no hassles from the friendly staff. Once outside, two gentlemen hooked up the trailer for us and got us on our way. The entire process from arrival to driving away couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes. Returning the trailer was even easier. Definitely a very positive experience.

I had a very bad impression and first experience here. I've used Uhaul a few times and this was by far the worst location I've seen. Front desk worker was cold and short with me and couldn't be bothered to be there. She had a pack of cigarettes sitting out on her desk, and she spoke so fast and wasn't facing towards me when she spoke, so that I didn't understand a word she was saying when giving me directions on the rental process. The only part I understood was when she snapped back at me that I "can't be parked in their parking lot and I have to be on the street" (which thank you, but i already was parked on the street). The man who showed me the van had incredible body odour, and also mumbled and didn't look at me when speaking, so again I couldn't understand what he was getting at. He opened one of the back doors for a second then slammed it shut before I could even look inside, then he just walked around pointing at little X stickers all over and I assumed he was showing me the previous damage. Then he motioned towards the open drivers door and told me to get in and walked away. The vehicle itself was filthy and hadn't been wiped down in ages, and it had empty boxes jammed behind the seats. The location was grungy and dirty. When we dropped the vehicle off the staff was outside having a cigarette and an older blonde lady says "you can drop the keys off with me but I ain't billing you right now (putting her hand up), so give me the keys and we will charge your card". I understand the process and we weren't even looking to be billed, we were just walking towards them to giv e them the keys back. She could have been more professional and polite, in fact all of the staff could have been. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time I was there. Not to mention I drove from Uhaul to my home which is only 8km and in that time the gas meter dropped close to an 8th of a tank, which seemed a little fishy to me. I won't be using Uhaul Blackfoot again and will make sure I suggest my friends and family avoid this location as well.
