This truck seemed to ride worse than any truck that I have previously rented from Uhaul. Excessive bouncing when hitting normal bumps in the road on the highway. Also seemed to get poor mileage, since I had light weight in the back.Don S.

The location was supposed to open at 7 am, but apparently someone called in sick, so no one showed up until after 8 am, which delayed me. The truck smelled of cigarette smoking and when I returned it, I asked if I could get a credit for the moving pads, which I never used and were still in the plastic packaging, but the guy at the desk apologized and said he could not process a credit for that.Joe M.

Fix your tools for returning equipment after hours. I tried to use the online tools to return the equipment and it was horrible. I could not get the tool to detect my location even though location services was enabled. I could not use the camera to either scan the location bar code nor to take a picture and have it recognize the bar code. After spending 30 minutes trying to get the online tool to work I have up and used the chat function. After waiting 8 minutes for a chat operator, they told me they could not help with equipment return and to call customer service. I called customer service and the system said it would be a 30 minute wait. After 15 minutes I finally gave up and dropped the key in the drop box and left. I wasted nearly an hour trying to use the automated tools, chat sessions and trying to call customer service when I could have simply dropped the keys in the lock box and left. Paid cash and specifically asked once we got back if there were any extra charges or ANYTHING else that we need to pay or take care of and the guy in the shop just waved his hand all good. 3-5 days later I get a email/text I owe another 44 dollars get paperwork in order and dont just assume customers paid By card and that you can charge them later when you decideJoshua B.

I returned the truck cleaner than when I picked it up. I also returned it with more gas, because the invoice claimed 1.5 gals would replace my 20 mile use and I pumped the 1.5 gallons, inserted the key to accessory mode and it didn't register - so I went back out and pumped another gallon of gas - at this point I had replaced 2.5 gallons for what would be a total mileage of 23 miles upon return. That was a very expensive 23 miles.Ann H.

Not renting trucks with a full tank of gas is a joke and will keep me from ever renting from UHaul again, which is too bad, as both locations were great. But guess what? I'm not up for playing "let me try to guess how much is half a tank" when I'm filling prior to returning...especially with gas prices what they are, You are scamming people with this. Nobody is going to correctly guess a half tank of gas. You're going to be under, or you're going to be over...and either UHaul is going to make you pay for returning less than you should have, or they're going to benefit from the free gas you just gave them for going over. Get it together, UHaul. Times are tough, we don't need you out here straight up scamming people.Mathew B.

Pick up and return were great - our customer service rep was friendly and efficient. We did have a problem at home with starting the van, and tried to call Roadside Assistance, only to have trouble getting to a representative. We ultimately solved the problem and finished our rental.Lynn B.

The truck had no gas but because we didn't take a picture there was nothing to do. There should be locks on the pumps so that gas cannot be siphoned.Meredith S.
Make sure the trucks work properly before giving them to a customer. The one I rented had to be jumped not once but twice in the same day. The roof leaked and damaged my belongings. The mirrors fell ever time I hit a bump and the breaks barely worked.Amanda R.

I filled up the gas passed the required mark to help the next person who was to use this truck. However, when I showed up on time with a full tank, I was informed that I was NOT going to be compensated for the extra fuel. Gas is not cheap right now. So I paid over $100 just to be told that â€œthere is no way for us to calculate how much we would owe you.â€ Apparently this policy is a one way street where you folks will nickel-and-dime the customer when he/she does not bring the truck back with the required amount of fuel that was presented during pickup. Yet when I come back with a full tank I am greeted with â€œwe cannot calculate that,â€ and I am sent on my way. After driving halfway up the east coast non-stop, I was hoping for a little more from you guys. To be greeted with a corporate runaround phrase was less than ideal. I know you folks need to make money and keep this business alive. However, this kind of fine print bs is something that will prevent future customers. I am sure I will use this service again since you folks are the best in the business, yet I can't help but feeling like I was duped into paying more than I should have. Good day.Trenor C.
