Rented a 26ft truck. Came with ZERO gas!!! Was told somebody siphoned the tank overnight. The guy went to the gas station to fill a 5 gal can to put in the tank. Wouldn't take the truck to the station. Why was this MY PROBLEM? You rent a truck for a 300+ mile trip and it comes with 5 gal. gas. Sorry, that is not acceptable.

Here's my short story. I rented a truck, i picked our cabinets, the helper locked the trailer, we got to the job site and discovered that they had neglected to put a lock key on the ring. I drive BACK to uhaul, i get a key, do the delivery, I drop off the truck and tell them that I should not be charge the extra mileage because it was their oversight that caused me to put on the extra mileage. I was basically blown off by the the person checking in the truck and was charged for the extra miles anyway. wasnt much but thats not the point.

We had to speak with two separate employees. The first one we spoke to was a younger male with glasses that gave us complete attitude and wouldn't listen to us. Did not even let us rent the trailer. We tried explaining that our truck is a diesel f-250 and he just didn't care to explain, look at the truck (that was parked outside), or even comprehend what we attempted to show him that we can trailer and we have before with this truck. However the second employee that helped us out after the first one left was very understanding and helpful and got us the correct information that we needed and we were on our way within a few minutes. I would recommend this place to a friend but definitely NOT if that younger kid with glasses is working again, not business professional or understanding at all, such little patience.

The staff at this location was great. The problems we experienced were based on corporate. I was quoted a certain price and then when I dropped off the equipment, I was going to be charged extra. The staff took care of it, but it took some time.

U haul made my out of state move a great experience. Everything went well. I would recommend the Ubox if you are single and have one bedroom apt worth of stuff. The only negative thing is long on hold waiting to talk to customer service.

The no one way rentals is a total rip off I wanted to move 150 miles 300 miles roundtrip $480 in mileage plus $39 and 9% tax are you kidding me $600 to move 150 miles rip off and you need two phone numbers and a photograph of my drivers license to rent a $3500 trailer are you kidding me??

This location used to have better customer service. I assume it's because of covid and high demand for uhauls. The restrictions in place make using a uhaul more expensive than it was a year ago.

I did not have the adapter for the hitch electrical. I had to go back in and buy one. If you had them for rent for, say $4.00, I would have opted to rent one. It would be helpful to ask the customer about the need for an adapter when checking in. I don't recall any questions on the website forms (there were many: "Do you want blankets? Do you want boxes? Do you want help? Do you want..."

While the equipment and employees who work at the stores are first rate, the corporate experience is a nightmare. I reserved a trailer 2 weeks in advance but still had to drive >30 miles to pick it up. When trying to arrange with a local location I get routed to a national call center with a 20 minute wait to speak to someone. Not acceptable!

The truck did not have enough gas to take one small 5 mile trip. i was told that i had 1/4 tank full. I had much less and i got stuck in the middle of my move, which wasted about 3 hours of my time. When i mentioned this to the manager, i was not compensated at all. i will not recommend going there again.

Honestly my biggest issue was actually getting a 5 x 8 trailer. After that the rest of the experience was pleasant. Very helpful staff at the Curtner location.

Had excellent service. Only complaint is that there were no trucks in my immediate area (Los Gatos/ Saratoga/ San Jose West) and had to pay for milage to get to and from far away location, adding about $30 too bill.
