I would have rated it 5 stars but no one mentioned the $20 fee for not using the online night checkout. I asked the guy that assisted me and he said, â€œno, don't worry about that, not necessary.â€ Please let people know that there is a fee if you don't go online to do the checkout when returning the truck after hours.JULIE G.

There was a little trash in the cab of the truck still. Having more readily available trash cans for people returning and picking up would help. Mobile pickup / drop off worked well, but still had to wait a little while to get the keys. Would be nice to have a way to get those without having to wait for an attendant to be free.Daniel S.

Seemed to be a newer employee who helped me with my Ubox and overcharged me as I scheduled two Uboxes but only needed one. I eventually got my refund but would have been nice to have the manager oversee the transaction so the overcharge wouldn't have occurred in the first place.Kendall V.

I had a utility dolly reserved. They didn't have it when I picked up the truck. I am not sure if its true but I was told by the gentleman behidn the counter that the truck reservation is guaranteed but not the dolly and other equipments. When the truck has a flat tire before pick up and they only put air into it instead of replacing the tire. This was only the beginning of my worest experience renting ever. on 9-6-21 i went to the san jose curtner store. i paid for 2 days on the truck to another town. before i left the tire had a flat. they put some air sprayed some soapy water and sent me.on my way. on 9-8-21 i was suppose to return the truck at 3pm i filled truck with some more gas and checked the tires around 10am. i notice it had already lost some psi(air). i filled it again and checked at 1pm. it was really flat . i got caught up in some stuff at home and i realised making this trip with this tire and my kids wasnt gonna happen. i was frustrated and just put it off asuming they would fix the tire and give me an extra day to make the trip. around 9-10pm i called them explaining the situation. it seemed like excellent customer service. they seemed to understand and had some one come fix the truck that very night. i didnt ask for an extra day but from the convo i had asumed they understood and was working with me.they finished the tire and i went to bed. when i woke up the next day the uhaul had been hit and run. and one of my cars was damaged. again they seemed to understand and even offered to tow the truck to my destination around 80 miles away because it was full already. again it seemed like excellent customer service. i explained if they can fix the mirror and its safe id be glad to just drive it myself. the repairs were finish around 3pm i believe. pretty much a whole day they will charge me.for but i had no access to drive it. so now i have 2 days which is $140 i couldnt use the truck. to top it off my storage unit had given my spot away because i couldnt make it in time. so i was forced to drive even further and unload there around 40 miles. this place charged me for 4 days extra. i got a $300 bill plus i had already paid 300. this is absolutely the worest experience ever. i wouldnt recommend this ever. just hire someone. ita a fraction of the price and much less labor.MICHAEL F.
Trailer reservation and pickup was easy and communication regarding a change of pickup location was good. The only issue was the drop off location kept getting changed around and the return date ended up being a day less than it should have. I didn't need the extra day so it was not a problem for me this time but would be upsetting if I needed it.GREGORY W.

apparently isaac stagi does NOT talk to the scheduling folks in fremont! EVERYTHING was wrong on my contract but i was not asked to review said contract , just a signature.. i was wayyy over charged.. by alot of money.. it took me 4 days of calling uhaul scheduling department just to get ahold of uhaul on curtner. as NObody would ever answer the phone! so disappointed!!!LANCE S.

I wanted to pick up in Santa Clara, my reservation was confirmed for Santa Clara, then updated to pick u in San Jose. This added ~2 hours additional time in pick up and delivery. Not happy about reservation confirmation at one location then being foced to pick up at a different location.Jeffry H.

The location is convenient, but the truck was filthy. Covered with bird poop and the inside of the windshield was so grimy I could hardly see through it. They were terribly understaffed and only had one person checking people in during Labor Day weekend when many people are moving.Elizabeth R.

i rented a 26" truck with NO fuel in the tank , i was told that you have enogh gas to take you to the gas station . i will never rent from the location again and will also let my network of friends know aboiut the horrible expierinse i had with the Genral manager . please have a manager call me at 408-605-2877 to explain more .RONNY M.

Reserved a 20 ft truck, but received a 15ft truck that I had to pick up in another location. Not ideal, but I understand how the demand could be greater than the supply. It would have been nice to had received a call in advance to be notified of change of truck and location.RAYMOND R.
I was told that I could drop off the truck at any location in the El Dorado area. This was advised to me by the uhaul worker. This was inaccurate as I was later told on the drop off day that I had to drop the truck off at Folsom location on Natoma St.NEIL V.

I would recommend it if they were in the general vicinity and they had the vehicle they were looking for. Otherwise NO. I did online checking in advance when I got there I could not scan and go. The U-Haul in Austin was fighting with a mover who was referred to me by a friend. My friend had used this mover a month earlier and had found him via U-Haul. She recommended him to me and gave me his number. The manager thought the mover was trying to get around U-Haul but that was not true. When I spoke to him in person, he was obviously frustrated and angry towards me. I certainly didn't deserve that. Eventually he was helpful but he still would not allow my mover onto the property. I had to buy towing parts for my car in order to actually get my possessions to my apartment. If U-Haul requires me to go through the web site to choose a mover, you should make that clear. If U-Haul doesn't allow movers to take referrals, that's just plain wrong. Not sure I'll use U-Haul again.Nicolas C.
